- A Houston restaurant manager is shaken after discovering horrific acts being committed by one of his employees right in his restaurant. Marcus Davis owns several Houston restaurants and requires all his employees to undergo strict background checks. However, Davis claims he was shocked when one of his employees, 27-year-old Othello Holmes, hired for a cook position at Kulture Restaurant And Lounge, was caught on camera engaging in lewd conduct and tampering with open food items. After further investigation, Holmes was also caught with hundreds of graphic sexual images and videos of children. What actions are police taking? So a criminal background check won’t detect mental illness and just because one suffers with mental illness doesn’t mean you are a criminal. Unfortunately, I don’t think there was anything that could have been done to prevent this however, now he has been caught and has a criminal record. Installing more cameras will definitely help. So disturbing

No Company (Restaurant or other) can watch their workers 8 to 12 hours a day in real time.
@IndiGeaux to be fair regarding the restaurant industry, cameras are there to review an incident in play back mode to show proof of an incident or if someone breaking in. its not like you have someone watching a live camera in real time duration of the restaurant. you can watch activities from your home but you can only watch so much hours on non activity as this is isolated case. to watch in real time someone working cooking/in kitchen all day or night is not economical and not realistic. bad people out there unfortunately ately

I went to a local family owned restaurant and the door to the kitchen was open a bit and the things I saw! I eat there OFTEN with family and didn’t think anything of it until i was driving two hours home and my face and lips and throat became very itchy ughhh. I work in fast food and could NEVER imagine knowingly contaminating something im going to serve to customers🧐
Note: my whole chest turned red and itchy and my tongue became a bit swelled up i took some Benadryl and made it home SAFELY😭

I don’t let nobody touch my food. I prepare all my meals myself their times that I’m tired. I went to a restaurant to eat Chinese food and I couldn’t see them touching my food so the girl I told the girl I’ll forget about it and she was like why I said I can’t see them. I don’t know what they’re doing to my food and this is why Because people are nasty. There’s a lot of restaurants that I’d love to try and eat you know fast food but when you go, you see the big menu, but you can’t see them we should be able to see them cook the same way they do hibachi. They do it in front of you well, not necessarily like that, but they should have a view where you can see into the kitchen that’s how that Spanish restaurant was you could see directly into the kitchen and they could see the customers walking by, but you can also see them doing their little nasty habits, which they did
