I had a restraining order in FL. It wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. My ex violated it daily. I called the police daily. Their daily response was they couldn't do anything unless they caught him at my house. He always left before they arrived. I was horrified when I woke one night and he was creeping thru the house. The next night before bed, I covered my whole house with dishes, glasses and utensils all over my floor so I would know if he broke in. That was on a Thursday. I quit school, my job, packed up and moved to another city that Tuesday. Havent spoken to him in 23 years.

I was in a Dv situation and after I put him in jail for putting his hands on me. I packed all my things stayed with friends for the night and moved far away to another county where he couldn’t find me. Best decision I ever made this man had people harassing me on my phone forcing me to get back with him. He kept trying to figure out where I live too. Since he couldn’t get to me this man started taking me to court trying to destroy me and send me to jail for 10 years he labeled me as the aggressor. This year my case was totally dismissed and expunged they had no evidence of his claim. Best thing to do is to move.
My stalker (who put me in the hospital for 6 weeks) assaulted his ex, basically busted her lip and somehow he ended getting a restraining order on her, claiming she was the aggressor.. all while still trying to contact her.
@@lovelymayhem9851 man story of my life some of these men grew up in toxic and abusive homes never got counseling don’t want to get help and continue the cycle they think it’s okay. I grew up in a toxic home and I refuse to continue the cycle.

Secondly, don’t you guys remember that beautiful black woman who Trump ended up letting out of jail who was facing 20 years prison time after her documented abusive husband, broke into her house and came to attack her, and all she did was shoot three warning gunshots into the air and told him to leave her home. No one got hurt, but she was sentenced to 20 years in prison which that’s considered life in prison because that’s typically the years of someone gets when they get life. And if it weren’t for that old scandal Trump, who I don’t like letting her out, she will still be sitting in there. So this whole standard ground doesn’t even work for everyone because this case took place in Florida, which we all know has a stand your ground law based off of the Travon Martin case. So it worked for George Zimmerman, but I didn’t work for this beautiful black woman, who only shot warning shots in the air.

Be careful moving people in. Even if it is for a short time. Because if it doesn't work out, it can be hard to get them out, legally. That ex was a lunatic. So sad her brother lost his life. That man need to shut the hell up about documenting a file with police and letting apartment manager know. Neither will care to help. I know that for a fact. You will be expected to deal with domestic disputes alone. Most people move away, or go to shelters, start life elsewhere, etc. Not everyone have those options.

A restraining order doesn't mean anything to them, make sure you protect yourself after you get the restraining order, and be cautious. After a break up is the most dangerous time. You have to pay extra attention, even more so now with the technology. Be safe everyone.

I've been in the space of those with "Mental Personality Disorders.' Some are harmless, but many can't cope with realty and would exploit, expose, or try to eliminate you physically. They have an ability to fabricate their "issues" to gain trust and use the weaknesses of others to have control over every issue.
