    I love listening to this genre. My dad struggled with war memories; I remember that he taught classical music to a college town in California. They did not understand his theories about how to create this kind of gloriousness though, and think that is why we moved back to Texas. But he was very serious about his love for this type of music. I came to embrace it when I got older. I miss him so much. God bless you, Zack Stewart (my dad; I love his name!). I do realize why you loved this music so much. It seems that I appreciate it more and more as time goes on. I miss you so much, Dad. God bless you.

      Sue Kimmey: So much love for your father...I suppose you were pretty close too? I wish I had been closer to mine. He had his childhood wounds and not learnt emotional contact with himself, and could not nurture my girl-soul to grow freely. Only after his death did I get it properly , that he gave his love for us through all his practical work, help and fixing.I blame(d) myself for not being the humorous, simple kind of daughter he could relate more to. I am grateful for his work-ethic, faithfulness, tenacity and orderliness. He should have set limits to my traumatized mother's abuse though... Were you free of abuse, suppression? - Hope my connecting is OK. I was touched by your loving epitaph of yours.

    The way each note blends seamlessly with the next and the way the sound builds and swells to create a lush, emotional landscape is nothing short of mesmerizing. There's something about the sound of a group of violins playing together in harmony that is both soothing and exhilarating, and it's no wonder that this instrument has been a cornerstone of classical music for centuries. Whether you're listening to a solo violinist or a full symphony orchestra, the power and beauty of the sound will leave you in awe.

  • @guilhemchameyrat
    @guilhemchameyrat 5 лет назад +7

    C'est assez irrégulier : dans l'ensemble cela reste très bien ( on entend peu de cinquième de cette qualité aujourd'hui ). Je m'explique : à certains moments c'est extraordinaire, le son d'orchestre ( le Concertgebouw quand même ) est assez grisant, mais à d'autres moments la tension se perd au profit de la contemplation ( dernier mouvement ). Il est à noter que Fischer ne suit pas les indications précises de tempo de Beethoven ( contrairement à Chailly, Bruggen, Gardiner ) et c'est bien de pouvoir écouter un peu de liberté d'interprétation aujourd'hui. En effet, les baroqueux ont imposé une sorte de dictat historique, ce qui peut devenir pénible. Une très belle interprétation en somme, après ce n'est que mon avis, et je ne suis pas musicien, encore moins musicologue...

    Ik luisterde altijd naar de uitvoering van Von Karian, maar deze uitvoering ...
    Zo rustig, telkens opnieuw opklimmen in het thema, zonder noten af te kappen..
    Genieten met een grote G en K van kunst.
    Op 20 en 24 minuten heb je zo'n voorbeelden van kimmen naar de top.
    Altijd het thema, instrument per instrument en weer opklimmen.
    Kippenvel krijg ik ervan. Wat een maestro , zowel de compponist als de dirigent.

    This video recording is probably the best one of Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 available. I love the second movement (Andante con moto) of this symphony. Unfortunately, I thought that the orchestra had a rough spot running from about 15:20 to about 15:35 in the that movement. Perhaps I am wrong and that it is the conductor's interpretation of the music at that point.

    Beethoven's Fifth Symphony is the alpha and omega of his works.

    beethoven is typically the classical I can't stand there's nothing in there it's just 'classical' totally empty. it's almost sick, maybe those neo-nazi's in ukraine maybe they like 'beethoven'. oh god I can't stand 'classical' it some kind of torture and it goes on and on. It's some kind of 'image' there are those instruments and they are playing that stuff and there's the conductor offcourse some people love that stuff I totally hate it. can't stand 'classical' yuk. bach is offcourse great there is some real meaning in there. And hildegard von bingen that's the really divine stuff. but 'beethoven' yuk.. it's typically that classical stuff where the orchestra is everything and that whole stuff with instruments and everyting as if the procedure has become a thing onto itself. they just love the 'procedure' of classical it's not about the music.

    Why is there a guy just sitting there next to the second flute?

    • @Concertgebouworkest

      That is Vincent Cortvrint, and he plays the piccolo ;) You can watch him play for example at 26:05 min.

      Unfortunately he is the "piccolo" player and his performance begins in the last part of the piece. Same with the basso bassoon sitting behind him........sits throughout the performance until the last minutes. Watch carefully and you will see them both do their "thing".
