I just hope this years Trooping of the colour isn’t a washout .. early indications suggest Britain’s weather this summer might be the wettest summer since 1912 .. pray for good weather everyone
It could have been a combination of the heat and the excitement. That's nice that they took them back and allowed them to rest. The 1st one looked wrung out. The 2nd one was completely wound up. To me, neither is good. So lovely to see the horses so well cared for. Made me feel good to see it.
They were on BBC news last night looking great. That's all due to the wonderful work by veterinary staff and Soldiers . They are currently at The Horse Trust having respite and lots of fun
So funny - after just watching a 10 min vid on a horse refusing to be boxed, now I find one with 2 horses that can't get into the box fast enough lol!!
Sometimes they just don't feel like working and unlike human employees, their moods are taken seriously and they are removed for their safety as well as for the safety of the other horses and troopers. Not a good idea to try to keep a grumpy 1000 employee working when he/she isn't feeling it.
So why does one of them have a needle in her hand- while the horses walking around nervously- the last horse with one white back right side foot n very small white mark on his forelock -he is one of the sweetest one there I know , so when they went into the truck who gave the shot to the horse or did they do both of them n why? white
Why indeed? Everyone says how well trained they are, but they won’t stand still, they barge into their handlers, which is basic training for all horses
@barbaraedwards1536 it doesn't matter how well trained a horse is, if it's agitated it doesn't stop to think " oh dear I'm not supposed to this am I?"
@@barbaraedwards1536 If it is feeling unwell - maybe a touch of colic, then it will be agitated and in pain. Injection might have been pain relief. They are like humans and other animals - when in pain, they return to basic instinct. Think when you bang your head hard - you want to react, swear, lash out. Same thing for any animal in pain. Sòme of these horses could do with some training in natural horsemanship as they have no respect on the ground. They walk right through the troopers and don't learn to stand and respect their space. Im not saying they are not well looked after but they would be a lot easier to handle on the ground.

Whoever is responsible for the Training of both Horses & Riders needs to be removed - the Ability of the Riders (especially their "Seat") & Posture is appalling, & the Horses are not Public Ready - the South Australian Mounted Police Department were Superior to this Lot back in the 70's, 80's & probably even now, so it shows the lack of Knowledge & DISCIPLINE is affecting all aspects of Professions.
These horses are treated like royalty which is lovely to see
No they are not. Do you think they want a bit in their mouths and walking on pavement?
Niceeeeeee to see the wonderful care … these beauties are well worth the kindness…. ❤️❤️❤️

Nice to see behind the scenes. The horse's welfare is taken seriously.
Of course it is what did you expect
Always is
I enjoy watching these videos, at my age it's as close as I will get to actually being there
😮😮😮😮. I hope that the two horses are OK.
What about the trooper
The 2 horses are still receiving treatment but are getting better
@@DawnKillorn thank you for the information

They could have been too unsettled, it only takes one to set the others off. Safer for everyone if they are taken away and rested.
I completely agree.
Praying they are feeling better
God Bless
Such Majestic Beautiful Horse's
I've seen them 2 Beauties at Horse Guars❤😉
I hope the horse will be ok.
What about the troops
Good mornig

these are very high strung horses
Looks like to were taken off, must have been something wrong with them, nothing to do with rain.
It may be a shoe problem.
Probably back to Hyde Park Barracks to see the farrier .
I’m assuming the injection is if the horses become too anxious and it’s something to calm them down for transporting them but it is just an assumption
Depends on what they use. Some meds can react to the horses' adrenaline, which can cause increased anxiety.
They should have made some babies with those two horses on the side of the building going into the trailer!!!! They were beautiful!!! To me anyway.
They are nearly all geldings, with just a few mares, in the Household Cavalry, so there are never going to be babies from them. 😉
Why just the one horse, is it ill?
Good Question.

I'm not sure about the shot because I didn't see it but I am sure the handlers know what they are doing.

2nd one strong
Looks like Ormonde
That is what I thought too! He never wants to work, and when he does he is biting people.
couldn't have been Ormonde, he didn't bite anybody.
what is going on with the king horse
Restless. Pony is uncomfortable
That looks like oemande
She,s preparing aninjection of some kind.
Might be pain relief ?
Don’t the horses learn if they misbehave they will be taken off duty? Seems like a new plan that doesn’t reward them for bad behavior is needed.

The 2nd horse was obviously would up for some reason. Are you dim?
they are missing out on the ability to go graze in a field. Just be able to relax and be a horse for awhile
The lady trooper had a syringe ready. Wonder what that was for
To byla vojenská veterinářka, podívejte se pořádně než něco napíšete!!!
Vet, trooper, she was right. Didn't see it administered know it all

How would they cope in battle because that's what they are
You will be happy to know we don't ride horses into battle anymore
They now ride in light tanks.....

Really Brits are best
Why does every second word start with a capitol letter? You are talking rubbish.

Horses (and riders) are insufficiently trained. None of them are at comfort in the saddle
Nonsense.
The horses and riders are thoroughly trained and can cope with everything that they are subjected to. Everyone gets the jitters now and again !!
When I looked it up I was shocked at how little training they get .
So not true.
They are highly skilled
