    Japan is peaceful. You're so lucky, Aden. I love how she cooks and prepares his meals. So delicate and methodical- no "rush, rush, rush like it is here in the US. Having a decently prepared dinner must be a pleasure, as well as being quiet and respectful.

    I am surprised to see that she cooked the steak on low heat, I guess to not burn the vegetables, or to avoid too much smoke.

    Honestly, that seemed amazing value for money. Three incredible cuts of steak lovingly fried that way for 20.000 yen seems amazing to me.

    Personally, I would have preferred a harder sear on the steaks, as well as a fresh plate for each one. The oil was accumulating and the lone little dab of wasabi left on the used plate was sad.

    raw.... even the cheapest sukiyaki serves with reasonable high heat.

      That's how its suppose to be served. Also, Aden might've ordered it very rare; we burn our meats to high and too fast in the west. All the natural flavor and juices are evaporated. Poor animal was sacrificed so we can at least take our time and savor its flesh.

      True Wasabi has a bright, vegetal flavor with heat that dissaptes quickly - it doesn't over power the food. The aroma is delicate and somewhat floral. The ersatz Wasabi available outside of Japan, has a harsh pungent flavor and doesn't contain actual Wasabi.

    The Chef's hands ..... are exquisite. Yes the meal is definitely a feast for the eyes but this is the entire package. Here in the States the chef would be a sista with nasty fake nails the length of chopsticks painted with plastic diamonds epoxied to them. Thank you sharing.
