I think the MIDI controllability is something a lot of people gloss over. You can automate channel/boost selection either in the studio with midi tracks from your DAW, or simultaneously with other effects on stage using a midi controller. Being able to control a tube preamp section this way is a very rare thing and until now has only been possible with somewhat bulky and VERY expensive rigs.

Things can't go wrong when you start your video with Leeway's infamous "rise and fall" riffs.
I've gigged with this for quite some time and very easy to use. I use direct and no issues at All. Fun to see the expression from other players as they come to my board and ask where my amp is and I point to the ReVolt

This turns my plexi into a 4 channel amp. Works and sounds great. If I just want to bring my pedalboard to a gig for FOH, I have a Cab M Plus. This works great also!
Absolutely love this pedal. I have tried almost every solution out there for an amp-less rig, Line6 Rocktron AxeFX pedal sims, etc. They all suck, dudes. Real talk. The ReVolt is the only unit that gets your tone in the ballpark of a real 100w tube head when fed in to the CAB M+ with IR, and you can gig going direct out and still sound pretty good. Love it. If it was $700 I would still get it. The Laney 60w is also pretty good, but I don't need the 60w amp section in my case. I ordered mine with you affiliate link. Thanks for all the great videos homie

Awesome demo as always! Yeah your experience with "channel 3" on this unit mirrors what I've seen with other demos. Sadly the old Two Notes Le Lead had a better high gain tone than this unit. That said, channels 1 and 2 were great, think I might sit this one out and wait for a 2.0 version.

Dang it! I got the bass version of this for recording, but I didn't get the guitar version because I was afraid it wouldn't sound that good. Now I kinda wish I had.

Thanks for the review. Not a fan of thrash tones or the buzziness that is dialed in but I appreciate the review. I actually agree with what you said about using a separate IR loader as I love my Cab M. So that keeps my interest although there are plenty of preamp options out there.

Really wish there were more options for tube power amps.
Check out the KSR PA25 or 50. Probably the best tube power amp on the market if you can afford the $800-900 price tag!
@@MetalheadOv666 I'm Canadian so I get dinged with the "fuck you" tax and currency exchange which turns it into about $1500 to my door.
*Its not an AMP SIM, it is an actual 3 CHANNEL ANALOG TUBE PREAMP, w/ BOOST and midi control! The Channels are VOICED after the Marshall Plexi, Soldano SLO-100 which are based on the FENDER BASEMAN which is the clean preamp - IT IS an ANALOG TUBE PREAMP and **#NOT** an amp simulator!*

@@ChristianErikJurickovic Great question - thanks for getting in touch. You cant connect it directly to a cabinet, you would need a separate power amp in-between ReVolt and your cab. Let me know if there is anything else I can clarify for you today!
It wouldn't be a dumb business practice by Two Notes to not add their Wall Of Sound IR software to avoid making the Cab M less necessary to purchase along with the preamp. There's that.

Isn't the SLO pre amp the same as the Rectifier pre amp? I think SLO and rectifiers differences are on the power amp.
Didn't know that ! Interesting, and makes sense in hindsight (because of how similar they can sound and how the poweramp plays a huge part in the Recto tone).
So is the amp’s preamp defeated going into the Revolt when the 4cm switch is engaged? I’ve been watching videos about this and keep wondering how we’re not getting the amp’s preamp along with the Revolt’s preamp.
Not having IRs is the only miss on this thing. Especially since it’s from two notes 🤷♂️

I thought it was better than a lot of people are giving it credit for. I just don’t think it’s what I need for myself
firstly i know this isn't the place for clean channels. i don't come here for that. but in the event that you DO spend a minute on the clean channel, could you test the gain range of it? the gain is way down and it sounds really anemic and boring. most of the time we'd probably put just a little bit of hair on it to bring it to life. especially since it's supposed to model a bassman circuit, and those take gain well
I think you're better off buying an affordable tube amp and a torpedo than this configuration. The concept of this product is a lot more exciting on paper than how it performed. It does have potential though. It needs: more amp selections, better built in IR's, the boost seems to be a bit weak, and has a weird noiseyness.
The XLR out would probably be best served with an IR that includes a tube power amp dialed in how you like it, though that probably means shooting your own IR's which isn't exactly easy to get right.

I bought this one with so many expectations and I was very disappointed. Lead channel sucks, super fuzzy, and the boost is bad on all channels. Crunch channels is decent, but for the price you get just one channel?? not worthy. I sent it back after a week.

I understand what you're saying, it feels weird calling it an amp sim because it's really just a preamp section with lots of cool output options and midi controllability. The fact it has a DI out with built-in cab sim excuses calling it such, though.
also the fact that it's a true tube preamp and truly all-analog sets it apart from other "amp sims." most amp sims are digital or at least partly digital.
