    THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VID. I almost returned the sliders because I couldn't figure out the instructions to what I wanted to do with a drawer I made for my cabinets.

    I can't thank you enough for this video. I was trying to work in a very cramped area and was not able to get the rails level and aligned. I tried your method and everything went great. Thanks again.

    Very nice video, I had decided to not buy these slides from all the bad reviews on the installation manual. But, with you sharing your experience, I am going to give it a try!

    Thanks for the clear explanation. I tried reading the instructions but they were hard to understand. These slides didn't meet my needs well enough to justify the $35 price tag at Home Depot so I decided to return them.

      Mine didn’t even come with instructions. The package says “hardware and instructions included.” Mine has hardware.....and no instructions at all.

    4:58 You glued it and screwed it. Dad passed away in 2001 (22 years ago) at the age of 74 and I was 41 at that time. I'm 63 now. On every woodworking project we ever did, dad would "glue it and screw it." I never realized until just a few days ago while telling that to my sister that dad was making a joke there, by enjoying the freedom to say "screw it." He said that to me for 41 years and I never realized he was making a joke.

    Thanks for the vid... fyi those flat little black plastic pieces are designed as spacers if you need them for the 3/4" screws when you attach the plastic grab locks underneath the front of the drawer.... hard to explain but it is referred to in the instructions that came with mine.

    It looks like you need to secure the slides to the back of the cabinet, not to the bottom? Can you confirm that, before I purchase? I'm trying to figure out an undercount slide under my island stove top which has an obstruction (downdraft vent), so I can not attach to rear, only bottom. I also can't use side mounts (or prefer not to), because face frame width is like 5 inches on both sides and don't want to use spacers that big.

    • @boakesart507
      @boakesart507  3 года назад

      I attached to the bottom front corners of the drawer opening and to the back wall of the cabinet/house. They can be attached to the sides of the cabinets if your cabinet is framed on the sides, but mine were open.

    What was the dimensions of your drawer, not including the front panel.

    • @boakesart507
      @boakesart507  Год назад

      The widths varied, but the length of my boxes were 19 inches. I had to add shims and a block to make them 21.75 inches long to fit the slides. the cabinets were 23.5 inches deep and I added boards in the back to screw the slides into... so 23" deep cabinets. The slides allow about a 2 inch variation of depth to the back of the cabinet. I did a lot of trial and error and bought several different lengths of slide to see what worked with my box/cabinet depth dimensions and returned the ones that were too short or long.

    Mine aren’t as smooth as I’d like, I don’t hear it rubbing, do they break in?

    • @boakesart507
      @boakesart507  Год назад

      I'm not sure what you mean. They should not make noise and should close with just a little push (or on their own if you need them to stay open to put silverware away! 😜)

      I don't know if it will help, but I have found a spray of Pledge helps my sliding doors open smoothly, maybe it will help with your drawers?
