I watched this film with my best friend. All the people in the cinema were crying whether they were men or women. It is a wonderful film and a masterpiece😭💙
We need more trailers like this. It doesn't give everything away about its plot, it doesn't try to be action-y or flashy, it just lets you be fascinated.
Well ... it gave away some info...that they are moving to another place with another tribe, that they have become parents and will fight humans again with the help of a savage boy that they are probably adopting
I was in theaters when this was shown for the first time. I’ve never heard so many people gasp at the start of a trailer, it was almost like we couldn’t believe that it was actually happening. Man, I really hope this film delivers.
Same here. I saw this trailer on May 6 in my cinema just before Doctor Strange played. I must admit I almost teared up a little when it started playing. 😊
Is it bad that I’m hoping this film flops because I think it would be hilarious? I don’t really get the appeal of these movies aside from how beautiful the cinematography is
I was one of the first creature designers who worked on this film (worked on the flying fish/crocodile creatures, the whale creatures, and more with a bunch of other insanely talented people), and I just wanted to say thank you to all of you, the fans. Some of us who worked on the movies do take the time to read through the comments on the trailers, and seeing the overwhelmingly positive response from you all so far has made the YEARS of work that have gone into these films worth it for all of us. Truly, thank you. I'll see you in the theater in December! 💙love from India

What pissed me off about the fake trailers was they never labeled it as "FAN trailer". Every one of those slimy channels tried to pass off their fan-made trailers as official trailers.
Seen the first film as a kid and now the sequel as an adult. It's been more than a decade, time sure does pass by quickly. The background music is sensational btw.
Exactly the same what I think. I was maybe 8-9 years old. Now I can not wait until we see the second masterpiece of Avatar. This...and ONLY this will be my fav movie for the rest of my life
I used to go to sleep as a kid watching Avatar every night to the point that I knew the whole movie by the heartbeat. It also helped me learn English more.

I love the way they've upgraded the whole visual appearance, style and realism without changing almost anything to the naked eye. Everything is super real.
and it lived up to the hype and now the haters who doubted are bending ass backwards to cope with the fact that people all over the world love these movies
The rumor is that they have actually been working on all of the other ones as well so that they can release them in a smaller time frame. So it’s taken awhile but they had way more work than just one movie Edit: this is truth not a rumor. I just couldn’t remember if it had facts behind it.
what nostaligia wave? I never see any nostalgia for avatar. its a weird success in that way cause nobody speaks of it or references it. Unlike Titanic which had a huge emotional pull. Truth is its success was more about technical advances at the time. Now I watch this & think meh its same as 20 yrs back. They still dont look real. Its still cartoon.

This hits home. Not only was the first Avatar my dad's favorite movie EVER, but his number one passion in life was scuba diving/anything aquatic. Would always bring up "only a couple years left" until the next movie. Can't believe he'll never get to witness what looks like a destined masterpiece (passed while on the way to go scuba diving). I'll watch it twice in theaters for both of us.
This is going to be so visually stunning, I cannot wait. The first film was already beyond its years in technology when it came out 13 years ago. This one is going to be phenomenal
If you never saw the first movie in theaters you have no idea how visually stunning this is truly going to be. A movie that must be seen in theaters to truly be appreciated.

I saw the first one when I was 9 years old, now with my 22 years, the truth is I feel a great level of nostalgia and emotion. I know that many criticize the first one, but I keep it very deep in my heart and I hope this one does not disappoint.
Avatar will always be unforgettable for me. This was the first movie i ever saw in 3D, and not to mention CGI this phenomenal had no equal back in 2009. It was easily the most amazing cinema experience i ever had. 13 years later this brings back so many memories too. I am so excited for this!
I was somewhat of a cinema addicted back then. Went min once a week into a movie. When they were good I went twice to see it again. But Avatar is THE only movie I went 8 times to see in the cinema. It was ground breaking with its effects and you could discover each time more. I still love to see it and recently introduced my niece to it - she wants to see it again :)
I loved it too but I didn’t cry but it was a tiny bit emotional. But Damn the other comment is right the people that say avatar or any movie that has a generic storyline is a “masterpiece” is definitely the reason why we don’t have great movies coming out more 🤷🏾♂️
I got goosebumps seeing this trailer. The music, the underwater scenes. I LOVE Avatar! I saw the first movie when I was 10 years old, been longing for the day when the sequel would come out. It’s gonna be awesome on the big screen.
I saw the 1st one when I was 18 and I was in jail at the time. Unfortunately the guard brought a bootleg version so it wasn't as good as the second time I watched it.
@@samblack5313 Some people adore it (that's why it's so successful) but others like to say that its story is just "dances with wolves in space" which honestly isn't even a drag because James Cameron marketed it as that himself before it was released. @@penslol That's blatantly not true. I feel like I'm one of the rare people to have enjoyed it and still like it. Seems like most people either hate it or simply forgot about it, which is weird. Titanic seems to have had longer staying power.

Can I just say this is a perfect example of how you do a teaser trailer. You’re not getting a synopsis of the entire film. But it perfectly gives you a setting and a vibe That’s a trailer.
@@SomeGuy_Somewhere Well yea it is pretty generic, but a lot of people have been waiting for this since 2009, which makes it a lot more special to them even if it's not a masterpiece.
This is how you do a trailer. No plot points revealed, no exposition, no character names. Just beautiful visuals, an incredible score, and a powerful piece of dialogue
To be fair, this is just a teaser. They don't show you all that much yet, just to show some cool visuals with minimum dialogue and that's about it. This is just a teaser

I can’t wait to feel this feeling again, the feeling of absolute awe and wonder only a child can feel. We felt this when we were all children and now we’re all grown up. We’re finally gonna get Avatar: The Way of Water.

Say what you want about James Cameron, but one thing you can't deny is that he's a true pioneer. For the original Avatar, he could have made it a long time ago but he knew the CGI at the time wouldn't do his vision of the film justice. So he spent years and millions of dollars developing new motion capture technology and developed new 3D cameras until he felt he could do it right. With Avatar 2 he knew the under water scenes weren't convincing enough, so once again he spent years and millions of dollars to develop new technology to capture actors actually acting under water. For Titanic, he could have done it all in CGI but knew it wouldn't hold up, so instead he actually had half of the ship built so it would be a realistic as possible Not to mention he's actually been on several under water voyages in the ocean. For better or for worse, he's absolutely unwilling to compromise to create his vision and for that I respect him.
Avatar The Way of Water was absolutely phenomenal, 13 years after the first movie, James Cameron perfectly recaptured the magic and what made the first Avatar so special, so much added world building, the amazing visuals, action, the stunning cinematography, the use of water as the theme for the movie was an excellent idea. Loved how the movie allowed us to explore different tribes and regions of Pandora, the world of Avatar has so much depth. Just an amazing overall movie. 👏👏👏
Fun fact : James Cameron and his filming crew spent almost 10 years on a trip to Alpha Centauri and back, to bring us this masterpiece...Thank you sir !
Exactly what I was thinking when I rewatched the movie yesterday/today.... In the beginning they said it took over 6 years to get to Pandora. It's taken 13 years for a sequel lol.
Now, if only they had also brought back some better graphics than an average PS3 cut scene with them, we'd be cooking with gas! (or should that be Unobtanium). xD
So Cameron discovers some magical technology that let's him travel like 100,000x faster than we are currently able, and used it to make his sequel? Seems about right....
I love how the trailer literally gives nothing away. Like it's just the visuals, graphics and the world being shown with zero spoilers. I'm hyped up for this
They give enough away to get a general idea of the plot. Apparently, the human military that they dealt with in the first film is now preparing for an all out assault. And I presume the human turned blue person will act as a warchief of sorts.
The plot is set more than a decate from the previous one..In theatres we will feel the time that passed from the first release back in 2009! from this point of view is kinda interesting
This teaser does not use jump scares, lens flares and avoids cutting to black all the time. It looks beautiful. It sounds majestic. And, although brief, already has gotten me curious as to the plot. Thumbs up. Absolutely.
I had to come back and watch this teaser again after watching the movie. It's the best movie teaser I've seen in the last 15 years and that says a lot. The movie was beautiful and fantastic. I love the 1st one but the second one was more emotional and action packed. For a 3 hour movie, NOT one scene was dull and boring. James Cameron, you are a mad genius!!!
Cameron is by far one of the most skilled sequel filmmakers period. I love how he doesn’t rush anything he works on but instead takes his sweet time, even if it takes longer than expected. And with his résumé consisting of Aliens and T2, I have super high hopes for this one.

When you actually have a good movie you don't have to spoil and reveal half of the movie in the trailer. I love how the trailer did not show very much that way it's a complete surprise when we see the film. The first movie was very much like this and when I went into the theater I knew very little about the storyline and I was fully blown away.
Just watched the original trailer, they LITERALLY described the entire plot lol. Doesn’t matter, it was still great haha. But honestly I don’t think we need an official trailer for Avatar 2, this is good enough
@@killa2488 if I'm not mistaken that trailer that reveals all the plot is a trailer that was used at a later point to sell the movie once it was available at retail. Either way I didn't see very many trailers for it and I definitely recommend if you really want to enjoy a movie don't watch too much about it.
I wish they had used this style of music for the soundtrack instead. I think it adds much more depth and meaning to the scenes and the world behind them.
If you haven't really, I definitely recommend seeing it more than once. I was very disappointed with the score my first viewing but I tired to be more open in my second viewing. I made a few discoveries. 1- Neytiri's song is sprinkled throughout the entire score 2-The mood of the music is somewhat different for woods scenes vs water scenes. I do have a hard time not comparing the scores because the first is perfection. But I tried to just get lost in the film
@@123afish Half of the OST WAS James Horner's work...from the original film! Sadly the original tracks they had were quite lacking in comparison. There are a few songs that stand out (the songchord being one of them), but not nearly enough. I hope the next movies have better scoring, because the first film had such an iconic sound.
@@user-emilyyyy I will agree with you on that. I have seen the movie three times now, and each time I find myself appreciating the score more. However, I am still very disappointed that they recycled a lot of the music from the first film - in completely inappropriate ways too. Playing the same French horn when Quaritch was killed by Neytiri, for example, while Blue Quaritch was strangling Jake underwater...? The scene in the first movie had an emotional impact because it was tailored specifically for that scene, it signals the climax of the scene and the DEATH of Quaritch. But in the second film, it's just recycled and doesn't hit the same emotional impact as it did in the first, Blue Quaritch is just strangling Jake and it is neither the end of the fight or the end of any characters' lives. It's just there. They can't just play the same Scary Music.mp3 over any scary scene...it loses all meaning when you start doing that.
The fact that they developed technology to film mocap underwater is in and of itself absolutely incredible. Say what you will about Avatar’s story, but there is genuine passion that you can feel went into it. Also, the fact that this film largely takes place in an ocean environment, and knowing how deep of a connection Cameron has to our oceans, makes me incredibly excited as well. 💖💖💖
You must be on hard drugs. There's absolutely nothing different in this trailer in terms of quality. Why people always do this kind of shameless simp? Watch the trailer of the first avatar and then watch this one, there's not a single thing that was improved. I’m happy that you mentioned this. I remember reading an article after the first movie came out saying that want to do 3 more but were waiting for advancements in underwater mocap cgi. It’s amazing that they did all of that instead of immediately making a sequel. I’m sure the movie is going to be filled with beautiful underwater scenes and I cannot wait!
This trailer hits the nostalgia so hard. Seeing the first one in theaters was the greatest cinematic experiences I ever had and I'm really excited for this one!
Whoever they got for the soundtrack after James Horner passed seems to have done a fantastic job. It evoked the same feeling as when i watched the first movie, but it still feels like the story is moving forward.
I believe it would have been Simon Franglen, he was really close to James Horner. His son used to answer the phone and chat with James Horner before he’d pass it on to his dad. I think they’ve got the perfect person to have scoring this film
I remember how long the queues were just to get a ticket and how long we waited just to get inside the cinema when me and my friends first saw Avatar. It was all worth it. Avatar was one of the most unforgettable movie I've ever seen. I was taken aback by how breathtaking Pandora's ecosystem was. I'm definitely looking forward with this 2nd installment and I'm praying that this will top the first Avatar movie.

It is essentially his life's work and I cannot blame the man for devoting so much time to it - he has created one of the most fleshed out and realistic worlds I think I've ever seen in a movie and it's only going to get bigger from now on.
@LuridX: Very sad indeed. I wrote a comment expressing those same sentiments. Cameron took his time. But a little TOO MUCH time. In my view, this film is at least 3 to 4 years overdue. But I definitely think it would look and feel much worse if they rushed the sequels.

facts

When you actually have a good movie you don't have to spoil and reveal half of the movie in the trailer. I love how the trailer did not show very much that way it's a complete surprise when we see the film. The first movie was very much like this and when I went into the theater I knew very little about the storyline and I was fully blown away.
its just the teaser they're going to show way more in the official trailer
@@wolfdeathseal5624 not way more but very little more
That’s how I feel. I love this trailer it’s beautiful.
I believe the initial trailers that came out for it did not reveal near as much but I could be wrong. Either way I didn't see very many trailers for it and I definitely recommend if you really want to enjoy a movie don't watch too much about it.
I wish they had used this style of music for the soundtrack instead. I think it adds much more depth and meaning to the scenes and the world behind them.
agreed. Most of the OST felt like it was paying tribute to James Horner. I hope A3 has the same uniqueness A1 did.
If you haven't really, I definitely recommend seeing it more than once. I was very disappointed with the score my first viewing but I tired to be more open in my second viewing. I made a few discoveries. 1- Neytiri's song is sprinkled throughout the entire score
2-The mood of the music is somewhat different for woods scenes vs water scenes.
Oh is that the tech, Cameron had been waiting on?
You must be on hard drugs. There's absolutely nothing different in this trailer in terms of quality. Why people always do this kind of shameless simp? Watch the trailer of the first avatar and then watch this one, there's not a single thing that was improved. I can easily point out hundreds of better animations in the market nowadays, any random fanmade unreal 5 animation is SIGNIFICANTLY/IMCOMPARABLY better than this garbage.
are you sure that's what they did? it doesnt really seem like it on the shot if her swimming in that one scene where she smiles
