The fact that they included Chadwick's death in the story, and made it a core part of the drama, is a great way for the writers to connect the audience with the movie. We all grief Chadwick, and we are going to see how other people deal with this grief. Hope the move is as majestic as the music from the trailer.
I was wondering how they would match the emotion of the first one. I thought the three scenes in the ancestral plane defined the first movie both story-wise and emotionally. The death of the Black Panther will allow them to match that.

This is such a good trailer, even 2 years after the release of the movie, I'm still watching this. The blending of those two tracks and the way it ramps up is just perfect.
I went to Howard University and ran across Chad Boseman a few times in 1996. He was a super good dude. He had a great spirit and was very humble. It was great to see him take off and become a success in Hollywood. I think only today it hit me that he is gone. I feel bad for his wife and loved ones. I pray that they have found some amount of piece and serenity. 43 is way too young. Chad Boseman FOREVER!!!!
Thank you for this nice anecdote. I didn't even know Chadwick but 2 years later and i'm still sad about his death. He did his part on Earth in a short amount of time and shot this iconic movie (and many amazing others) while being severely ill...what a strong man...so inspiring

This movie hits harder when you’ve had someone in your family pass away from cancer. My dad passed away last year December 21st. At the beginning credits with Chadwick, it was already over for me. I could barely focus the rest of the movie. Simple things like that really make a difference in a movie so for anyone who lost someone just be ready. The movie is a pure example of fighting for the ones you love and overcoming plenty of emotions and obstacles.
Glad someone could relate with me on that. The movie was very enjoyable but also hard for my heart to watch. My dad passed on the 10th of November 3 years ago from heart complications.❤

Losing a loved one is something that we never think about until it happens and honestly, sometimes it's something that we take for granted until the realization that they're no longer a physical presence hits us like a freight train.
The music choice on this is so beautiful. The loss of Chadwick Boseman is really felt and acknowledged. I'm glad they're continuing this story with that in mind. Lots of tears shed from this trailer alone.
Indeed. It took me a second to figure out why, but this trailer made me cry for one reason: Angela Bassett. Full credit to her, I look forward to seeing this movie cause she brought it in the trailer, and showed her acting chops. I say that cause, in my opinion its hard for african american actors to replicate african accents believably, but the way she said "family" I have a nigerian mom who emigrated to the US, raised 3 kids, went to college, became a nurse, but she gave everything for her family, and it hit me right in my heart.

Honestly, this should just be the trailer. It shows just enough to know what we're in for, doesn't spoil the action scenes, and gets us pumped to see it. This teaser was epic. They shouldn’t even do another trailer.

My lil brother was in the ICU during the time and I went to go see this in theaters and this movie really got me good! Few weeks later he passed, and everytime i see this movie i think of him. Stay humble, good sir, and keep living for them. 🙌

This trailer still hits hard. It came out about a year ago when I lost my aunt. She was one of the most important people in my life and she died from breast cancer. The fourth and final time I saw this in theaters I was in the back row and when Shuri finally let herself grieve her brother I was right there with her. I was losing it before the end credits.

Nah, Chadwick wouldna wanted them to kill of T'Challa because he was gone. Watch any interview with the dude and you can plainly see it. He understood the character, what he represented was bigger than himself. They may think they are honoring Chadwick with this, but this is for themselves and I get it. The rest of the world lost a hero, they lost a friend/family. They were too close to this to make the right decision.

This trailer is magnificent - as is the film. Such a feat by Ryan Coogler and the entire team. Felt so many things watching this - the way grief can completely overwhelm a person, the way it can drive you to mindless rage, and the way you can eventually find a way to move past grief to healing and rebirth. This is the best picture of 2022. And you can't convince me otherwise.
That "everything's gonna be alright" build up will hit anyone with the feels for reasons even beyond this movie because any normal person is struggling through loss, health decline, financial problems or relationship issues.

The trembling and the intensity in the voice of Ramonda is heartbreaking. We can feel the sadness and pain she is going through but hide it to hype her sholders up.
And the music choice was excellent too. Like on the screen, the track starts out a bit sad... yet sedate and hopeful. Then there's a growing sense of menace and alarm. 'Everything's gonna be all right' is repeated louder and louder as it echoes and overlaps chaotically... a desperate mantra no one's believing as they say it.

The line delivery in this scene is amazing at 1:20 . You can hear the pain in Ramonda’s voice after she lost T'Challa and T'Chaka. And No Woman No Cry and Alright building up helps make this scene better
I think that scene takes place right after thanos snapped half of the universe away because shuri's actress says that she was snapped along with her brother and shuri was noticably absent during that scene

what adversity? they are a country that has the most valuable material in the world and is more advanced and prosperous then any other nation. They are literally the 1% and are surrounded by poor nations they do nothing to help just blame 'colonizers'(even though they would have been more then strong enough to stop any colonization). Even though it's just a trailer, I can feel the Queen's anguish. It is so hard to get through the pain of loss especially when you are not supposed to be the last one standing. At some point in our lives we will feel what she feels. And that picture of Chad at 1:29 is just so chilling that it shook the apathy right out of me. No movie is perfect, but this trailer was. Wakanda Forever!
Ryan Coogler’s vision is seriously like no other. He clearly knows how to handle the atmosphere, the tension, the grounded emotions of his movies that makes him a powerhouse filmmaker. I would not be surprised if he directs Secret Wars. And I hope he does.
He's a great filmmaker, but post-production really hurt the first BP, with poor CGI and color grading. The trailer for the first one looked spectacular too, so I'm really concerned at what will happen to this one, especially since we know now how awful conditions are for VFX workers.
In just 2 minutes, I feel like I've just gone through every emotion. One of them movies where it's not just gonna be simply for our entertainment. But most of all... It's for Him...
I know they'll honour him throughout the movie but when they have a moment, whether before or during the credits with: "For Chadwick"; I am going to lose it. 😭♥️

I think that Hispanic and African cultures have similarities. However, this is wakanda, which is based in Africa. I would assume they're mostly taking from african cultures. I just wanna say if I offended anyone, I am sorry. I had no idea who those people were until I watched the trailer again and saw that they were Atlanteans and then the outfits they were wearing.

This is probably one of the most emotional cinematic presentations I've ever experienced. The fact that Chadwick is no longer with us and we're witnessing a true-life memorial, is just so powerful. Rest in peace Black Panther; safe travels to the ancestral plane.
Is it just me or do you wish the trailer music was used in the actual film/show? I remember the moon knight trailer sounded awesome but they never used it in the show, and I think if they did it would be awesome.
This is not only the best MCU trailer, this is one of the best trailers OF ALL TIME. I am not kidding, I always getting goosebumps after every rewatch. The temp is perfect, montage is ideal, mix of two different compositions is truly organic, visual storytelling also so amazing, even in the moment when Angela Basset starts to talking it’s just emotionally strong. And, of course, tribute to Black Panther and personally to Chadwick Boseman tears me apart. After the first watching of this trailer I said “shut up and take my money” and went in the nearest IMAX big screen

I just love how the trailer starts all calm and then it starts to pick up on the action, not to mention how it starts to get into an agony depression tone with the song saying “everything is gonna be alright” over and over again. As if it’s saying that no matter what will happen in the movie despite all the chaos that was going on, and Chadwick no longer being with us, it’s all gonna be alright Edit: this movie was a cinematic masterpiece. Lot of emotions from start to finish. Amazing tribute to Chadwick, shed multiple tears during this.

The fact that they included Chadwick's death in the story, and made it a core part of the drama, is a great way for the writers to connect the audience with the movie. We all grief Chadwick, and we are going to see how other people deal with this grief. Hope the move is as majestic as the music from the trailer.
I was wondering how they would match the emotion of the first one. I thought the three scenes in the ancestral plane defined the first movie both story-wise and emotionally. The death of the Black Panther will allow them to match that.
This will be the most unique mcu film yet due to the hero passing.
They didn't have a choice, they couldn't ignore the fact that the titular character isn't there.

I went to Howard University and ran across Chad Boseman a few times in 1996. He was a super good dude. He had a great spirit and was very humble. It was great to see him take off and become a success in Hollywood. I think only today it hit me that he is gone. I feel bad for his wife and loved ones. I pray that they have found some amount of piece and serenity. 43 is way too young. Chad Boseman FOREVER!!!!

Thank you for this nice anecdote. I didn't even know Chadwick but 2 years later and i'm still sad about his death. He did his part on Earth in a short amount of time and shot this iconic movie (and many amazing others) while being severely ill...what a strong man...so inspiring

This movie hits harder when you’ve had someone in your family pass away from cancer. My dad passed away last year December 21st. At the beginning credits with Chadwick, it was already over for me. I could barely focus the rest of the movie. Simple things like that really make a difference in a movie so for anyone who lost someone just be ready. The movie is a pure example of fighting for the ones you love and overcoming plenty of emotions and obstacles.
Glad someone could relate with me on that. The movie was very enjoyable but also hard for my heart to watch. My dad passed on the 10th of November 3 years ago from heart complications.❤

Full credit to her, I look forward to seeing this movie cause she brought it in the trailer, and showed her acting chops. I say that cause, in my opinion its hard for african american actors to replicate african accents believably, but the way she said "family" I have a nigerian mom who emigrated to the US, raised 3 kids, went to college, became a nurse, but she gave everything for her family, and it hit me right in my heart.

The point I'm trying to make is that the fans are wanting a movie that gives them what they want, in this case a truly riveting story that pays true honor to the late Chadwick Boseman, they don't want some movie that feels like they're just doing it for the sake of money. This trailer still hits hard. It came out about a year ago when I lost my aunt. She was one of the most important people in my life and she died from breast cancer. The fourth and final time I saw this in theaters I was in the back row and when Shuri finally let herself grieve her brother I was right there with her. I was losing it before the end credits.

Nah, Chadwick wouldna wanted them to kill of T'Challa because he was gone. Watch any interview with the dude and you can plainly see it. He understood the character, what he represented was bigger than himself. They may think they are honoring Chadwick with this, but this is for themselves and I get it. The rest of the world lost a hero, they lost a friend/family. They were too close to this to make the right decision.

@@WhxFN so because the actor who played him, chadwick boseman, passed away, he left an amazing legacy and because of that marvel doesn’t just wanna recast the character chadwick played, which was King T’Challa. instead they’re going to pass on the black panther mantle to another person. idk if you remember but in captain america civil war, t’challas dad, who’s name was king t’chaka, got killed and that’s why the black panther we know and love became black panther. because he was the son of the king. now that chadwick passed away, they don’t wanna recast that exact character, they wanna give the mantle to someone else. that someone else will probably be shuri, t’challas sister or someone else. i think it’s going to be that one guy in the other wakandan clan. i forgot his name but i hope this helps.

This trailer is magnificent - as is the film. Such a feat by Ryan Coogler and the entire team. Felt so many things watching this - the way grief can completely overwhelm a person, the way it can drive you to mindless rage, and the way you can eventually find a way to move past grief to healing and rebirth. This is the best picture of 2022. And you can't convince me otherwise.

The trembling and the intensity in the voice of Ramonda is heartbreaking. We can feel the sadness and pain she is going through but hide it to hype her sholders up.
And the music choice was excellent too. Like on the screen, the track starts out a bit sad... yet sedate and hopeful. Then there's a growing sense of menace and alarm. 'Everything's gonna be all right' is repeated louder and louder as it echoes and overlaps chaotically... a desperate mantra no one's believing as they say it.

The line delivery in this scene is amazing at 1:20 . You can hear the pain in Ramonda’s voice after she lost T'Challa and T'Chaka. And No Woman No Cry and Alright building up helps make this scene better
I think that scene takes place right after thanos snapped half of the universe away because shuri's actress says that she was snapped along with her brother and shuri was noticably absent during that scene

Even though it's just a trailer, I can feel the Queen's anguish. It is so hard to get through the pain of loss especially when you are not supposed to be the last one standing. At some point in our lives we will feel what she feels. And that picture of Chad at 1:29 is just so chilling that it shook the apathy right out of me. No movie is perfect, but this trailer was. Wakanda Forever!

Ryan Coogler’s vision is seriously like no other. He clearly knows how to handle the atmosphere, the tension, the grounded emotions of his movies that makes him a powerhouse filmmaker. I would not be surprised if he directs Secret Wars. And I hope he does.

He's a great filmmaker, but post-production really hurt the first BP, with poor CGI and color grading. The trailer for the first one looked spectacular too, so I'm really concerned at what will happen to this one, especially since we know now how awful conditions are for VFX workers.

This is probably one of the most emotional cinematic presentations I've ever experienced. The fact that Chadwick is no longer with us and we're witnessing a true-life memorial, is just so powerful. Rest in peace Black Panther; safe travels to the ancestral plane.

This is not only the best MCU trailer, this is one of the best trailers OF ALL TIME. I am not kidding, I always getting goosebumps after every rewatch. The temp is perfect, montage is ideal, mix of two different compositions is truly organic, visual storytelling also so amazing, even in the moment when Angela Basset starts to talking it’s just emotionally strong. And, of course, tribute to Black Panther and personally to Chadwick Boseman tears me apart. After the first watching of this trailer I said “shut up and take my money” and went in the nearest IMAX big screen

I just love how the trailer starts all calm and then it starts to pick up on the action, not to mention how it starts to get into an agony depression tone with the song saying “everything is gonna be alright” over and over again. As if it’s saying that no matter what will happen in the movie despite all the chaos that was going on, and Chadwick no longer being with us, it’s all gonna be alright
Edit: this movie was a cinematic masterpiece. Lot of emotions from start to finish. Amazing tribute to Chadwick, shed multiple tears during this.
