Thank you for this video. I really like the format because 1. you tell us that it only works with only action verbs (a lot of teachers just give the form or say verb stem without specifying what kind of verb even if it’s obvious like in this case) 2. You let us know abbreviated forms like how you can drop 하다 in this case. 3. You paired similar forms together so we can compare how they’re different and their nuances.
I like the specificity and detail of the video yet it’s short and to the point.
You're the bestttt teacher!!!!!!! 💗
Thank you that was super helpful!
Thank you so much I love love love your videos
감사합니다 선생님! 저는 과테말라 사람이에요 🇬🇹😉
Thank you so much for making these videos! They're so helpful!! :D
진짜 감사해요 선생님 ☺️
thanks a lot, its so helpful...i have also difficulties with ~려고 하다 and ~아/어 보다...now i can clearly picture out..although both are mostly translated " going to" in english
Thanks for the video!!
보다 verb has many meanings it's really confusing i see it almost everywhere with different grammar and till now i couldn't find a lesson that can help me to get them all
Will you be doing a lesson on Imperative mood? Thanks for the videos!
Thank you!!!
i'm a bit confused on the form 볼래 as in '이거 먹어볼래?', do you have a video on this? thank you so much
I am doing my best to take the Korean test topic so I am watching all of your grammar videos and it's so helpful but I was asking if I finished all your grammar lessons then which level in the topic would i get ?
좀 물어보는 게가 있는데요. 한 TV프로가 보고있었는데 (인간의 조건),좀 이해하는 게 어려운 자막이 나왔어요. " 다들 일어났을 시간" which was translated as "The time when everyone else is awake". 그 뜻 잘 이해할 수 있지만 무슨 문법 쓰는지 잘 모르겠어요. Can you please tell me what grammar point this sentence uses?
it is good video.^^
hey billy have u done a lesson on ~채로 yet?
Is 려고 a contraction of some kind? I've also seen ~~려는 목적으로
Thank you for your helpful video ❤️
But I find it difficult to catch up with your lessons :( I'm new to Korean and I have to stop the video all the time to find the word that you're teaching (for example the word "try to" and "intend to" in this video), I think it'd be better if you can hightlight, underline or do something with the word to pop it up.
I love your videos
Keep up with the good work!
P.s sorry for my bad English :(
If that's the case, I think this lesson might be a bit above your level. You might be stressing yourself unnecessarily :-) Do you have a curriculum you're following for learning Korean? For example, are you using a specific web site's curriculum, or a specific book, or program (etc.)?
can I combine the 보다 form with 아무리? For example 아무리 자봐도 못 잤어요
You could combine it, if there is a need to combine it. 하다 -> 해 봐도, etc.
May I ask what is -는게 and -는대?
~는 게 when attached to a verb stem is the same thing as ~는 것이. ~는데 when attached to a verb stem is used for a few purposes. I made a video about it on my channel that gives a quick introduction to it.
+Learn Korean with GO! Billy Korean Can you send me a link to that video? And also, do you have a video for -는지?
Matthew Reyes You can find it by searching "Nominalization" on my channel. It's in the "Learn Korean" series. I also made a video about some aspects of ~는지, which is "Learn Korean Ep. 13."
So it could also be like
숙제를 공부해 봤어요. I'm going/ I intend to do homework (no matter how it will turn out).
숙제를 공부해 볼게요 I'm going/I intend to do homework (and see how it will turn out).
Sorry If I misunderstood lol (happens to me a lot). Also thank you Billy for these videos, they are really helpful!
Not quite for ~게(요). I have a video that explains that form here: ruclips.net/video/sURzQfmZHP0/видео.html
I'll watch this. thank you! so I'd need to use 볼 거예요 to be my statement correct?@@GoBillyKorean
@@10p7 Check out the video since there are multiple ways to say that same thing :)
@@GoBillyKorean will do! ^^
Sorry for spamming questions :D
발음 진짜 그냥 한국인..;;;your diction is just korean people😵
so can this translate at "plan to"??
No, "plan to" is a different form.
ㄹ/을 거다 = ㄹ/을 것이다
complicated :/
'i am intending to do my hw'k is a strange use of english.
Yes, that's because this form doesn't translate nicely into English, without losing its meaning completely. As long as the learner understands that it literally means "intending," they're free to translate it more naturally. Probably the most natural way it translates to English is just "I'm going to...."
I'm learning Korean only for ♥️North Korea♥️anyone else who is also learning Korean for ✨KimJongUn✨
