I had an old commercial grade Toshiba laptop running Win 10 (with tons of life left) that I was using as a spare. I upgraded to Win 11 following these instructions and it worked flawlessly. Another piece of potential e-waste saved from the environment. Many thanks!!
Thank you for this video. I updated to windows 11 23H2 on 03/06/24 and after the update there was no setup screen. It started normally. Is that alright?
Wet through process and it successfully installed win 11 and all my settings and files. HOWEVER, I have not been able to update. Tried forcing it but It did nothing. Shows 4 major updates ready to install or download but they do not install or update. Please HELP before I have to roll bacck to WIN 10
Check your system info and confirm that your windows is activated. Unactivated Windows are not allowed for important updates, and latest, they start to block you from changing settings in your task bar.

I managed to install Windows 11 on a Compaq Presario CQ61 since 27th of September last year.

I copied the Windows 10 iso to my Windows 11 usb and it worked with the Windows 11 install.

Does it affect the performance of the pc?Or it will run the same as Windows 10?
For the most part the performance will be the same, but if you're a gamer, I suggest you stay on Windows 10. For me, Windows 10 is better for gaming.
if I update from windows 10 to windows 11 will all my data and files wipe out and clean every thing ??
As long as you have the option to keep all files and apps selected during the setup you won't lose anything.

It will receive updates as normal. But you won't be able to join the insider program on an unsupported device.
