Do you have a chartreuse shad color
Just wondering what mold is the grass grenade I looked it up and couldn’t find it
@@Pharretman149 i think its like little stinger or something from angling ai
@@aaronschellenberg1177 ok thx
Have you ever used glow powder in your plastic? Maybe a trick worm with the end of the tail that glows and normal colors up the body? Could be pretty sweet
I don't think everyone understands just how mind-blowingly valuable this video is to the hand pourer. I never thought you'd reveal your secret haha! Thanks, Chris!
Haha this ain't the layer blending secret...this is how to make better baits
Thank you so much for this video! It's definitely going to save me from some headaches 😅
How long do you normally let the molds cool before taking them out of the mold?
Until they are comfortable to touch
As always a job well done, and the info is always greatly appreciated. Im far from being able to do a lot of these baits but i enjoy watching and learning.
Well don't hesitate to try it one day
What do you do to package your swimbaits when you sell them?
I have some of his baits. I want to pass them on to someone who can appreciate them.
how long do you let your baits cool down for?
Is there a way to do this with silicon molds? I struggle with delamination on mine and when
I use a heat gun my glitter sinks. loved the video!
I had my glitter sink on the second layer. I used the aluminum open pour mold. I also noticed the glitter fell to the bottom of my pouring cup. I had to try stirring while pouring. Does anybody have any suggestion on this? Michael, I tried doing two layers with ribbontail worm silicon mold. I did have a batch that they just peeled apart. I did heat mold on griddle at 300° and those turned out a lot better.
@@DelawarePondHoppers Thanks for the info! wasn't sure if you could but the silicon molds on a hot plate or not. I found that swirling the cup after every pour helped with the glitter but cooled the plastic way faster.
@Michael Williams most silicone molds can withstand 395°
Can't wait to get these in the mail. Appreciate all your hard work Chris. Such an amazing inspiration!!!!!!
🙏🙏
Call me... I'm a landscaper. Clarify this with the water 😊... Good practical video
I really like these swimbaits. As I've said in previous comments, You are awesome with your creativity and also your explanations on how to do things really helps. Much Love from Melbourne, Australia ✌❤🇦🇺🐠🐟
🙏👍👍
Once again you really amaze me how how smooth they look. Thanks man you tips and tricks has made my bait making alot more enjoyable
That's my hope
Hey man, does anyone sell like a basic kit of everything you need to get started? It's quiet a lot of stuff really- microwave, Pyrex cup, molds, flake, colorants, heating plate, plastisol, and probably more that I'm missing- or is that it?
Thank you so much,
Beautiful craftsmanship.
how do you minimize bubbles? When I heat my plastisol (Dead On Plastix) it bubbles like crazy
This has probably been asked by now but where do you get the aluminum molds or do you make them and what if you want to do something more of a perch color how would you do that? Thanks.
Awesome! thank you for recommending this video !
Just got to watch the video enjoyed it, Chris.
Do they have big Barney flakes?
LOL
When hand pouring, my flakes always sink at the bottom of the cavity... why that happens?
You should make some Gummy worm baits!! I think that would be cool seeing you pour the different layers of colors the other way!!
Have you put "the blackest black" pigment in plastics yet? I believe there may be a "whitest white" now too...
Those Earth Eyes, where can you get them in bulk so that they are much more affordable? Thanks!
Do you sell your baits? If so I am looking for something like a bass assassin curly tail, albino body, fire tail, I can't find them up here in Ohio.
Do you ever use the hot plate to use for injection shooting you should try that if not keeps the cups hot to keep molding.I learned that from BASSTACKLE guy way he done it when molding baits
duel tail colors on swimbaits? Double and triple glitter mixes in plastics? ideas for future plastics.
Can you please tell me where I can buy the mold , thanks in advance :)
Kind regards Imad
Great video, I have been having problems with all the glitters settling to the bottom of the mold when hand pouring. Do I have the mold to hot or is the plastic to hot. Need your expert advise.
Do you need any special clamps when clamping them on the hot plate? I have 2 blue clamps from Home Depot…
One of your best educational videos ever man thank you for the details !!!! Awesome buddy awesome 👊😎👍🍻
Thank you man this one is a gold mine of info
👍
How can we get a discount code to buy some of these goodys from Angling AI
Question since I'm just starting the open pour world do the clamps start to melt with all that heat or do they withstand that kind of heat
What I’d I don’t want to make my own...how do I purchase these from you?
I want to know if you can make a jerkbait that works like the bounty fish from jackell japan.
Got myself a mold and some plastic, the wife didn’t mind she actually encouraged me to have fun with it, I may soon add one of this mold to experiment a bit
Absolutely do it!
I love how you stick to one lesson at a time per video which causes less confusion. This episode was strictly a lecture on the importance of heat and it made a lot of sense!
What would happen if you use a little color shift + a lot of glitter
Do you have a triple c block if so where can I get it?
Those dead on flakes would catch fish here.
i will work for you for free if you just teach me your ways!😂
that the only thing i need is allium molds so i can heat them.but my hand pour old school molds is not so i just have to fish them like i have to might be why fish hit them so good they not perfect
How long of a cool down time before you pull them out of the mold?
How do you test the plastic temperature
Would like to seen a closer look at the 2 you over poured the blue on
Nice; thanks for the video!
How do you rig these swimbaits?
EVERY time I'm making baits you upload a video!!! I am using the new angling ai jerkbait molds!
Haha hell yeah
Great vid. My question is how do you get rid of the cold cracks when you only have rubber molds because pre heating is so much harder.
I've preheated my silicon molds on the griddle. Most Silicon has a heat tolerance of like 390. So I just set my griddle to 300. It takes about 20 minutes to preheat them but it works really well. I hit them with a heatgun if they need it but they usually don't. The baits turn out fantastic and I've probably done 30 or 40 rounds with no noticable effect. Just be sure to hit your molds with a silicon conditioner before you store them.
Thanks for the reply have you done any vids on it?
thanks 4 the tips compadre, i´m working on it
This was my problem
That fast forwarding was funny sounded like the little people from Space Balls. But cool video
Haha
You truly are a Picasso!
So i poured my first open pour yesterday. I was trying to remember what all you said and all i could think about was pour cold plastic into a hot mold. Well i did just that but i think my griddle was too hot because all the glitter sank to the bottom lol.
Yep that can happen
Unfortunately I can't run my griddle and microwave at the same time or I blow my breakers #oldhouseproblems
That would definitely make things difficult
Gift for me😍😍😍👍
Very nice 😊
How long between pours so they don’t mix
You answered my question
I have been wondering how to keep the head section pour from drifting toward the tail.
Then,. Duh you put a mold under the griddle to angle it up. Why didn't I just think of that.
Thanks for the info.
Also, did I miss what the mix of the final pour was. Is that watermelon??
Thanks Chris
Just started getting into bait making im about an 2 hours down the road from you in Crestview.
Nice!!!
Beautiful work
My first attempt pouring the AI 5in SEATS. They turned out beautiful laminates. Ruined them with the clear dip. 1 side was cloudy, the other was clear
Do you plan on doing another colab with Marling Baits? The frog was pretty awesome.
Wow good job
This helped massively when I watched it for the first time a few months ago. I have the angling AI 4" open pour swimbait, and the open pour 5" jerkbait. My lures have been coming out better every time.
I was wondering which craw mold u think is best. The ecto craw or punch bug. Also great video!
Chris, using the new AI open pour mold, I keep running into a up bleed from the belly up into the upper colors. Running my temps at the 350 plus or minus 3 deg. Any ideas
This is a video you might want to touch on every year. I only have a few open pour molds, and I get impatient trying to get another batch out quickly.
Wow!!! I needed that video. Im about half-way there learning this process and you just saved me time and money in plastic to finally learn the "heating game!!!" Thank you
Went fishing with a friend and he says "you spend same amount of time fishing as looking at your baits? They catch fish!" I replied you won't understand.
Hey Chris, do you level your griddle or is the built in slope of the griddle so small that it doesn’t effect the pour?
B-e-a-utiful bluegill swim bait. I think I’ve found yet another retirement hobby. What molds do you recommend? Thanks!
Angling Ai molds
Thanks!
Looks great. I think the pearl belly would look great with addition of the hint of lavender hypershift tint.
Very useful video!
Thanks man!
To pretty to fish!! Great job!
🙏🙏
Nice job Chris. Appreciate all the tips about temperature management
Sweet bluegill pattern good luck with the storm I just got my first colors and glitter and plastic from dead on in a few silicon molds and I been learning from the best enjoy the videos I learn some new on poring baits every time I watch thanks again can't wait until the next video
I pour a layer, let it set, pour another layer, let it set and then top it off. Afterwards I'll bake it at 350 degree. When the plastisol levels out on top, shut off the oven and let it cool down.
You can do things wayyyy more efficient than that .. but don't fix what isn't broken I guess
@@WorldsWorstFishing Yeah, I've watched your previous videos on this subject. I tried it too but it takes a lot longer for me because I'm constantly checking the mold making sure the plastic is at the right viscosity before pouring the next layer. So, I tried this version and it works the same. Just that I don't have to watch and wait for the right temp to pour.. I guess it's faster for me....Mainly because I use to pour 100 molds at a time... haha.
Great video and information
Thanks 👍
Took many notes! Great information! Thank you!!
As always those are killers , thanks for the in depth lesson
I would like to see you make redeye shad swim baits
Great video. Very informative!
These look incredible!! Nice work!!
Please add a link for your hot plate and clamps. Mostly the clamps.
Awesome tutorial and great info, thanks for making the videos and sharing.
I found it on Amazon for $49.00. I think the brand is Presto...
Great looking bait! Great video
I'll be looking out for these on IG.
I hope Fred is good to you. Be safe!
Banger alert
This one is very educational
Thanks good stuff..was you using craw tube or swim bait plastic??
Tube
Oh! Is that t shirt for sale somewhere or is it a custom just for you?
It's on my teespring link in the description
@@WorldsWorstFishing right on!
Very cool bait! BEAUTIFULLY done! 👍❤
🙏🙏🙏
Just wanted to drop a comment, I won't be able to watch this video for a couple of hours but I know it will be impressive. All your work is amazing in my opinion..
Thanks brian, this one is extremely educational so I hope you will enjoy it
what do you do when you over pour a mold
Just clean up the edges with your thumb
thanks
Sir! As always, everything is beautiful!
🙏
Are you heating your plastic to a lower temp than what a typical injection would be? BTW awesome vis thanks
No, generally I pour at a higher temperature than I like to inject
@@WorldsWorstFishing Ok, do you slowly decrease the temps as you progress thru the layers. Or slowly let the first layer cool a bit before doing the next one
@@DeeDee-vu5mi it's all about timing, the molds are preheated very hot and I let the layers set up slightly before pouring the next
@@WorldsWorstFishing Thanks so much for your info.
Hey Chris just ordered a new senko mold and I’m so excited love the Channel and have a great day
Thank you so much
