Great video Franco, lots of good tips - I especially like the rice trick!
Would definitely want to see a pro-tips video which collects all that important nerdy stuff in one place!!
I used to cast a lot of lead in plaster molds and used marbles to make my alignment divots. Not so important for silicone but made aligning to mold halfs very positive and easy. Might try plaster molds for casting resin, they take details well and are quick, easy and cheap to make.
    Cheers!

I like the tank test, but would enjoy a video using both salt water and freshwater in the tank to show us viewers the difference in buoyancy. Cause every time you drop a lure in the fresh water tank that is designed for salt water and it crashes to the bottom, I’m thinking no way in hell is this going to work as advertised...
I totally geek out on the science and math approach you use to make your lures. It is perhaps the single most reason I follow your channel. Please do the other video you suggested on figuring mass and buoyancy. But do two identical lures, one for saltwater and one for freshwater. I really think that approach would hit home more for your viewers. Since the only saltwater I ever see is when I have a sore throat and gargle with the darn stuff.
    Big fan from Edgewood, Illinois.

great as everytime. i just would try to get it level during the sinking, with enough weight you get a nice flutteraction, that slows down the sinking and catches without doing anthing. than you could try to place one weight in the center or two at the ends,to find out what action fits better to the lure, the fisches or your fischingstyle. or get one lure for different uses. i would love to play with it, but no fish for that stile and size of lure arround here

If you want to make silicon mold for 20 cm needle lure, which in front is diameter arround 7mm,and at the back is diameter around 20mm, how would you make hole for casting,at the thicker,or thinner part, and would You maybe make 2 holes for pouring cast material, one at the front first third of lure lenght, and other at the back third of the lure lenght. And where You think is the best to position holes for ventilating air inside mold to avoid bubles.Would You tilt master lure at 140,150, or 160 degrees in mold or make it horizontaly at 180 degrees( no tilt at all).I am asking this because to avoid bubles, and to achieve better cast,to fill the hole casting cavity perfect. Keep up the good work.

When you calculate your density and get the weight for what you need to get it to sink. What water temps do you go off of? In 37 degree water a lure will sink differently then 80 degree water.

Yes, especially if you're copying a commercial lure. Commercial lures have thicker and tougher bibs and can be molded from resin to problem. If you're making your own lures you need to use a slightly thicker bib.
