Yeah and it’s odd because I’m the “smart kid” yet I have no self confidence and never get to sleep before 2am-
I was basically the smart and depressed kid in middle school. I wish someone had given me a hug then as those were awful times in my life, idk what it was about not being in elementary but not in high school yet that made it such a perfect environment for such sadness. Some memories from middle school were amazing and I'd never take them back but some parts of it were so dark and sad I'd never wish them upon anyone.

My family is less that strict. If I get a 70 or 80 less, they'll lecture me. I'm smart but that doesn't mean I love being smart, it's because my parents forced me to study harder when I was 6. It's because my Mother is a Valedictorian and my Father is an Expert of Computer
For the depression part, it hits me a lot because when I was in school when we came back after Covid I started to feel terrible about myself and think I would never accomplish stuff. The worst part is, I never really had anyone to hug me in that way so if you ever see someone who is feeling a sort of way. Just give them a hug like it will make their day a lot better

I was homeschooled for 3 years in a row then went back in 8th grade to the public school and it was amazing I loved it. then rona came around and the year got cut short in march. freshman year came around and I was doing my school's online program because my mom wont let me wear a mask. I'm in band so I got to see friends at practices. after 9 weeks my mom made me switch to a separate homeschooling program because it just wasn't working out. i really need to be in an actual classroom. anyways that lead to me being kicked out out band by the principal because I'm not actually going to the school. i went to band in middle school even though i was homeschooled but because its an extra curricular and in high school its a little different cause they actually give you a grade or something idk exactly how it works but yeah so they get to choose if i can go. so now i barely leave the house or see my friends or anything and my mom isn't making things any better and i can't stand her most of the time. the virus is literally ruining my life, I'm only alive because there's a little bit of hope left inside of me but i don't see any point in living if things don't get better by the time i graduate

My school has these things you put your phone in during school hours so you can't play with it. They're called yondrs and once you get to school you unlock it, put your phone in, and head to class. After school we unlock them and we can use them for the rest of the day

@@lollivee6770 no depression is when you can't even handle it. Plus everything has its intensity. You can be depressed, but not suffering from "clinical depression". Most of the time, it's because of how you think. I had my own, well, bad phase, but now I look back at it and just think that if you can't change anything, you have to give up on everything. That's it.

I was the going through a phase kid as well but I actually had a reason and it was bc I was a cool kid and the principal hated me so he set me up and I went to Juvi and then I changed throughout middle school and then by high school I became a cool kid/loner at times I have no idea what that’s called but I would steal peoples food on accident but bc they gave it to me I wouldn’t mind.

What about me? A nerd who somehow is popular (I think), who hangs out with a group of friends who are comprised of the full range, and gets good grades effortlessly like the smart kid, but has multiple undiagnosed anxiety disorders, and a strong implication of OCD (the kind that makes you ultra-paranoid.)
