Thank you Ruby 😊. When my daughter was a newborn she couldn't latch on (plus my milk supply was slow to come in, and my doctors told me it wouldn't come in because of prior breast reduction surgery) and my lactation consultant helped me get a breast pump and helped me with pumping. She was so encouraging to me, I felt like a failure because I couldn't get my baby to take my milk directly from my breast. She let me know that just because my baby wasn't on my breast (breastmilk in the bottle), didn't take away from her being a breastfed baby. She told me it was a miracle itself that my milk ducts healed enough for me to even produce milk to feed my baby. I was blessed to be able to pump for 5 straight months and have 7 months of milk for my daughter. Keep up the great work and bless you for donating your liquid gold to babies in need

Thanks for sharing! I was grateful for the donor milk while my baby was in the NICU. Donors are amazing!! All mamas should see a lactation consultant at every stage of the breastfeeding journey. Even if it’s just a follow up, if the consultant is good then it will benefit you.
