Is there some post mixing on your audio?
It makes the RODE branding on the white PSA arm way less obnoxious.
The color white really stand out, thank you for sharing experience
I have the bigger version of this and it is an amazing device. I've also read you can get an xlr to 3.5 jack adapter. This way you can attach any wireless mic setup. It will increase the number of microphones you can use. They'll just be on the same channel.

Can you show us how you’re running the duo into the XLR-k3m? What cable did you use, and what settings did you set on each?

The information shared in this video is very helpful. The audio, however, sounded really thin to me, both on the Podmic and SM7B. In addition, there are lots of little pops all over the place. It definitely didn't help sell the Podmic, but I suspect there was some processing involved.

Shure brings down that mid section and brings a little more base over the top. But they sound pretty much the same...

i am trying to work out if I should get this over my goxlr because its good but not at goxlr levels in software so many features are missing like multiple software channels in obs to control music, chat, game sound, etc. can't setup profiles for specific configurations for say VR, Console gaming or PC gaming. I want to pull the trigger but I am going to still need my goxlr for alot of things this thing can't do.
The full size version seems a more intuitive choice. The MICs in are not just XLR, you can literally bring any AUX in the mix , the flexibility and the future proofing are just neat
Also more expensive choice with not so many benefits over the duo

do you know if you can have the sound effect play through the microphone? i know with the goxlr you could route sounds through the microphone.
Planning to get this for my Fifine AM8.. I hate the Voicemeeter so much because of the latency... I'm investing in this fk it haha
I strongly suggest you take a little more time to figure out appropriate levels of compression. You processed signal sounds ... okay. At least it would if the compressor would stop pumping. Just dial it back a little. =)

I do think the Sm7b sounds better however I do think the rode mic bundle is a super super sleek looking design and isnt a bad purchase by any means both are super popular and both look Great! on camera

Cool!! Thanks for the review and showcasing whats possible :) I want to start teaching yoga classes and workshops online but dont want to use a headset mic or lapel mic (they get in the way). Do u have a suggestion for an overhead/boom mic set up that i can have off camera above me to get good audio no matter which way i am facing from the mic when teaching.
The VideoMic NTG is a great option as it's a shotgun mic that you can use over USB, so you can plug it straight into your computer or phone. You can also plug it into a RØDECaster like the one Nolan is using here!

Amazing Video! Question: Re: Why does it have to be one of the "newer" Rode USB microphones? Would other USB microphones not work with the RodeCaster Duo? Just curious now that you've mentioned it. Also, the white setup looks great! Thank you...
Hey there, thanks for your interest in this awesome feature. This is the first mixer we've heard of that's able be compatible USB mics, and the technology that enables us to do this depends on specific technology which is in the PodMic USB, NT-USB+, NT-USB Mini, VideoMic NTG, VideoMic GO II, XCM-50 and XDM-100. While we'd love to support other mics we create and mics made by other companies, this isn't currently on our firmware roadmap at this stage.
Can we connect on android smartphone directly for live streaming?
Does anyone know if I could use the original version of the Rode Wireless Go as a second mic with this setup?

sm7b does not sound $300 better. Rode podmic is very underrated at $99. Great video as always

99% of you will never know how to use the Aphex exciter/big bottom circuitry that’s built into that thing. It takes easily a year of eqing voice for broadcast before you’ll have any idea what you’re doing.

sm7b much better worth the money - much more depth to the sound. But if you're just starting off, then it's ok.
What?!?! Tons of people have compared the two and the sound is so damn similar it's insane to spend 4x the money.
Hardly a difference to warrant that much more money
The value you place will always be subjective - I started off with a HyperX QuadCast (USB) in 2019. I kept on buying better, until 2021 with SM7B, because I was never quite satisfied. You must stop when you’re satisfied.
@@Davetron35 the thing is... with this mixer using a built in preset you can have them both side by side and you can't hear a difference between the two. Ppl get the sm7b just for the name to say they have it.
Never heard of the sm7b until virtually every youtuber I've followed started using it - became the gold standard for me at the time, from reviews. If you can't tell the difference, get the cheaper one.

So this channel keeps show up for me so i decided to watch this video in the hopes someone would point out what am about to say, spoiler they did not : RODE keeps showing they are out of touch when it comes to content creators smh. 90% of their products are for companies or film makers etc... who have money from stuff thats paid events etc... not making videos on RUclips. Most creators are new or small to the point they are not making money from it but still need gear for how much this cost you could get just about everything you need for a talking head video minus a camera (but maybe a ok webcam) smh again so out of touch and not saying anything about this in a product review shows and says alot about the professionalism and honesty of this channel never watching another video and wish I never did

does this work on mac? one problem i have with GOXLR is there is no MAC software which baffles me. i know you showcased your mac os in the background but you never touched on that nor does it say it in the description on the webpage
Yes it does. I have the bigger version and duel run USB-1 to my Mac and USB-2 to my PC.
