My first road bike was Allez 2015 with rim brakes and now my son rides it. With some upgrades on tires and wheels, Allez's ride feeling never gets obsolete. It's such a lovely entry bike and now it's got even better with many improvements.

My first road bike was also 2015 Alley. Always a great ride though I’ve discovered since that I had a size too large. It’s now used on my Drivo Elite so I’m still enjoying it immensely.

I still have my 2011 specialized Allez 8 speed. I have a lot of upgrades on that bike like carbon fiber handle bar and stem, R2000 Claris rear derailleurs, brifters and calipers, 105 front derailleur, Selle Italia saddle, SRAM cranks and 3 rim brake wheelsets.

Hello James, can you pick one compared to Trek domane AL4? Which is a more durable build? Which one would be your pick

I fail to understand how that seatstay bridge allows higher tire clearance vs regular one, it is actually less clearance due to increased angling on the right side. Just a fashion thing, nothing else. Great review btw !

    Mechanical or hydraulic brakes?

I hope there’s a trade in program for bikes 😅

Am I wrong or is that bike a bit heavy. If I recall correctly my 2020 Allez E5 Sport came in at under twenty pounds...

is it 56 cm size? Your bike is 26mm tires rim brakes (?) 9 speed vs 30mm 10 speed disk. Remove pedals, put rim, smaller tires, maybe smaller size, will be same or lighter

As an Allez owner, I felt a little disrespected seeing a bell on this bike 😢. Fling that bell & reflectors, change wheels and good to go 👍🏽

Bell is actually useful, if you commute. But are you ok with the dork disc?😂

10•7 with pedals ,,,,in 2003 this bike weighed 9•8 with pedals but with no disc brakes

    23.88 pounds ?
That's not bad at all especially with paddles, and toe clips/straps.

22.8 without the pedals but for $1800 I expect a lot closer to 20 if not sub 20. The 2014 Felt (I believe it was a Z5) was $1600 and weight 18 pounds. The 2020 Motobecane Whipshot 853 was under 22 with 35C tires.

@@MikePlagge I got the last ever rm brake bike Specialized made, the Allez Elite 11spd Sram Rival size 49. The only thing carbon on my bike is the fork. Ugraded to Spynergy Wheels and run 23c tires. Weighs 18lbs. price was $1700

This video didn’t exactly include an “unboxing” portion. Which is why I came in the first place

A review that doesn't include the most important thing (riding) is not a review. What matters is how a bike rides. The rest is secundary.
