Bald's Spanish has come a long way from when he was walking the streets of La Paz unable to understand when the locals told him he was in mortal danger
This man is something else. The amount of courage it takes to travel on foot from Venezuela to Tijuana as a foreigner and to try to relate to the local people, is truly something special. What a boss
That Babushka part was really heart-warming. Old people rarely come across such nice younger strangers. Thank you for making her feel good about her day.
The fact that he learned enough to get by with locals makes this 10x better and brings a more human aspect into the video instead of a foreigner looking at a culture/people from a outside perspective
Going on local buses, hanging out with local people, being on the ground. This is so much better than most other vloggers that are flying first class and staying at 5 star hotels. This trip (so far) reminds me about Bald's travels in India, staying in dodgy hotels in the poor parts of town and talking to people fighting daily to survive. I love that mr Bald is connecting with the lower rungs of society and gives them a voice.

Your ability to connect with people using the local languages is so much fun to watch. I cannot wait to see the rest of the series. Please be safe, and good luck!

I've been watching all kinds of travel channels on RUclips and yours is, by far, the best. Your humor and your ability to adapt to any environment is pretty awesome to watch. I've spent countless hours watching these videos. I will continue to do so in the near and distant future. Provided you're still at it.
I have benn following Ben for a long time and always watched his videos with a smile....but I have to admit that I started watching the video with a sense of discomfort for him and the peculiar journey he decided to take...then I saw he joined a companion during the trip and I felt relieved for him. By the way this man has balls of steel. Congrats to him!
it amazes me your ability to adapt to the language while managing your youtube, your travels, and your own personal life all at the same time learning more than 5 languages
Wow, what a video! As an untravelled Englishman I am blown away at just how amazing people are in these places, it's truly humbling. Thank you Ben (and Timmy) you do the world a great service showing us we are one people, these videos are an absolute treasure x
Thank you for getting me through the hardest times of my life September 2021-June 2023. You're the only travel vlogger who I find to be charismatic and genuine, I appreciate you man
The wave of emotions I experienced watching this, first scared you were trying it alone, happy a friend is coming with, scared you were gonna get robbed, happy you didn't. Dang you stress me out! You're posting it though so you must be okay thus far! Also I love "Timmy" so much better than your past cohorts. He doesn't seem as unhappy and whiney. You two should link up more!
The little elderly lady in the coffee shop reminded me of my Abuela made me tear up a little she was a feisty Puerto Rican lady with a really funny sense of humor but you didn't want to get on her bad side she would fling her slippers at you or chase you with a broom😅 miss her a lot
What a series this is going to be. First episode is already insane to think of the journey these guys have to make. Have been looking at Google Maps for the towns you guys are getting to and from. Also really like Timmy - He's so much more enthusiastic and also more willing to eat random food, unlike Simon Wilson, and doesn't complain, like Backpacker Ben.
My girlfriend made this journey, and I have many Venezuelan friends. Though I’ll never truly be able to relate, this allows me to take a glimpse into their journey. Amazing series!
Fucking good on you Mr. bald for committing to really learning the Spanish language so you can make epic pieces of content like this! Absolutely legendary! It makes all the difference being able to communicate with locals properly. Can’t wait for more !!

8 mins in and felt the need to already leave a comment. This kind of content is what we love about Ben - it’s creative, out-of-the-box, new, unique, extraordinary and with his approaches to people and his easy-going connections to cultures he is able to provide us with content no where else to find. This is why I love Ben. Thank you so much for these videos. Please keep them going for as long as possible. You have inspired me to travel the world myself and shown me everything is possible
I seem to get surprised everytime bald goes to a foreign country and meets wonderfully friendly and caring people. It seems to me that reading too many news articles or being on the internet for too long leads to a lack of faith in humanity, even though there is war and terror in the world we still manage to stay happy and hopeful in our small communities. I think Bald's videos can be compared to a type of medicine, a medicine that restores the hope for the future and for kindness that many of us in our modern day have lost, a medicine to humble us and prove our preconceived notions wrong and show us how much there is that we, even in the age of information, remain ignorant to. Thank you, Bald!
Wow! I've been following you and watching your videos for ages they are always good but the last few videos are just on another level. It's absolutely incredible to see this heartbreaking journey for a better life... You went through hell to show us what these people go through. Thank you for such an amazing and powerful video.
The only travel vlogger and RUclipsr PERIOD that I click on instantly… this dudes content seems like something you’d watch on tv. Some people can just talk they’re way into life with simple social skills…. I envy that… one day I will travel the world and see these interesting places!!!!
I live in Argentina and my castellano are steadily getting better. but kudos to you for communicating so well, even if you make small mistakes here or there, the people understand. 99% of people I run into here and when I visit neighboring countries are nice people, just interested in a quick chat, a story etc and always willing to help
He's alive!! Holy hell, I was starting to get worried he got caught trying to sneak back into Russia, and they conscripted him into their army as punishment..
Just a bald man from England and a drunk Greek dude going on one of the world’s toughest journeys through South America. This is by no doubt the most interesting, exciting, and craziest video I’ve seen on RUclips.
Please, do what you do mate, because this is incredible content: picture, sound and narrative is Pulitzer Prize quality and I just can't believe that I can enjoy it on my couch. It brings me (and probably millions of folks) a lot of joy to watch your adventures, Baldie.
Glad to see Bald has not lost an inch of his capacity to help us grasp political and social issues through travelling, despite the switch to new language et new continent. Great work on a very necessary topic.
Hola senor Bald ! I just got back from Chiapas and Tapachula city, from all the street we could find so many imigrantes from all latinos countries walking through the streets, rivers and mountaints, who knows maybe for months they have been walking just to escape from the bad life and hoping to find a better place to live, thank you so much for this video ! because you give us some perspective about how difficult their journey is
Unfortunately the generation of today will never know what struggling is, all the while complaining on social media how "hard" life is, on their $1000 phones and a hot meal several times a day with unlimited access to clean water
When I'm anxious, and in a tizz about the world around me, you without fail bring me out of it Mr Bald. Thank you so much for your videos. Too often we become governed by fear and greed. But in reality, strip that away, and we all have the ability to be decent to each other.

Excellent clip as always taking us where no standard tourist wants to film. You show us the backstreets and low life of the real people, the forgotten ones, whilst at the same time bonding with them through your courtesy, respect and great sense of humour. You also show the beauty of nature on your travels which is so special and an eye opener for anyone who has never been to such far off places, and an endless contrast to the extreme conditions of the most vulnerable in society, "los caminantes." This is both educational and entertaining. Thanks for having the balls to do the trip and stay safe. P.S. Bet you shagged the mad ol' lady then piped up wi' the crackhead when you stopped filming! 🤣

9:12 you have no idea how envious I am of your ability to casually approach someone, anyone, and within three or four questions cause them to bare their soul. I’m sure many interviews are duds but what you show us looks like magic.
Being 6ft tall helps. And looking like a hitman.
The legend
Man was getting spoon fed within minutes 😅
I've been watching all kinds of travel channels on RUclips and yours is, by far, the best. Your humor and your ability to adapt to any environment is pretty awesome to watch. I've spent countless hours watching these videos. I will continue to do so in the near and distant future. Provided you're still at it.
My day is automatically 10x better when Ben posts. Very impressive stuff as always. No one does it like Blad does

Mr. Bald thank you for your genuine content! Stay safe in your travels..... here's to many more future videos, cheers! 🍺
You're the only travel vlogger who I find to be charismatic and genuine, I appreciate you man

did you heard about the controversial stuff also was it the pandemic ? did you lose your job ?
Got homeless in July 2021 , find my man here around that time too. Really did helped.
Timmy is pretty epic!
How do you manage to speak the lingo of every country's you visit, that alone is worth 5 star rating, big salute to you, watched at least 25+ vedios
LOL, I like Backpacker Ben's moaning! It's funny!
Yep, best guest so far. Ben, Simon & Johnny combined haven't contributed as much over the years as this bloke has in one video.
Bald's videos are probably the only videos i've never skipped a second through
I had to pull up Google Earth to find the towns and cities they were going through.
@@jimdennis2451i always do that in balds videos because he makes the towns and places just so relatable
Bens way of being natural makes me feel like I'm with them.
Bald knows Russian also very well
No sheets Sherlock
@@hsbrar35 how about his hindi?is it good?
@@ziadelsissy3088Well he's visited India I think so you could watch one of his videos and see ,not sure how far back you'd have to look tho
I remember when he went to Peru and could not communicate lol
If there’s anyone out there who will be ok doing a dangerous journey like this, it’s THIS man!
Yes a bald move and a hairy experience, thats why he got so many fans. He disappears for a while and pop up with more great content 👌
bald has mastered the art of charisma, no matter where he goes he takes control of the situation fast, makes friends using his "bald" charm and then the world is his oyster. you are watching a master of his craft. probably one of the most charasmatic humans ive ever seen.
Absolutely agree!
Indigo traveller is also very good
same
Well said!
Beautifully put. This channel is extremely important in the modern world.
This. The things you see on the news is one thing, but when you meet everyday folks in the real world you'll realize that most of them are allright
it is incredibly charming the way he introduces other creators a couple minutes into the video. i never get tired of him "stumbling upon" friends
Mate, I've been following your adventures for years, this is next level. Best of luck.
I live in Argentina and my castellano are steadily getting better. but kudos to you for communicating so well, even if you make small mistakes here or there, the people understand. 99% of people I run into here and when I visit neighboring countries are nice people, just interested in a quick chat, a story etc and always willing to help
When I was in Ecuador about 5 years ago I met a lot of people who were working there from Venezuela. This problem has been going on a long time.
I don’t know why, but this is my 5th time coming back to this particular series…. It’s so fascinating
He's alive!! Holy hell, I was starting to get worried he got caught trying to sneak back into Russia, and they conscripted him into their army as punishment..
Excellent, real journalism, information, good job Mr. Bald.
They're all getting deported back when Biden is out 😅 we don't want them
he is the reason i have been able to experience so much of the world in such a short amount of time! :) such a great vlogger
It's a DAMN GOOD DAY when Bald uploads. Love your happy can do energy and seeing new places and people.
Only a Bald and Bankrupt video can be 40 minutes long and feel like a 4 minute video. Some great moments and this trip has only just begun!
The Latin America lifestyle and economics are tough to watch, but Bald produces his journey with humility and respect
All of these people coming to America are economic migrants and not refugees
Bro was so tired of Bangladesh he went to fucking Venezuela and is immigrating to Mexico lmao
@@whatisamodel8252going from one place where the water will kill you to another place where you'll just get the runs... he's moving up
Dude this is not representative, bald goes to the harshest places, i mean it's real but far from the average
Thanks! For more awesome adventures!
Glad to see Bald has not lost an inch of his capacity to help us grasp political and social issues through travelling, despite the switch to new language et new continent. Great work on a very necessary topic.
My face breaks into a smile when I see a new Mr Bald upload! The best way to learn culture and geography.
Hola senor Bald ! I just got back from Chiapas and Tapachula city, from all the street we could find so many imigrantes from all latinos countries walking through the streets, rivers and mountaints, who knows maybe for months they have been walking just to escape from the bad life and hoping to find a better place to live, thank you so much for this video ! because you give us some perspective about how difficult their journey is
They're getting deported when Biden is out😅
Timmy's travels have been very entertaining, he's my favorite travel newcomer on YT. To see you doing a collab with him is a awesome!
Did he really just randomly come across him or was it all planned???
@@balabean457 lol i was wondering that too
it's all planned he does it everytime to introduce the people he collabs with@@balabean457
Respect for this people, i cried seeing the children having to go throught this. Be thankful for what you have.
This is next level and greek Timmy seems a positive, funny and fearless dude....I am so looking forward to this....this content makes me smile !! What a treat !
Outstanding video series bald. I think everyone in North America / Europe should watch this to see how blessed we are to live where we do.
Thank you for bringing this life style that so many people live to the people on RUclips.
North America and Europe aren’t perfect by any means not everyone lives the good life
Just got back from Burger King and thry gave me a single whopper instead of a double. You freaking kidding me. I dont care i smashed my phone im so freaking pissed
@@brizzle3903that doesn’t remove the fact that the living conditions are extremely worse than them

Im so thankful for your videos, i have severe social anxiety and being able to experience the world through your eyes/videos gives me another perspective of the world. It shows me most strangers are actually friendly and nice people.
Maybe one day you'll get there!
Same, my friend, same.
Brillant!! shows how hard people have got but still smile and just be friendly.
Love your kind and respectful interactions with the people you meet, especially the sweet abuela. You stole her heart. ❤
just discovered this channel. This channel is better than any documentary and is really eye opening. All the gore videos I've seen make me think you'll die in 24 hours max in any of these countries but it's not true, but all the people commenting confirm it's very still. He's doing something very incredible, something you only read stories about. I'll save this because it also shows the friendliness of some even in those terrible conditions and poorness.
Do yourself a favor and stop the gore videos, it helped me lots
Much as I will miss the Soviet adventures, doing crazy vlogs like this is fascinating. Cant wait for North Korea, Africa, Moon, Arby's etc.
Arby's is an alien type environment
Moon! 😁
@@shadowseek27oh, I am very sure N Korea is at the top of his bucket list. I think there's too much fear for being imprisoned there and they won't let him off like the Russians did, bc they love him.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What a trip! Looking forward for the upcoming journey! I worked in a tour company in Chiapas and I saw caminantes along the way daily. Right now I am in Mexico City!
You never cease to amaze me Ben. I mean truly... Happy to see you have taken a different interest and stopped the Soviet stuff (which was fun) - there is so much more to see! I wish you luck on this journey, so you do not make any lasting negative expriences.
This is mind opening content that really puts into perspective how good some of us have it in this world, and how we should be more grateful for what we have..the children on the side of the road by the matress at 21:55 really hit me hard
His charm and charisma draws you in, definitely my favourite travel dude to watch very entertaining
That's what real journalism is. Thanks for your work Ben !
One of the few RUclips content creators that really does something of true value.
The content Bald & Timmy are currently documenting…might be in a virtual history book one day.
I know Gaza is on the Amigos heart, as well. Crazy how the NBC correspondents & media are following it like it’s a football game.
Not many RUclipsrs could even dream of what they are doing. Insane. Bald is a human’s human. Salute Timmy!
This series is going to be amazing. Thank you Bald.
you and timmy are a great combo! Good vibes from this video, love it like always. Can't wait for the next episode
Hurrah!! Mr Bald is back.
In these terrible times his videos provide much-needed enjoyment.
Around 2009 I traveled up the coast, from Turbo, taking Lanchas, boat buses, from government held village to government village through the Colombian Choko and the Darien Wilderness. It is very easy to do but, in Carpagana, 1 man tried to beat me to death with a branch off a tree.
Best travel blogger in the world!!! Greetings from 🇮🇱 🇷🇺 !!!
Colombia always welcoming people, helping people no matter where they are from. What a great country is Colombia. And Bald Colombia is also the land of Garcia marquez among other, great content as always.
Es un país muy rico en recursos, biodiversidad etc. Pero hay mucha gente que está en contra de los inmigrantes ilegales. El crimen en Cartagena ha subido 100x por sicarios y ladrones venezolanos, por ejemplo.
