I love how bad they failed trying to replicate Kojima's cinematography
Yeah, because Kojima himself was in charge of that. When he left, he barely took anyone with him. The Metal Gear Survive team is basically like 90% of the original Metal Gear Solid team (or at least of who worked on MGSV).

They obviously took shortcuts wherever they could. The whole scene with camera recordings is an easy way to avoid animating speech or allowing us to see characters up close. Not to mention that the whole game seems like an addon.

Its a shame that Konami owns the rights to Metal Gear, Castlevania, Silent Hill, etc. Don't expect good games from these franchises in a LONG time!

Woe, Is Me [&] Games like Castlevania shouldn't be given to Kojima Productions. They need to be given to their appropriate developers. See lords of shadow series, Castlevania was at its prime before it got incorporated into the Kojima development. Same with Silent Hill. Nevertheless, Metal Gear needs to be returned to Kojima, 'cause thats his franchise
I feel sorry for the devs that still have to work on Metal Gear. The fans are shitting at the game and their hard work, Kojima may have been the main guy that worked on metal gear but he wasn't the only, their are many other people that worked hard on the MG franchise. I just want everyone to understand that the devs and the game aren't your enemies, its the corporation known and Konami.

What is MG: Ghost Babel and MGR: Revengeance? Also Snake's Revenge is the reason Metal Gear *Solid* exists, and Kojima had nothing to do with that.
This would have some potential if it was its own thing, but it's not a Metal Gear game at all. There is almost nothing resembling Metal Ger in what's on the screen here.

MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT - READ AHEAD AT YOUR OWN RISK (INFO ISN'T 100% ACCURATE)
Dite isn't an alternate dimension. It simply is the same dimension roughly 100 years after the events of GZ, in a world destroyed by advanced nanomachines. The "zombies" are just people affected by said nanomachines. This also explains why DD MB is seen within the game; it's simply the ruins of it from ~100 years later. The Captain (main character/avatar) stops the wormhole from ever appearing which is why it wasn't originally seen... The wormhole event at MSF MB happened, but then it didn't because it was prevented by you. Whether or not this is canon is arguable and irrelevant, because it didn't change the key lore to the main plot of the series.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was the last good Metal Gear game, no Kojima no game.
AncientGodsTheory, Kojima made MGSV and that was good. Metal Gear Rising was good too and it wasn't made by Kojima. Don't compare Survive to that.
You say MGS4 was the last good one and Kojima no game, but Kojima made two more MG titles and worked on one spinoff? If Kojima was indeed the one person to bring the "magic" to these games, where was the magic for you in PW, V and Rising Revengeance?

This could have been a good idea if not had been for the zombie wormhole idea. It could have been a normal metal gear game and you would play as the DD who survived the attack and struggled to survive as your own organization before becoming the soldiers that you find as Big boss in the side ops

this looks really cheap with repeated assets, cutscenes, terrible writing, cinematography and bad story. What a shame.

Nice effort without Kojima, I mean the lens effects could have been a lot better for the cinematics but I’m not sure why they would make a game like this instead of just making a mgs game off of a side character in the series.

Massick Elenes Otero Survive actually takes place in a different timeline where mankind has gone extinct due to Nanomachines and now you try to prevent the wormhole from the beginning of the game from opening. This is how the "true" Metal Gear timeline starts (a timeline without the wormholes). So yeah, technically Survive is 100% canon, but it's set in a timeline that got removed because of your actions in the game.
