I just started playing Metal Gear...got Phantom Pain last month and love it and can't wait to get the rest of the games to learn more about the world. That said....this does not feel like a MGS game
To be honest, I think this game would be interesting to play. I like genres that are survival based plus its just in beta so that means more are to come. I also havent played any of the MG games so I dont know much about the series. I guess that can be another reason why I kind of like this game.

The game has pretty good survival elements in it but what disappoints me is the CQC system (I’m gonna miss those flashy judo throws) and the controls are badly modified i want them to be like TPP controls. I had fun playing with friends atleast but idk if i really want to buy this...

I'm not a complete fan, nor have I played a game of Metal Gear, but this might have a big secret to why there are these monsters. Maybe you wanted to try it out at first sight, or it wasn't what you expected, or even if you wanted to figure out what other parts of the story was missing. It looks fun, so try it out, or if you simply don't like it, my apologies if I pushed you to it.
It's just like a fan made mod. They used all the level assets, sounds, and effects like sandstorms and the Skulls mist from MGS V. You can't even say it's a game on it's own.

This is coming from a casual and new Metal Gear fan (Started at Phantom Pain): I'm into it. A little bit. The HUD looks really annoying. I also don't like the bullet-sponginess of the zombies, even if their heads are crystals.
So it also has loot boxes and requires a constant internet connection I think I will pass the metal gear storyline is pretty much complete so I think the series should be allowed to die after phantom pain that way it would go out on a high note

Couple reasons I hate this: No Kojima Primitive focused combat, with Resident Evil style slashing Boring exploration Looks completely colour drained Generic enemies Open world looks more empty than TPP I saw nothing remotely interesting or new in the entire 15 minutes Also... Maybe you wanted to try it out at first sight, or it wasn't what you expected, or even if you wanted to figure out what other parts of the story was missing. It looks fun, so try it out, or if you simply don't like it, my apologies if I pushed you to it.
My disappointment is immeasurable
It's just like a fan made mod. They used all the level assets, sounds, and effects like sandstorms and the Skulls mist from MGS V. You can't even say it's a game on it's own.
If it's free, I'll consider it, but otherwise I'm going to pass! Just looks like it's taken the same system from Phantom Pain and simply copy and pasted with bloody zombies!

Honestly, as salty as I am about the whole chapter 3 and Hideo thing, I want to try this game. It's built on a great engine with some awesome assets. I love coop survival resource games. It looks fun. Now if it's riddled with exploitive microtransactions that's a different story...

This is coming from a casual and new Metal Gear fan (Started at Phantom Pain): I'm into it. A little bit. The HUD looks really annoying. I also don't like the bullet-sponginess of the zombies, even if their heads are crystals.
Haters gonna hate, but to me this looks like it'll be my favorite co-op game of the year.
So it also has loot boxes and requires a constant internet connection I think I will pass the metal gear storyline is pretty much complete so I think the series should be allowed to die after phantom pain that way it would go out on a high note

Spear combat is similar to Deep Down's. It may be the first mgs I actually buy, just for the sake of coop

This isn't Metal Gear.
Couple reasons I hate this:
No Kojima
Primitive focused combat, with Resident Evil style slashing
Boring exploration
Looks completely colour drained
Generic enemies
Open world looks more empty than TPP
I saw nothing remotely interesting or new in the entire 15 minutes
Also... No Kojima
Grim SorrowxX you forgot to add that the cutscenes in this game does Camera Cuts instead of it keeping rolling the entire time in TPP.
What I want to know is where are you putting all of the goods you are picking up? There is no way you have room for all that stuff on your person

Against popular decision I'm excited about the game and hardcore fans might not like it but this will probably bring new people into the franchise I understand why people are disappointed but this may be better long term

The fox engine has so much potential but i feel like metal gear survive is barely scratching the surface. Konami could of created a brand new ip or used one of its other ips using the fox engine. This is one game i won't be asking to bring to the nintendo switch.

Thing is - you all are saying you aren't buying this title only because it's Metal Gear by name - yet, if you want an original IP this is probably the best way to get one, by buying this and showing support. I know we all have our beef with Konami, but dismissing a game that could possibly be good (I have no clue if it will be, it may be garbage) only because of it's name - and you haven't played it will nix any original IP or another real MG game ever.

Yeah even with the MGS V mechanics included with MGS Survive. I can’t get my head around the weird spin off story, and these zombie creatures. Konami you should of persuaded Hideo Kojima to stick around or not fire him, whichever you did. This game has parts that look cool but it’ll probably fail. Who really knows if we’ll ever get another amazing Metal Gear Solid game again.

As you can see, a lot of the comments don’t mind the game, they mind the fact that they are using the “Metal Gear” name as a money grab and it insults the “Metal Gear” name as it has absolutely nothing to do with metal gears or anything at all to do with the lore or story of the “metal gear” games. Point is: it shouldn’t be called “Metal Gear...” it should be called something else.
