Hey, Sam! Very nice effect. Beautiful plein air painting. I must admit I now and then go bananas when trying to get the right green to create a strong sense of distance, without loosing the vibrancy of colour play in the mountains. When I block in a painting, I am very nonchalant, almost careless, because its sort of a way to protect myself against any frustration that can sometimes surface in the first stages of painting. Your Long Beach is WAY different than our Long Beach near Los Angeles.
For sure, I have heard of Long Beach in California but I have never been there...I would love to visit California and go plein air painting there 😊

Looks amazing. How long does it typically take to paint a smaller painting like that on location.
Thanks Terry. For the plein air painting part of this art work it took me about two hours, then another few more hours in the studio 😊
