In this video I go on a little outdoor painting adventure in my local area and I paint an epic landscape en plein air. I am painting in the Bay of Islands in the far north of New Zealand
Throughout the video I demonstrate how to paint a landscape en plein air using oil paints and I give you tips on painting trees, grass, distant landforms and mixing greens. I also explain how to create atmospheric depth in your painting.
In the second part of the video I take my plein air painting back to my studio and I add details to it.
