You are wonderful, explaining and naming the colors you use, your thinking process, why you make certain decisions etc. I am so grateful I found your channel!🌷🇿🇦
I so appreciate the paint mixing recipes as well as the creative thought process. Your gift to us is considerable since it's complete. So generous . You are a 'light being".
Samuel Thanks for sharing your talent and explaining calmingly how we can achieve a true to image we see, you're able to get amazing depth and colour in your painting. Thanks greatly appreciated, stay safe from the UK.
Thank you so much. I'm going to be loosening up my painting style in general as lately I feel more drawn to that style of landscape painting. I'll be making more videos on this style of painting 😊
Beautiful painting, Sam. Your teaching videos are fantastic. Your explanations of the steps you take make watching a pleasure. You are a great teacher. And your garden looks super, particularly the banana tree.😁 Be safe. Cheers, Mate.

Hi Karren, not often, mainly cause I just love painting with oils. I have made a video on painting a mountain landscape in acrylics: ruclips.net/video/-zz5AzOaUfc/видео.html
Hi Norm, I transitioned to oils from acrylics using water mixable oils. I think water mixable oils are great if using normal oils are an issue. You can clean your palette and brushes with soap and water so it's less toxic. I have found that water mixable oils behave just like normal oils 😊
@@SamuelEarpArtist thanks for your reply, Sam. I'm so glad I can use oils now without turps. But I must say, I do miss the smell of linseed oil from my school days...lol And ... I really love your work!
Hi Sam great videos as usual!! I’m wondering what Kind of medium you use for your plein air work that I’ve sene in a recent video. it’s seems to be like a solid gel. Thank you
I emailed Andrew in 2014 after seeing his art work online. I was stuck with my own art work and Andrew helped me. We chatted on Skype and I went to visit him when he was living in Melbourne, Australia. I helped Andrew with two en plein air art tours in New Zealand in 2016. Andrew now lives here in New Zealand so we meet up to go plein air painting every so often 😊
You simply the Best!!! thank you so much!

Love this demo thank you. QUESTION: Can you please tell me the brand and full color name of your "yellow oxide"? Is it transparent yellow oxide?
Never trust a skinny chef, and never trust a painter with a tidy studio. Your channel is awesome, thank you
Ha ha, that good cause my studio is a mess!!!! 😊
HEY! I got a tidy studio, I think I'm pretty trusty... except never take your eyes off your wallet while I'm around...I'll have it!

Hi Sam do you ever paint in acrylics. Would be great know how you would get a similar result.
He has , check out his you tube video "How to paint mountain landscape in acrylics" he put out a year ago. Happy painting!!

A question, Sam - what is your take on water mixable oils as opposed to old fashioned oils?
Hi Norm, I transitioned to oils from acrylics using water mixable oils. I think water mixable oils are great if using normal oils are an issue. You can clean your palette and brushes with soap and water so it's less toxic. I have found that water mixable oils behave just like normal oils 😊

Thank you so much, welcome aboard 😊
sam i cant find the colour cobalt teal or phalo green is there any other colours i could use instead?
Hi Ross, you could try ultramarine blue, titanium white with a little cadmium yellow. ...or do you have phthalo blue?
Hi Sam great videos as usual!! I’m wondering what Kind of medium you use for your plein air work that I’ve sene in a recent video. it’s seems to be like a solid gel. Thank you
Thanks. I use Windsor and Newton Liquin Original, it improves the flow of the paint and speeds up the drying time. 😊
Thank you so much Maestro!!
Thumbs up, and then watch the video...lol
Thanks 😊
Hi! Can you reccomend a substitute for cobald teal?
It is very difficult to find here 😭
Hi Pietro, you can make a colour similar to cobalt teal by mixing ultramarine blue, phthalo green and titanium white 😊
@@SamuelEarpArtist cool thank you! Than it is like turquoise. If I use turquoise? 😊
@@imdoingajourney It's a little like turquoise but more blue 😊
@@SamuelEarpArtist amazing thanks!
