If anyone needs to know what the song is about: it's the character song of Kajiwara Kagetoki, a fictional version of a historical figure from 12th century Japan. The real Kagetoki was a warrior of the Taira clan who was tasked to kill Minamoto no Yoritomo, the enemy commander - instead, he switched sides and became a spy for the Minamoto. He got off on the wrong foot with Yoshitsune, Yoritomo's brother, and decided to drive a wedge between the two... Kagetoki's scheming eventually led to Yoshitsune committing ritual suicide.
Haruka 3's Kagetoki is a heroic variation so he's struggling with loyalty issues, as seen in the lyrics (dark and clear streams, betrayal, etc.).
I remember walking home from school listening to this song. Good times.

He's really good. Hearing him play Kakashi, you wouldn't think he could actually sing. Is he also a singer, or are they just for fun? =o So far my favorite songs I've heard him sing are this one and Natsu Yuuzora. He also played Madara in Natsume Yuujinchou, he makes an awesome grumpy drunk cat. xD

I've noticed Kazuhiko Inoue has this strange tendency to sing in a much higher pitch than his character's voice should be. The only one of his songs I know of where he sings in a deeper pitch is "Bakuenteki Guren Toushi" from Super Robot Wars Alpha. It's very obscure and hard to find, but you'll find it if you try hard enough. I know I did. 👌

It's actually from the Owarinaki Unmei vocal collection album for Harukanaru Toki no Naka De 3. I guess it's hard to find because it didn't get released on the full Haruka song collection set (it was released later?) I have the CD so I dunno but I think it's quite a popular song because it features in the Owarinaki anime as BGM...
