Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to another mod tutorial! In today's video, we will be covering Darthmod for Empire: TW. I figured because I have covered Darthmod for Napoleon, it is only fair to cover Empire's version as well.

For those asking about the 2nd disk issue, make sure to unzip the platinum 2 file and make sure the file it's self is in your empire folder (the one you created at the start of the video). This worked for me

Yes I have Windows 10 and my install process went fine! So hopefully you shouldn't have any problems.
@@CelticWarband i tryed another guide last year, i dont know maybe i did something wrong, anyways i will follow your guide and hope for the best. Would be cool to see some more empire on your channel. Or 1212 thats what I mostly play right now =)
I will bring some more replays out soon. Most of my 1212 replays are from streams. So people have already seen it. Not sure its worth it to make a replay out of it.

Do you know how I could add the all factions sub mod to this mod? I’ve done it in the past but I’m not sure how to do it now
You should be able to drop it into the Darthmod folder. It should popup with an option to overwrite files.
But I don't know the actual process bc I havent downloaded.

7:52 I'm very glad that my Napoleon is good to go. Now how about Empire lol. Great video though, plenty of spaces inbetween steps for the slower among us, and you were clear and concise in your instructions. Easily puts you in the top 10% of YT install guides :)

It keeps asking me to insert disk two and wont allow me to continue past that point, i own the steam version. i tried a couple times, it gets a pathing error? and wont let me select the right spot for the local files

Late response, but did you download part 2 of darthmod? You unzip the part 2 file in the same location as the main part

I can help guys because I had the same issue. When it asks you for disk 2, it'll tell you the name of the 'disk' it cannot find. You'll notice on closer inspection that for whatever reason there is a slight difference in the name of that 'disk' and the actual file name of the unzipped part 2 you downloaded. For me it was literally a space difference. Simply change the file name you've downloaded to match the 'disk' name its trying to find. Once you do that, try it again, and it will find the second disk its looking for

Hmm strange my Empire is a steam version and ive had this working before but now it says please insert disk 2 after i install part one??
same thing now i'm stuck

Hey I had the same problem but I seemingly found a fix, bear with me as I am not a computer savvy person. When it asks for disk 2, you should get a window where you can browse for the disk 2 file which should be in the desktop Empire TW file. I believe Darthmod file 1 tells the install program what the 2nd file should be named so it can be found automatically. The problem is that the 2nd file's name does not match what the program was expecting so the program throws a fit in response. All you have to do is rename the second file to what the program is expecting (which should be: DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum 1.2 ) if you don't see the file 2 in the folder remember to switch the filter criteria in the bottom right pull down menu to "all files". Once the file is renamed, the program accepts it.

I'm not very pc savvy myself either and would never have thought of this,im very sure the last time i played this (couple years ago at least properly) it just loaded in one hit as Darth Napoleon does. I will keep you posted as to the result this evening. Many thanks again for taking the time to answer with a * Fingers crossed * fix.

so we discard the platinum 2 (not exe) file once we've done the two exe files? That was merely there to back up the DM installation, not needed in the game folder after?

I did everythung as depicted but when I try to instal the mod I get restrictions pop up saying operation has been canceled due to restrictions on my computer.

for those having the disk 2 error, all you need to do is have all 3 files you downloaded in the same folder (the one Celtic created at the beginning), extrack the file from the zip folder into the file you created and it should work. on top of that i also reselected my E:TW steam file when it gave me the error, but i dont think this was the fix, i think unzipping the file was the fix
Hi Celtic do you must on darthmod open the shortcut and minimalize it and start from the steam libary too so you can play darthmod ?
No when you use the shortcut it will launch the game with the mod at the same time.
and thank you the mod work good without any problem so far i play late campaign and i am on year 1789 i think
As I opened the launcher I hear "Its quite loud so i shut it off" and proceed to have my ears blown out with orchestral music
Hey mate, whenever I download the part 2 from any of the links it already has it in winrar as a pdf file which is why I think mine isnt working. Any solutions to get it like yours (blank white page) when extracting. I cant find any other solutions online?

If your darthmod crashes upon launching it.
Reset to vanilla, launch the game, enter a campaign, quit the game and then reapply darth mod.
You must have atleast entered a campaign prior to installing this!

quick question, I was looking to get the game but i saw a few recent reviews mentionning that the mod is not working anymore due to the latest patch, is it true?
If not, do i need to re-install the mod everytime there's a game patch?

Thanks for the help installing the mod I was able to play as scotland in custom battle but I can't access them as a faction in grand campaign. I tried using the causa belli mod as well but scotland has now disappeared from custom battle suggestions?
Can you have multiple mods installed for a game or just one per? Meaning if I wanted American Civil War 3.6 and Darthmod for the same Empire TW, can I?

Make sure you do NOT have ANY other mods that conflict with DME, DME is an overhaul and may not be compatible with any other mods you have installed.

What about the Darthmod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum.2 white file? Do we do anything with that or is it used automatically when installing the 8.0 Platinum and 8.0.1 Patch?
Hey, any of you who have tested it out, does this mod resolve the classic bug where due to the 1 unit stack spam the AI turns take ages to complete and at some point freeze forever?

Platinum 2? You need the base game Empire: TW for the mod to work.
is it normal starting late campaign with 1x cannons in artillery units (i selected 2x artillery scale in launcher)? like i need to recruit new arty units to get the 2x artillery scale feature working. this happens to me playing ultimate late campaign as Prussia
