@Lionheartx10 On the note of doing a revolution to become a monarchy you need the richest class (as a republic that would be the middle class) taxed to max and you need them to rebel in your capital. Your capital is Philadelphia in the Grand Campaign not Boston, FYI.
Since you want the rebels to only spawn in your capital, exempt taxes on every city except your capital and make sure you have no garrison army in your capital then choose to side with the revolution. It will take three turns for the revolution to start.
Once you do, attack the capital immediately and don't worry about the garrison force in the capital since it is only going to be firelock armed citizenry. You can auto resolve the battle or fight it yourself however you. After you take the capital you will win the revolution and all of the territory and any army you did have prior to the revolution will return to you. Plus you still keep the revolution army so that's basically a free army right there.
There is a annoying little bug though after you win the revolution that you can't control any of your armies except the revolution army so it's best that you weren't are war with anyone before the revolution. The bug immediately goes away after the end of the turn. Also it is best you do it very early in the game especially if you start at peace because mostly you won't have any conflict prior and if it is something you really want to do.

@@gioojisba2758 Yes you can and what happened to you wasn't a revolution it was a regular rebellion which you can't play as. To make a revolution make the population in your capital rebel not in any other city that's why I said if you want that to happen exempt taxes on all your other cities except your capital.

Hi Lionheart, I did a USA playthrough a few years ago and I remember encountering a slight problem with the philosophy tech tree. Your capital city/state is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and unfortunately you don't have a university built in Pennsylvania but you do in Boston, Massachusetts. In order the access the 4th tier of philosophy tech you need to build a modern university which can only be done in your capital state, not at New Haven. You'll have to get rid of a building in Pennsylvania and build a new educational building there.
Please try and upvote this so he sees it as soon as possible. It won't be a problem now but in later turns it might delay the campaign. Been a fan of yours since Rome 2 and I hope this helps one of the best youtubers around!!

The last time I played the US campaign, I conquered every single region in the America Theater. As well as Paris, Madrid, all of Italy, North Africa, and got all the way to Istanbul before I was really stopped. It was a lot of back and forth on who held the city. By that point, I think it was 1848 and the only countries left was England, France (on one of the small islands), Prussia, Russia, and the Ottomans. By that point, either my computer or the game couldn't handle it anymore. The turns for each nations were like 10 minutes long. It was glorious.

    America's Eyes Part 1:
Disclaimer: As a result of the end date of Road to Independence and the Grand Campaign start date being years different, the series America’s Eyes has started again. Some characters have and will reappear and the story may seem similar in parts but it will have different aspects to it.
“The Iroquois are the first to be freed or that is what Congress wishes to happen. They have realised peace with Britain can only last so long but it leaves the rest of America ours for the taking. As always the army needs intelligence and we proved this in our fight against the Redcoats.” Major Blackwood said. “Your job gentlemen is to head out and find some men of Iroquois who are willing to join the American cause. You have two weeks before the army marches.”
The band of five men, all soldiers but out of uniform, stood up and saluted before heading out. The men headed straight to the streets. “Sergeant where to first.” one man asked.
“We search the taverns here first in case there are only traders here. We hire them and get the information we need Matthew.”
“But what if there are no natives there sir?” Matthew asked slightly nervously.
“I forgot it was your first time. You know the basics of what we do. We get the information, one way or the other. We would all prefer to have men who willing get us information, makes them useful later on. But if needed then we extract men and get the information that way.”
Matthew swallowed, “Extract, you mean torture?”
“Soldier if you are not up to this leave now. I will not tolerate any weakness in our team. You understand. The major gets results and we help to provide them. It said that Major Blackwood effectively won the war for us so buck up your ideas or get out.”
“I’m in sir. Matthew you are with me. Smith and Horn you two take the east of the town. Hue take the southern end. Go and find some Iroquois.”
    ~~
The day had grown late and none of the Sergeant’s men had had any luck finding any traders anywhere in the city. They had gathered to discuss options. “Horn and Smith go and make sure our supplies are in order, I want to leave at dawn tomorrow. Hue make sure our horses are ready and stable lads know we are leaving at dawn, I will not be late because of some foolish child. Matthew and I…”
“Sir, keep talking but slowly look to that alley over my shoulder. There is someone watching.” Matthew said very quietly.
The Sergeant looked briefly and saw the silhouette of a man. “You do have uses boy. Hue, Horn slowly peel as if you have a job to do and loop around behind this man.” The two men obeyed and slowly moved off. A few minutes later, the remaining men heard a scuffle and watched as their comrades dragged out a native from the alley.
“All this searching and we finally find one.” Smith spat.
“On your knees.” The sergeant ordered. The native man was slow to respond was forced down by Hue and Horn. “When I give an order, you follow. You understand me sonny.” The native man nodded. “Why are you watching us?”
“I heard rumours men were searching for my people. Must had fled the city already but I stayed and watched.” the man replied in fluent English.
    “Why?”
“My family was exiled many years ago, when I was a young boy. We lived under the British and now the Americans. The Iroquois nation is no home to me.”
The band of men came together and held a hushed conversation. “Well sonny,” the Sergeant said, “looks like it is your lucky day. You are coming with us to see our officer. Looks like you are going home though sonny.”

The enemy had a total of 8 mostly light infantry and two grenadiers I had my line infantry hugging a ridge to fire on down too them to get their attention as my dragoons was hidden the whole fight and tbh I had forgotten about them. As the enemy launched its grenadiers into my line infantry my dragoons burst through the woods to clean up the light infantry and slam into the grenadiers to save my line troops with only 82 and 140 left of the two that remained. *Here Follows the account of Johnathan Harding, 9th Regiment of Foot*
We'd been told before the battle that the savage Iroquois would quickly retreat when confronted with an organized, and well armed, opponent. When the battle began it seemed that these rumors were true. While they fought with bravery, their attempts at breaking our line were disorganized and quickly repelled thanks to the harassing of our cavalry as well as our cannon's unrelenting grapeshot. Hundreds of their warriors charged us, only to turn and run after a few volleys. When word spread that their commander, their chief, had fallen in battle we had assumed they would break and run, opting to survive to fight another day to avenge their comrades rather than be cut down in what was surely a battle that had been lost.
Instead the loss of their commander seemed to steel them against our fire. Hundreds of warriors charged over the hill towards us as well as the 7th. They closed in on us as we reloaded, the first rank only managing to finish and blindly fire in a last ditch attempt to rebuff their assault. The warriors charged over our fortifications, letting out a chorus of battle cries that seemed to shake the Earth and drown out the roar of the cannons. They surged over the first and second ranks like a wave wielding their tomahawks and war clubs. We in the third rank had just a moment to brace ourselves before the enemy met us in melee.
It quickly became clear that we had grossly underestimated the fighting prowess and the fighting spirit of our foe.
No matter how many we managed to dispatch it seemed three more came to take their place. I managed to quickly dispatch one of their warriors with my bayonet, skewering him through the gut, only to have my weapon torn away as another immediately lunged at me to avenge his fallen comrade. I barely managed to draw my knife from by belt as a meager means of defense, desperately dodging my foe's rapid advance. I stumbled backwards, the warrior swinging with his closed fist and striking me in the chin, and I fell to the ground.
Time slowed to a crawl as the Iroquois warrior prepared his final strike, raising his tomahawk to deliver the killing blow. Around me I saw my comrades begin to waver as the enemy continued to push us back. For a moment despair began to creep in as I accepted my death. I closed my eyes, muttering a brief last second prayer of absolution to prepare myself for heaven's embrace, however the final blow didn't come. I looked up as a trumpet rang out and tide of horses, the 2nd Lancers of Pulaski's legion, bound over the trenches into the backs of our foes. My opponent turned to face the oncoming tide just as a lance struck him in the chest. The remnants of our foe broke and ran at the arrival of Pulaski's legion, and the battle quickly came to an end.
We were never told the exact number of men we lost that day, though word quickly spread around camp that we'd dispatched over a thousand of Iroquois. There are some who say that our enemy would quickly capitulate as the war continued on, that their warriors lacked the fighting spirit to continuously fight us in the field of battle. I don't dare make assumptions about how long, or how bloody, this conflict will be. All I know is that the men of the 9th and the 7th line infantry regiments understand the strength and ferocity that our enemy possesses.

You need the middle class to rebel to go to constitutional monarchy. Don't bother with the lower class, lower class only helps to go to Republic. Easiest way to do it is increase the Taxes for middle class and do it early, as it doesn't take long at all. Do not have a garrison in your capital and destroy the wall if necessary. In your other territories you should exempt them from taxes to avoid problems. I think constitutional monarchy is the best government form in this game, and it helps a lot with unrest as you have no lower class. I recommend doing it soon, best would have been in the first 3 turns.

I don't know if someone already answered your question. But you need to only max the tax of the highest class to get to Monarchy and I believe which kind of Monarchy you get is random. (Constitutional or Absolute) And only in your Capital Province. So safest and easiest way is to make sure they are no units in your capital or near your capital by disbanding them or sending them far away, Exempt all regions except your Capital from Tax put the Tax from the Highest Class (in your case the middle class) to max and wait three turns, side with the rebels and take your capital. If you btw want the other kind of Monarchy the exact same thing has to be done again and if you wanna go back to a Republic you have to do the same thing but only then for the lowest Class.

    • @Wolf6119
      @Wolf6119 5 лет назад

It's not random at all actually. If the upper class revolts in a Republic, they'll form a Constitutional Monarchy. If they revolt again in the Constitutional Monarchy, they'll "upgrade" it to an Absolute one.

One thing people totally miss about early America...the cotton that came from America dressed the world. We took the world who we're mostly living in rags and the same clothes and just plain brown and tan colors to a world where the common man and woman could dress like the courts and royalties.
We think that everyone dressed like the paintings of times prior but that was only of the royalties and courts and not the common peasant. America took the world from rags to riches, literally with the cotton.
