Yes, would love to see your thoughts on the Four Roses Single Barrels floor comparison bottles. I've asked people about this for a while now. I know they vary being a single barrel but to me (my opinion), I get a little more flavor from the higher tier bottles. Great video! Cheers! 🥃

Thank you for the reply! We’ve been wanting to do a comparison for a while now too. Consider it done.

Totally have to have OF 1920 in here. I got a 1792 FP store pick from SE McLoughlin Blvd Liquor in OR that is wayyy better than the regular shelfer(and it's good, like you said). Doesn't drink like 125 at all. Elijah Craig just went up in $ in OR all across the board, F'ing sucks. New Riff SB is great. Ranier Liquor Tumblin' Dice SB pick, Nulu Reserve and Barrel Foundation are all really good. Trails End 10 yr is a hidden gem

OF 1920 is a good one. I haven’t had any in a while, so I guess I’m going to have to pick a bottle up. Still haven’t had Tumblin’ Dice, and I would love to get a 1792 store pick. Thanks for the great suggestions!

Right out of the gate 2 great suggestions. I agree with the legacy distillery as a starting point.

Thank you! Wild Turkey really does offer great quality for a great value.

A bottle from all major brands and any craft in your area. Regardless of proof I personally don’t think they should make anything under 50abv but we all know that’s not going to happen. But for someone just starting out I’d tell them to go with 45abv minimum. Knob creek is one of my favorites but Turkey produces some great whiskey. Enjoy!!

You can’t go wrong with the legacy distilleries, with the exception of Buffalo Trace at secondary prices. Good idea about local craft whiskey. We hopefully will be visiting the Oregon distilleries this year to check out what they offer. Appreciate the comment!

I am in Canada. We only get an incredibly limited selection of American whiskey here. Out of all the bottles you recommend in this video only THREE are available in my province (British Columbia). Wild Turkey Rare Breed Bourbon (we don't get the Rare Breed Rye at all), Knob Creek 12 Year Old, and Maker's Mark Cask Strength. All three are very good, of course, but I really hate the fact that our range of choices is so poor. And ordering alcohol by mail from outside Canada is illegal, so that's not an option.

That’s a bummer! I’m sorry it’s so difficult to get bourbon where you’re at. Do you have any Canadian Whiskey you recommend us trying?

@@TheDramDiaries -- I am not sure which Canadian Whiskies are available where you are in the US, but if you can find them I recommend Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye (avoid the non-cask-strength AP), Canadian Club 20 Year Old, Lot 40 Rye, J.P. Wisers's 18 Year Old, and J.P. Wiser's 15 Year Old.

@richardbostan4286 Thank you for the recommendations. I have seen an Alberta Premium Cask Strength, a non cask strength Lot 40 and Lot 40 double oaked (I think), and the J.P. Wiser's 15 year. We'll pick one up soon. Thanks again!

Have you had any Kentucky Spirit SB? I haven't seen it, but have seen mixed reviews and apparently you want to get a bottle from Camp Nelson if possible. Also, being a couple hours from Weston, I have really enjoyed the bourbons that Holladay has been putting out.

I've had one Kentucky Spirit (not from Camp Nelson), and although I liked it, I felt that Russell's Reserve Single Barrel and Rare Breed were much better values. It was maybe 20% better than Wild Turkey 101. I did have a Russell's store pick from Camp Nelson and it was the best Wild Turkey bourbon I've had, probably equaling the Russell's 13yr I tried.
We have only had the Ben Holiday 6yr Rickhouse Proof and it's pretty good. I'm excited to see if they will release some old bourbons in the future.

It looks like you drink all your bottles to the same level then shelf it.

Nope. We drink through stuff. Things we don’t like as much tend to sit there for a while, but what we do like gets enjoyed and replaced.
