You set the Moon Phase correctly by the Full Moon position, then forward the days since the last Full Moon, and reverse the crown to the correct date. This is from the Omega User Manual. The crown has 3 positions: 1. Normal position (wearing position): the crown pushed in against the case guarantees water resistance. Occasional winding: if the watch has not been worn for 60 hours or more, wind the watch by turning the crown whilst in position 1. 2. Date and moon phase correction: Pull the crown out to Position 2. Move the crown forward to correct the moon phase. Shift the disc forward to "full moon" position, then turn the crown past enough "notches" to get rid of the days since the last full moon (consult a lunar calendar). Turn the crown backwards to correct the date. Return the crown to Position 1. 3. Time setting: hour - minute - seconds. As you pull the crown out to Position 3, the seconds hand will stop. Move the crown forward or backwards as needed. Synchronise seconds by pushing the crown back to Position 1 at the stroke of the hour.
My first time owning an Omega and just making sure that the crown is just pull up and push back down, without the screw down motion of the Rolex? I'm a bit nervous about getting it wet due to the lack of a screw down, is this a legit concern? Also, the watch comes in an alligator strap, so I can't wash it like a Rolex Sub with water & soap (at least without taking the straps off), so what is the best cleaning advice for this moonwatch? Bought it at one of your Radcliffe stores.
how do you know when setting the date whether it's AM or PM, there doesn't seem to be a 24 hour indicator. Do you just advance the watch in the stop seconds position until the date flips?
I have the one. It does not damage the mechanism because while the chrono is running, the reset button is locked. Till the the chrono is stopped, the reset button is unlocked and comes in to work.

Like any other watch. If today is the 26th you use the crown to go to 25th and then spin through to 26th which is AM
@@ripperx444 nice nice
I can't believe at this price it's feasible to damage the mechanism based on wrong procedures (like "reset" while the chronometer is activated)

Basically just don’t wear the watch
