I like how dynamic of a watchmaker Omega is. They never rest on their laurels, always develop new materials and find new uses for existing materials, took the leap in developing the coaxial escapement, etc. Supposedly every watch they make from 2018 and beyond will be impervious to 15 milgauss; amazing!
Love your reviews. Keep them coming. You take you time and show the watches from all angles, whilst discussing all features at length. Especially the recent preview of the Rolex SeaDweller 2017 from the Baselworld show. You guys were the first one on YT to do it! Super excited about that watch
purchased one of these two weeks ago and it is stunning watch, Looks amazing , If you have not had a chance to actually see one, get on it, I could not resist, i still wear my Speed master professional Sapphire Sandwich more than this as with my IWC but i just love looking at this watch....S tunning
I saw this watch today at an Omega boutique and it truly is a beautiful piece. I’ve never been that interested in the Speedmaster before but this in the flesh is incredible. So much better than the Speedmaster Professional in my opinion and with better movement. I’m saving for a Planet Ocean but wow this made my heart skip a beat today. Maybe this is a better choice 👍🏻
Hi. Can I ask a very simple question. I understand that this has he 9904 movement and is an automatic but Is it possible to also wind it manually? thanks
Tried this watch on today. It really is beautiful. Only downside is that the leather strap feels massively inferior to my Breitling Navitimer. If Omega would use some additional bolstering, it would be a home run.
Absolutely beautiful. I'm lusting after it. The thing that keeps me away from omega is not the price, but the service practices hurting watchmakers and robbing customers. Like mandatory $500 strap change for damaged straps when all you want is a service. Nice review thanks!
can not be legal. go back and tell them to go fuck themselves. without ur permission they can not just change ur strap. tell them it was a strap that had a religious value to u and u are suing them for 1 million euro compensation. if they fail to provide you with that exact strap that u gave them the watch with then they better have good laywers
Constructive criticism: I like your reviews but you should probably invest in a proper microphone, we hear a lot of echoes and your voice going back and forth. Also, it would be nice if it wouldn't be a single point of view for the whole length of the video. You could add some dynamism by integrating photographs of the timepiece and other point of views. Thanks.
I really wanted to like this and was ready to buy it but its way too thick (tallness) for my wrist. It is a little bit on the larger side too. I would take the one like this without the moon-phase if Omega can figure out how to make it thinner. In fact the perfect one would be this design with the manual wind movement
Very nice review, got mine about a month ago and have been enjoying it, I agree that the only thing they could have done better is with the size. Maybe they will get rid of the domed sapphire display back. Also I believe that the leather band is genuine alligator with calf leather inside - on the site one of the cons stated it wasn't authentic alligator.
I love this watch. I like the black on a stainless strap, but this one, the blue one I would love even more on a stainless strap. It's definitely an itch I will have to scratch. I think I can hear my wallet crying somewhere in the corner.
44mm, over 10k. Moonphase is cool but otherwise just a re-color of the same coaxial Speedmaster of the last few years. I'll take a Moonphase moon watch for half the price.
How much!!!! I always saw Omega as very decent watches that were around half the price of a Rolex. At 10k plus you might as well just buy a Rolex unless you prefer George Clooney over F1.
The subdials look too busy and not very legible. The display caseback adding unnecessary thickness is a big mistake, and they make it dome shaped just to piss people off a bit more. Moonphase is pointless in a sports chrono watch. Omega annoys me with all their Speedy iterations and with how they've messed up the Planet Ocean after the 2500. I've lost almost all interest in the brand. Great review otherwise Adam, as always, thanks.
It still only offers 60 hours powerreserve, which is rather disgraceful for an iconic racing watch which is supposed to compete with the 72 hours powerreserve of the Rolex Daytona. Omega is stuck in limbo except from their excessive price point. Clearly they are a brand in decline !
I find it odd that you'd jump from the Omega having 12 hours less PR than a Rolex, to Omega being a "brand in decline". To add to that, calling a 12h difference in PR "disgraceful" makes me sort of think that your opinion is something which anyone can safely disregard.
@thomgxx100 Hope you understand that you are not get the full 72 hours and chronometric performance at the same time. Any one with a half a brain can make a larger mainspring to put in a barrel to produce that power. But making it turn efficient and accurate, well there lies the skill. OMEGA's 9900 movement is equipped with the twin barrel system that allows a constant flow of power to go throughout the movement.
The Rolex doesn't stack up wrt complications. No date window. No moon phase. The latter is a purely artistic complication, granted, but there nonetheless.
@Vic Then how come e.g Lange & Sons, a fairly new watch company, manufacture some of the worlds most accurate chronographs with pr from 72 hours and beyond with...oh! oh! yeah! A TWIN BARREL SYSTEM ???

This collection is fantastic! I love Speedmasters (specially the dark and grey side of the moon models, and this moon phase line as well).

This is my dream watch. I can't stop watching videos on it. I wish they made it blue with a bracelet instead of a strap....
Thanks for the review. Nice to see another guy having to use the last notch in the strap & know it doesn’t look too big.

looking good in blue like this

It's a great watch. Quite a tall watch but the crystal & bezel design makes it wear a bit smaller than a PO.
3:30 When he starts speaking about the moon phase feature.
11:50 Retail price

@@andyreiter6253 they probably do have very good lawyers...

Buzz Aldrin. Armstrongs watch was left behind as a backup

i LOVE THE GREEN BEZEL ONE

its buzz aldrins footprint. Great watch!
Wow just, wow! Stunning piece .
Ariel had a glass or two of wine before the review. Good Content.
Additional info aside from the actual moon photograph those stars around the moon glows when hit by right amount of light.
Does this watch glows in the dark mate?

loads of new releases this year from omega ✔
This was actually released last year at Baselworld 2016
Keep waiting for these to dip under 5k-doesn’t seem to be happening.
Pretty sure it will soon with the whole covid19 situation.
@@Virtuousxlifethis comment aged like milk! Haha just kidding!!
I love the watch, but I'd rather get a car before I get the watch with that price.
I love this watch. God it's sexy!

You can find them online or grey market for about 30% off the MSRP.
👏👏👏😎

are you drunk?
Might want to stop biting your nails.
Bad review and boring also.
Ariel clearly knows that what he's reviewing is (the usual) shit, hence why he cannot put his soul into it !
Lol another Speedmaster version. The Bulova Moon Watch must have scared them...
boring
