Thank you for making this. I’ve always wanted the moon phase version, but actually seeing them side by side. I prefer the standard speedmaster for a quick glimpse at your watch and I like the look of bracelet much better too.
Another excellent review sir! I’m glad now that I bought the moonphase instead of the 3861. I have the moonphase and it fits my 19cm wrist good. I only got approximately 12% discount from my AD, but he threw in the leather strap. Thanks for the outstanding review and we have very similar taste in watches!
Interesting to know about the boot on the moonphase. I am eager to own either of them 😊 Update: I got the moonphase! No regrets it looks more sophisticated like the big daddy of the professional moon watch
good material, i own an planet ocean chrono 9900 with apropiate dimension and I can tell you and audience that in one week you don`t feel the dimenssion and weight, moonwatch is very refined but is a tool watch not a luxury watch like moonphase, again thank you for video & keep going
Amazing video review, Helped me make my decision as to which one to go with [Moonphase on bracelet] I've been offered the blue version on leather at a discount but i'm going to look for black w/ bracelet
Hi @butik, Good video, exactly what I was looking for. However are you sure about the hands ? As mentioned above by someone else, I’m not sure they are made of white gold.
I don't believe you! jk I bought the moon phase last week. It's busy, I agree, but can still read the time and sometimes stare into the abyss of details. A pretty different watch, but it has all the luxury, finishes and, movement advancements and materials that a modern Omega would have.
Too bad you couldn't keep both! I got the moon phase and would probably get the hesalite version to go along with it for rare occasions to go back as close as possible to the original and in homage to my moon phase!
I try to keep my box very small and very versatile. These two would be too similar to keep them. After many years of trying hundred of watches I have reduced down to 3, with different styles & dial colours - I am absolutely happy with this and do not plan on expansion again.
I am afraid the watch would become totaly illegible (even now it's not easy to read the date). Also, as I sad in the vid - 44,25 that you see in specs & 16mm thickness really scare you, but in reality it is not that bad. Anyway, it's not a small dress watch by any means :)
Fully agree. There is bracelet similar to new speedy, but with 21mm lugwidth -> available on Speedy Chronoscope. Unfortunately position of springbars is different, so even though dimension at lugs is OK it does not fit the Moonphase, co cannot be swapped. I wanted to do it, but it's technically no-go.Pitty
And this is crazy. Technically standard Moonwatch is not even close to Moonphase. But "history" etc... well, I remember buying my first MW few years ago for roughly 3k€. It is nearing 10k€ today in retail. Nuts and strongly overpriced.
good choice. I was never a fan of the moonwatch. don't like hesalite, don't think the subdials are as nice, prefer automatic movement, prefer sapphire/caseback. I don't think the hands are white gold.
Thank you for making this video, I sincerely appreciate it

standard moon is surely more wearable for normal wrists, but definietly the moonphase is more interesting and looks more luxury

U think it will be too large on 17cm wrist ?
Max I got in Canada from AD is 7%...Boo
Thank you for the review. Love the moon phase

Congrats! Wear that baby in good health! What a stunning grail watch you got!
I've thought the moonphase was really cool since having it introduced by Joe Rogan on the Lex Friedman show
Lol that’s why I’m here. I want one now !
I bought it because of that pod lol
@@disaul1627 Me too!

Just the video I needed I’m thinking of getting a speed master but I know nothing about it, I’m more of a sea master type of guy thank you 👊🏼👍🏼

If u don’t mind,how much ?
awesome video.
Awesome video.
Thanx
I love your video. Can you please do a comparison between This moonpshase and the Worldtimer? I wanna hear your opinion on those. Thanks
Thanks. Unfortunately I do not have the Worldtimer any more. I will try to ask my friend If I can get one for a weekend - then will do.
Does the moon move throughout the month?
Hi @butik,
Good video, exactly what I was looking for.
However are you sure about the hands ? As mentioned above by someone else, I’m not sure they are made of white gold.
That is correct, probably rhodium plated. Sorry for mistake.
Great review! Do you think the moonphase would look ok on my 2 inch diameter wrist?
I love the moonphase complication, but I wish the dial was cleaner. It looks too busy compared to the OG Speedmaster Professional.

Would be nice to see that moonphase in a smaller diameter. And also with the new speedmaster bracelet.
You’ve two beauties there. 👏

I think that the hands and indices are Rhodium plated stainless steel, the new Ultra deep has White gold hands.
Thanks!
The moonphase would be the coolest watch ever if it had the same bracelet as the new speedy

@@Butik1 couldnt agree more. I want to get one but feel like I should wait and see if omega comes out with a new bracelet
Used they are nearing the same price now :o

Only 4000.00 dollar difference in price. That moon phase is gorgeous! It is big………

Moonphase for me.
