Having owned both, I am saddened every time I see an NA or NB go to the great parking lot in the sky 😢
i guess when you got a shit ton of mx-5 laying around
its all good but boy if i had the chance to get my hands on this NA miata
I would totally pay to fix it
Panicked a bit when I saw the reg of the crashed mk1! I bought a yellow mk1 yesterday which is also a “J” reg ending in “WRX”😅😅
I would consider getting this prize repaired. Put that thing on the rack and stretch it or cut out section from the breakers outside. Miata first gens are going up in value. At least here in the States.
Btw what would the cost be to do all the doable repairs minus the front door jamb?
The values are not high enough yet in the UK to consider repairing this one, it was close though but the damage at the front was the turning point really
Scary
Shame to lose a J ltd. I anticipate that mine will likely be coming to you for rear arches at some point , so hope it doesn't end like this. Also as it is a J ltd, does it have a build sticker on the B pillar door shut.
Sure way to tell it had been repainted is the J-Limited had a black windscreen surround as standard, I'm pretty sure..
Yes it was evident that the car had had a repaint at some point in it's life, we even expected that it would need a whole new rear quarter on the offside, but we didn't expect to find the shear level of bodgism that we uncovered
Original J Ltd was all yellow, but the later JLtd 2 had the black windscreen surround, so easy to tell them apart.
Gutted to say the least, some nice parts fitted to that mx5 , If I had the lottery win this weekend, I'd pay for repairs to get this mx5 back to its owner .
The owner was surprisingly calm about it, he said he had a feeling there was something not right with the car, but he had it for some 14 years and has had his fun with it, so he was happy to move onto something else
Such a shame, lovely car with a lot of nice aftermarket pieces.
Shame about those chrome rear lights tho
@@guitaristanime true they are a bit much for me also, though easily removed.
Do you guys sell the jackson racing intake? if yes, where can i find it?
Yes the Jackson racing intake is for sale, email Ollie@themx5restorer.co.uk for a price
@@lightsuplightsdown3018 i sended an email
Damn. I really feel of the owner. What a shame.
Who's on Jim's ramp please?
You guys should buy it clean of the customor and save it
This one is being broken for parts I'm afraid
@@lightsuplightsdown3018 NOOOOOOOoooo!!!!
Guys, You forgot the Lotus-style nose badge...
:-(
Do you buy the cars off of the customer if they can't be repaired? Surprised you have any space left in the car park for another one lol
Yes we do in many cases
Oh dear 🙁
Previous owner's dodgy repairs... Do you folks have the ability to check accident history online? Something similar to the US CarFax system? Oh, and how much for Ash's neck beard?
We can check certain things in the UK, but we believe a lot of this damage happened in japan before the car came over
Jesus - this car is infested with all the sh1t that any normal owner would sling in a skip and have to find original bits to make it normal again.
