does united allow for schedule changes after 120 or 180 days? also, does day one start on orientation day, or after the several weeks of training? thank you!
I think you have to wait six months for trading shifts. And your hire date is when you start your orientation. Once you are on payroll-that’s your day one.
Hey BT, Since the last time I committed, I saw a Ramp Agent position at Delta. My daughter, who works for Delta, told me I probably wouldn’t like that. I trust her judgment so passed on that. Since then I accepted a Mail Clerk position at our Children’s hospital at the end of the month. Not the airlines but exciting just the same.😊
Apply for Delta Seasonal position you work 150-800 per year which begin & end from October to October the benefits you fly free & get a 401k but you have to pay out of pocket for your medical, dental & vision
Thank you so much for the input. Right now I am just waiting for them to call me back for a badge pick up. I was hired by United Airlines and they made a copy of my vaccine card to keep on my file.👍
I've been a passenger service agent (ticket counter and gate agent) since July. My on the job training began at 4 am! So you are right, be prepared for anything and be able to adjust your sleep schedule.
@@miraanderton8419 After our week away training, yes we had a test. After on the job training there is no "final" test but we have ongoing online trainings that are routinely done and they quiz you at the end of each one.
Hello..I just started at Southwest..Customer Service Agent…we have to memorize over 100+ different airport abbreviations…lol But it’s cool..does anyone have any advice on studying them?
Yes use flash cards and test yourself two ways: Name the city from looking at the abbreviations, and know how to name the abbreviations from seeing the city name!
For airline, I mean when you actually work for the airline and not a contract company. Like not a third-party. For instance, some people work for ATA and that’s a contract company and they do American Airlines flights. But they don’t actually work for American Airlines. So they don’t have the same type of benefits.
Hi, I got hired on the spot after my face to face interview by "OUR" airlines on Nov. 10, 2021. Did the fingerprints that day on the spot because they had it onsite at the ORD Hub, also I did my drug test the next day 11/11/21. Waiting on the background check to be completed. They have it where you can track the progress so it seems like it's 3/4 completed. How long does it actually take for the background check to be completed?
Delta requires all new hires to vaccinated. With regards to pay. Southwest, American, and United staring at top out pay can be googled. If you google the union contract for each airline
Good luck on your interview! I don’t know how to prepare for the psychological test. I don’t know if you can. However, I would Google it and see what you need to do. I wish you the best!
Great video again, hey my uncle in USA got hired to be a ramp agent.. with United airlines. He is 56 will he be able to handle it. He is very healthy as he is blessed. I live in Philippines 🤗🤗 What do you think his schedule would be like Again God bless you and your family you're a blessing 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much! Congrats to your uncle! The great thing about your uncle starting so late is that he only has to work five years before he retires with full flight benefits. That’s a great deal. I’m not sure how many hours he will work. I think it will depend on his station and if he is part time or full time.
@@TheBohemianTraveler I'm sorry for this question I don't know if you retire from the airlines do you always get the fly for Free or only when you're working sorry for the questions

I work on the ramp for an airline at a diversion station. How often have you dealt with diverted flights as a flight attendant vs airline ground staff? Can you do a video on your experiences from both ends and advice on dealing with diversions?
Every airline is different but generally if there is a part-time opening you should be able to switch. But most things are according to seniority and station needs.

Ah... so the $200 a month is a penalty if Delta employees don't get the vaccine. OK, I was like man that's big increase to pay for health insurance.
I don’t think they still do that.🧐

Yes you do. You need a valid drivers license to drive on the ramp.
Also don’t forget to add you will be standing on your feet ALL DAY the entire shift, wear comfortable shoes and a back brace
