Making a comment for the sake of the algorithm. You might actual be the best Japanese teacher on RUclips when it comes to useful and practical education, the fact your enthusiastic and interesting doesn't hurt either :)
I never comment on videos, but I want to help out every way I can! Your channel is incredible and getting me through my second major in college. I learned this stuff years ago but it's still great to review and hear your clear explanations to better understand even the basics!
I’m very late to this but I want to help you in the algorithm. Your explanations really help me to decipher the academic speak they use in our Japanese textbooks. The textbooks are helpful but the grammar points to me are very wordy with a lot of technical language that just makes it hard for me to understand what they’re saying this particle does. Anyways thanks!
The case of "日本語で" like "bla bla but tell me in Japanese..." I can see why. But the cases where I think "日本には" (in Japan)... I head "日本で"... why's that?
0:46 How come when I googled, it says "I'm late for work" but when I chatGPT-ed, it says what you said "I'll be late because of work"? I suppose chatGPT is better overall?
What do you think of directly translating 'de' to the English term 'via'? Like "I go to work via the bus." or "I learned that via books.". I never see anyone talk about that, but it feels the most intuitive term possible.
It certainly could work for a few of the usages. It would be a little awkward for "using a location to do things" though. "I played baseball via the park." For the rest, it seems to fit well though.
Just found your channel and I just wanted to say that you have some of the most useful and helpful explanations of Japanese on RUclips! You’re very clear and explain things in an easy to grasp way. Thanks for what you do! Subscribed!
I will be stalking this channel for a while. Started learning Japanese a few months back and at first, all was well, but now the participles with the diff uses are starting to confuse me. You are Godsent! Sharing with my friends! =)
See thing is we all consider this to not make sense or is confusing but the fact is English has similarly confusing stuff that wouldn't make sense to anyone else learning English. It's all about growing accustom to it like we did in English.
When talking about # of days like that, you use で。 You only use に when referring to specific days in the calendar. 例え: 二日に(ふつかに) = on the 2nd 二日で(ふつかで) = in 2 days 一日に(ついたちに) = on the 1st 一日で(いちにちで) = in 1 day Just remember this formula and you gud 👍
Please consider sharing the video if you found it helpful! =)
Practice the で Particle and tons of other grammar at www.tokiniandy.com .
So can i say? ばすでしぶやにいきます Sorry i still havent studied katakana and kanji im still gettting better with hiragana
@@yordysantana2453, yes, you can certainly say that. Good job! In normal Japanese, it would look like this:
バスで渋谷に行きます。
@@josephcoram4361 thanks for helping

Thank you!! That's super kind. ☺️
@@ToKiniAndy it's probably true 👍
I wanna ask if he's single with で.Can i say 独身でいますか?
Yep I got recommended
These real time animations - lighting up as you speak - are great!
I'm glad to hear that! It takes some extra time, but I think it's worth making. =)
Nice and simple. All the Japanese teachers seem to go in for long, verbose and to me incomprehensible explanations. Thanks for your effort.
i learned more Japanese from this one minute video than 100 days in duolingo
Proud of myself for knowing every verb shown here!!

You are an amazing 先生
Amazing explanation thank you so much
Taking Japanese in college right now and this definitely does help simplify things when using で. Keep up the short informative work!
I'm glad it helps! Thank you, and I'll do my best!
劇場でお楽しみください。
Awesome explanations as always 😊😊 and the editing is so nice !!
Thank you so much for these short and really helpful videos! just in time for exams as well :)

The case of "日本語で" like "bla bla but tell me in Japanese..." I can see why. But the cases where I think "日本には" (in Japan)... I head "日本で"... why's that?
日本には + something exists, or I GO to something
日本で(は)+ some action done in Japan
Love it! Perfect amount of time to absorb the purpose of で。also, just signed up for your “course” and its been great thus far. (: thanks
I really like your videos but sometimes they are a bit too short. At least one more example per use would be nice.
Huh, you can just say で instead of まで in the last sentence? That's kinda neat.
I always assumed in the last example you would use the "まで" particle to imply "until a certain time."?
I was wondering the same
Me too. I am disappointed not to see a reply from a knowledgeable person clarifying the difference, if there is one.
What will we do without you
I'm cramming to learn japanese before I head to japan, so I strongly appreciate short straight to the point videos! Thank you so much!
while watching the vid i thought the vid has like a couple million views but damn bro you deserve more than this!
Thank you! Maybe some day!

Google is pretty bad at Japanese. 😅
Love that this is a super short but powerful lesson. With this format, reviewing is a breeze.
Thanks man, you are the best!

Wait で is almost the same as “por” in Spanish

too fast
still good tho
Would it also be okay to say kono ibento wa juuichinichi ni owarimasu?
