A common question I see is people asking where in the signal chain you put your tuner pedal. Working in a music store for a decade, and being on Internet forums for double that - almost everyone says to put your tuner pedal first in the chain. In my opinion this isn't the best place.
Putting in front doesn't allow you to mute silently if you use distortion pedals after it and have them on, and not mentioned in the video, Wah's and fuzzes hate buffers, which most tuner pedals have.
Try it after your distortions, so that you can mute your signal, reset your pedals, and tune up

Judging by my DM's, Guitarists will always tell you that pedal order is subjective and to experiment - unless it's a tuner pedal apparently. How wrong am I here?
Definitely gonna try this. Thanks!
I’ve always placed my tuner at the end of my signal chain for this very reason. Never seemed to be a problem.
Another good thing : if you have a bad cable or a problem with the power supply at the other pedals, you can silent it.
great thought! I use it to test my pedalboard too, if I don't have sound but can still tune, the problem is after the pedalboard!
I have a crappy tuner for if I need to do that. Wasn't a bad tuner, til I did an outdoor gig during the day and couldn't see it. It's now a mute/a/y pedal to me.
actually that's why I like the blue led tu-3w! better daylight, 3 beers in, viewablility
Nice! I wanted to know if placing a tuner at the end of the chain for buffer reasons is fine since I have a buffered wah at the start if the chain. This is perfect and makes a lot of sense, thanks!
Nice! Thanks for watching!
Very new to me! I just use my vol knob .
Dude, you're hilarious, great stuff. Subscribed
I bought a cheap tuner to put at the front of my acoustic board, and unfortunately a ground loop happens, but it also happens when I plug into the through of my DI which is at the end of my board.
maybe the tuner is too cheap? Which one did you get?
thanks for asking, M-vave, I was basically looking for small, accurate and not too expensive...ruclips.net/video/jRLvJhJ_wHU/видео.htmlsi=-z9dHJoHtX3UY31r@@DannyUnderwood
I love you too, man.
Keep on keeping on my dude. Thanks for watching.
I have a buffered wah at the beginning. Should i put the tuner after that or before
I would say wah first always. they are picky about things. It's unlikely to add noise to your signal, and you could tune with it on or off it wouldn't matter
First time finding this channel- earned my sub.
Oh hey! Welcome! Let’s talk about stuff and get a little weird!
Noise gate fixes this issue very well
Very true! Which do you like to use?
More pertinent question would be to work out why your signal is so noisy in the first place….
Gain baby, I love gain.
Well I mean doesn’t a volume pedal help with that??…
Yes! I've never loved having a volume pedal though, it always felt like a waste when I have my volume knob on my guitar. but I get why people like them!
