- I've been talking about this pattern drop for weeks and now it is finally here, meet Ida Jean. This is a quick and fun sew, I'm planning on doing another version of it soon. This block gives you two main options: have fun and pick your favorite. This pattern has multiple sizes I chose to do the Baby Quilt size but the next one I do will be the throw size.

I have a problem cutting into fantastic fabric UNLESS I find a fantastic pattern or bought it for a specific pattern. Beautiful fabric deserves to be featured in a beautiful quilt!
You are not wrong. I usually only buy fabric for a specific pattern buy Tula is my exception
LOL. I had a lot of fabric. Then, during the pandemic, a friend told me a friend of theirs had a lot of fabric she wanted to get rid of. Now I have a TON of fabric, a room FULL!. It IS my retirement plan! 5 years and 11 months before I can wake up early to start sewing, and sew late into the night without worrying about an alarm going off!
I love that you have a plan.
I know how you feel. It depends in the project when you will cut into your favorite fabrics.
I love your enthusiasm.
I love your block. So very pretty.
Thank you.
This is why I have a large stash!
I couldn't believe myself
If those are 8.5 inch squares, you can get another at the fold, just iron it flat. I Usually get 5 squares and an inch or so left over. I understand you staggering to get different looks. Love your creativity and watching your videos.
Thank you for sharing
I like the way the panda fabric seems to float above the background fabrics.
I felt like that too. Thanks for sharing with me
Thank you❤
happy to share
I just signed up to get my free pattern. Thank you.
It's such a cool pattern. I'm actually going to show you two other ways to play with it.
@@MACoutureCrafting I look forward to it.
Wow! What a pretty quilt! Great fabric combos! Love that orange…I’m obsessed with that shade.
I love a good orange. Wait until you see the orange I used for Friday's drop.
welcome to the dark side! Fabric Stashlandia! lol love the quilt!
Lol I'm going to have a long conversation with myself
Love the layout you used. Along with the colors, especially the orange, the quilt top is full of movement. It just sings!
Thanks for this comment I think it made such a happy quilt.
I am using my Queen of Hearts for Ida Jean, luckily I have both colorways. Thank goodness for finish the bolt sale at my local quilt store.
Yours is going to look so good that Queen of hearts is perfect for this quilt
Very cute quilt! Love the panda!
Thanks for watching
See how that grew Max when you cut into your Panda fabric 😊 You still have a good size piece to have 🩷
So true!
I, too, have issues cutting into focal fabrics. However, a wise person said, “Imagine what the fabric stash will bring in a garage sale when your family sells it!” Enjoy it, cut it, make a quilt, bag, table topper that someone will treasure.”
I'm going to have to revisit that stash and figure out exactly what I'm doing. I refuse to be a hoarder but nothing felt right.
Love that grey fabric!
Thank you.
A wonderful choice of fabrics and colors.
Thanks for hanging with me.
So beautiful
Thank you so much
This looks fun! I must try, already downloaded the pattern, thanks!

Thanks, I like to keep it funky!
I like your layout without the large blocks of color
Thanks I'm going to do another one that shows off the large blocks of color more.

Just finished working overtime & I was so pleased to see this video showing how to make this quilt!! Love it!!!! I have tons of stash so I’m feeling your pain. Honestly, I’d love to find some of the Tula panda material. Love Tula!!! Another great video, thank you!!!!
This was just a bonus video this week. I'm so glad I was able to pump this out.
Looks great
Thank you
Love it!
Thanks!!
I just discovered you! You sound just like me! "This fabric is so pretty I don't want to cut into it." You are entertaining along with being instructional. The panda!!!!
Oh thank you! Welcome to my quilty family.
I thought it came out really well. I wouldn't have had a problem with the bears going both directions for a baby quilt. Tfs 😁💗
You’re welcome 😊If you don't mind about different directions it will go even faster.
Thank you!
I'm happy to share.

You will not be disappointed in the HD9. I'm really feeling Orange
I can understand where you are coming from…..I too have a hard time cutting some of the fabric I have….why am I saving it????? I don’t really know. I am hoping your video will unlock this for me…I have subscribed too!
Welcome to my crazy channel I'm always happy to have a new quilty BFF.
🥰
😁
I love your seam guide. I have a problem with keeping my seams straight. Long story longer, who is the provider of your seam guide.
It came with my machine but I've seen them available for purchase. I love it.
Love this! Great work!! I too have trouble cutting my stash!! Soooo hard to make that first cut!!
Also, I noticed you ironed with your wool mat on your cutting mat. When I did that the heat went through and warped my cutting mat!
One must be careful when using your wool mat on your cutting mat. I do it for camera reasons but I'm careful about it.
Hello, I'm new to your channel. I am also new to quilting, you make quilting look so easy. I brought a bunch of fabric, but I am so scared to cut it. I don't want to mess it up. Thank you for such a great video!
We are going to get you cutting fabric soon.
