A few weeks ago, I realised that I idolised relationships and having a boyfriend/thinking about my future husband was the thing I most desired and most wanted - God was second. So I believe He’s challenged me to do the Bible In A Year so that He becomes the centre and core of each day and so He becomes the one I most desire 🙌🏼❤️

I was 5 years of chronic illness! I was Semi Housebound, lost my health, job, finances and my fiance left me. I couldn't even look at electronic screen for 5 minutes, or hold a 10-minute conversation.
But God did an amazing work. And if he can do this, he can do it in you too. 👍🏼
I now have a Christian Channel where I encourage people and show them what God did in my life and that there is hope for you also. ✝️🔥🙂

@@sophiem3794 thank you so much!! I think I'm too much of a perfectionist. I want to read the Bible everyday and do 3 other devotional series every day plus uni work. Sometimes I feel I'm doing too little but then I think about it and its actually too much xD you understand?

A big wall of text incoming. I tried to whittle down 30 years of testimony, but it became somewhat sloppy and a lot of it was held back because of length. Anyway, here is how and why I am here:
I just started watching this because I just found your channel. :) I'm nearly 50 years old now. I first got saved when I was 22 and still in college. When I first got saved, I was chasing Him with all my might! Then, I graduated and began pushing God away. I always thought I was still steadfast in my beliefs, but I wasn't. I quit going to church completely. I still prayed daily, but it became more of a chore instead of a blessing. That continued on for years. During it all, I was growing desperate to change my life. I was working in the IT field and pretty much hating every second of it. Every night, I prayed that God will take that job... and I will not finish with that thought. As I said, I had spent years pushing Him away and my "filter" was strained.
When I was 39, I was out riding my mountain bicycle. It was an early Saturday morning and I was angry. I had to go into work even though it was my day off. I got angrier and angrier... and then nothing. I hit the dirt... HARD. I couldn't figure out why I had lost so much control, but I was hurting. After a while, I got up, walked over to get my bike, rode to where I parked my truck, loaded it in the back, and drove home. When I got home, I unloaded my bike and took it upstairs. I tried to take my shirt off to take a shower, but I was hurting SO bad! I got back in my truck and went to a medical emergency place about half a mile away. I was joking around with the doctor as he was taking an x-ray of my chest when blackness came. I woke up across town in the hospital. I had a stroke.
That was a little more than 10 years ago now. At first, I was happy! I didn't have to work anymore! I was permanently disabled! Then the years started to pass and I watched everyone I knew walk away. In my "righteous anger," I shouted to God, "Why are you doing this? TO ME???" I decided that God didn't exist and I started to contemplate suicide.
About a month ago, I finally stopped to listen. God was with me the whole time actually! I can look back on my life and recognize the hurt God felt when I walked away, but He was never far away. He was watching everything I did. Even the stroke had Jesus's handiwork attached to it. I can remember nearly every prayer I muttered about "I hate my job! Take it from me!" I then remember the day my doctor told me how I wouldn't ever be able to work again because of that stroke. I think everyone thought I would be devastated, but it was pure joy I felt and continued to feel for the next year. Jesus took the hurt away by giving my a way out of my job. It didn't go away until I started to miss all my friends, but that was His work too. Everyone I associated with were not Christians and when approached by a Christian were absolutely horrible in their reaction to them.
I stopped running and pushing God away about a month ago and fell down and prayed with conviction and repentance. I'm amazed at how the joy was immediately returned to me and, overnight, the youtube suggestions went from things of the world to things of Christ! I have a lot to learn again, but I am now excited that I am alive to take this journey!

I think God has put it on my heart to focus on my mental health this coming up year. I'm always depressed, stressed, bitter, and having anxiety. I'm gonna try to focus more on who I am in Christ, which is something hard for me to do. I'm going to try more self care, like more bubble baths :)

This video has helped me realize that I haven't made Jesus the center of my life, because the struggle of my sinful ways. I find myself weak willed. I pray, I read my Bible, praise Him through music, and boast of His strength and mercy, but. My relationship with God could be better. I take for granted what Jesus did for us to be able to have a personal relationship with God. I can be very selfish and I do struggle, at times, putting myself before others and doubting God. During the video at 5:03-5:05 when you disappeared, I got chills thinking about how that's exactly how I imagine the rapture will be like.
& relating to the video, at that very moment, nothing we did will matter except for the things we did for Christ.

I've been watching coffee and bible time for three years. Its so hard fine such inspirational Christian people on youtube. I can feel the holy spirit through your bible study and in everything that you guys do. He is really used this channel to touch and reach so many aspects in my life that I never knew I would of gotten from a youtube channel.

I think God really wants me and us as children of God to seek and desire having a real relationship with Jesus Christ. God has showed me so many things I have been doing wrong this past year, with my family, friends, and my walk with God as a Christian. I really believe I am going through a desert and God is trying to refine me like gold through fire! If someone else is going through a desert, keep going, keep fighting you are not alone in there others just like you fighting the same fight and we are not alone. Just to second what Ashley said God is calling you and telling you to come back to Him, he will take on your anxieties and your difficulties, just trust them in the hands of Jesus Christ! I was so touched and moved by the title.. I agree 200%. After many years of new year plans/goals turning into empty words (and now not making a list of plans,) Bible plans and prayer plans are important but God is much more than that... Personal relationship with God and individual maturity from it... is really what I want.
Plus, I keep receiving verses from Jeremiah this week including today's sermon. God wants me to turn to him and call out to Him...
