- HEY FRIENDS! Here is a very real vlog from my everyday life. This is what I do when my quiet time routine is a STRUGGLE. Don't worry... we have ALL been there! I hope this video encourages you and helps you get back on track! Jesus LOVES you. He longs for you and want's to spend time with you :)

You just summarized my struggle. I just got back from Bible camp. Haven't finished unpacking! I'm so distracted during my quiet time! You, though, gave the perfect prescription: Change it up! So I'm going to a quiet spot in a small quiet park. Bringing my Bible. And my "Coffee and Bible Time" notebook. And just praising and meditating on the Word.👍

I also went to a Christian camp to learn to serve God better and grow spiritually!😍
I actually often had a harder time to “get into a quiet time” after comming back from Bible camp. I think the reason might be, that while at Bible camp - you basically think about God, pray, worship or study the Bible - all day long. No distractions, and everybody else is doing it, so it seems effortless. The second you come home - the weight of your life is on your shoulders again and what seemed so easy at camp is suddenly so hard, isnt it? I think it might be something like “postcamp blues”, and this shall pass in no time :)

It’s always hard when you come back from a spiritual high. Mission trips, weekend on a retreat so on and so on. The enemy is trying to distract us.

I just want to encourage you that God doesn't condemn you when you don't have your quiet time with him, but he is always waiting with his arms wide open for you to come back to him, like the Prodigal Son. Try to remember that you spend time with God because he loves you and you love him so you want to deepen your relationship! If you see it as a chore, you will feel condemned, but God wants you to look forward to this time together because he loves you so much. Keep going :) he's waiting for you!

I never thought to use the library for private Bible Study. I will have to try using the library or maybe the beach to draw closer to God.

This was a great video. With kids and a husband that are constantly demanding something from me and interrupting it's hard to get the time to focus on Him unless I wake up really early before everyone else. Getting a room in the library was a priceless idea. Thank you!

Ashley you just encouraged me to go to my local library for my quiet time. I truly have lots of distractions at 🏡 home.
On days I just don't have the time for my normal study hour, I just reread the past notes and refresh!
That was a joy watching you go through your QT. I'm 59yrs old, I've been a Christian since i was a young girl and it would have been such an encouragment to see people of my own age showing me how to change up my quiet time. Even seeing you enjoying the Lord is lovely. I still love my quiet time and wish i was a bit more disciplined. God is so patient with us, he is a rewarder of those who seek him. God richly bless you. I just found your channel not long ago and have been watching tons of your videos! 😁 I've been trying to get closer with God through my quiet time recently but it feels so difficult because I just can't keep focused, but this video really inspired me! Thank you!
Your videos really uplift me. I'm feeling really down right now. I just got some news about my health that's not really good. It's not life threatening or anything like that. All I will say is that I'm in pain 24/7 since 2008 and it's so very hard.. adding this new diagnosis is just extremely hard on me...so thank you for these videos. 💖

OMGNESSS!!! This is the first video I've seen of your channel, and I already love it so much! I agree with how easy it is to get distracted. I actually just wrote a sermon for Fine arts on the story of Mary and Martha. They literally had Jesus in their home, but Martha was so worried about the little things, like cooking and cleaning, and Mary was over there just sitting at Jesus' feet and being in The Lord's presence.
SOOO GOOD!! Oh and girl, Elevation Worship is my fave!!!! Being a worship leader, you run out of songs, but these, I never get tired of!

This is exactly what I need today. I just got back from vacation and I’m having a really hard getting back into a routine. This inspired me today to try something new and to get my relationship with the lord back on track. Thank you for your videos they always inspire and help me so much!

Seeing you journal right in your bible is so inspiring. I love to write, but I don’t do it that often because I don’t allow myself to have quiet time. My major obstacle is planning this time. I am a procrastinator and a “wing it” person at heart. I need to find a way to work around this and not just give myself quiet time with the Lord, but plan it. Otherwise I am cheating myself.
Also, fantastic tip for turning off the phone. We need to be honest with ourselves here, this is one of my main struggles. There are so many tools on our phones for studying the Bible, but God doesn’t want us to use them if the phone itself is going to take us away from our quiet time. We need to know ourselves in this respect.

Lol... I saw the first scripture you had was on love. That is where God has me. I'm 44 and walked with God since 19. But fear has been a stronghold in my life and it can cause double mindedness. So I am reading his word on fear, double mindedness along with Psalm 23 and 1 Cor. 13. He keeps taking me back to Psalm 23. I believe He is healing identity issues and healing me through His love and that truth that I belong to Him and He is my Shepherd❤

This is good! I just finished up an internship for a ministry that made my quiet time really hard. But I recently finally finished a study I started on the waiting season. I posted about it on my channel and now I’m proud I got my quiet time back! ❤️❤️❤️

Omg just in the right time!! In the past couple of months I've been struggling with my quiet time, and I finally feel like my fire for quiet time is coming back 😌 I also changed things up a little, spontaniously started reading a different book from the Bible and I think it helped actually!
