As long as its "when" not "if" I think Nate will be okay with the call. At this point he needs innings to smooth out his delivery and hone his control. He be Big League bound!
there is 💯 percent a role for Pearson..if he is pitching better then others he will get in. Don't be a hard liner when it comes to the bullpen is so fluid throughout a Major league season
you say the starting rotation is full but I'm not ready to trust Kikuchi so easily. it's super easy to be like "we have a log jam of pitchers" until a couple injuries happen. suddenly Kikuchi is being relied on as a 3rd or 4th option. and I don't even want Kikuchi in the starting rotation at all. let alone being bumped ahead of the 5th spot. nate pearson is being held back by injuries. me personally I wouldn't mind seeing nate Pearson get experience and experimental starts if we suffer injuries to the starting rotation. Kikuchi and mitch white aren't exactly the most trustworthy dudes. let's say the starting rotation stays remarkably healthy and there really isn't any opportunities for nate there at all. I think he can earn himself a bullpen spot. with the kinda stuff he got I think he could be utilized very well in 1 or 2 inning spots where he throws straight heat.
doesn't really have to be an injury that occurs to the starting rotation either that grants the opportunity. if guys don't perform you shouldn't keep putting them out there. if Kikuchi is as bad as he was last season they can't extend his leash and hope he's pulls it together at some point.
I’ve gave up on him awhile ago, to be honest. It’s always something with this guy, can’t stay healthy. I think he was a bit high on himself one year too like buddy you’ve hardly pitched in the majors, focus on health and show us then you can pitch. He’s barely been in the majors
incorrect. if you have been watching baseball, you would know that his control is erratic and has walk rate is elevated. if he could throw strikes, he would be on the team.
Pearson has had a 63% strike rate in the minors, and 59% in his small sample size of 33 MLB innings. Compare to Manoah at 66%, Gausman at 70%, and Romano at 68% last season.
Just another pitching prospect that never materialized in the Blue Jays organization. They have very few top tier prospects in the organization, so Nate Pearson was supposed to be the ace or number 2 behind Alek Manoah. His injuries didn’t help but he had so much potential, it’s too bad.
I say get rid of Trevor and keep Nate. Pop has been pitching well too. I think that Kikuchi is pitching way better but I don't like the way Jose is pitching. If Jose doesn't straighten it out, maybe he should be sitting out. White is just not any good so I say get rid of him along with Trent Thornton.
how much cash so you think another MLB team would pay for someone who was a highly touted prospect and has been riddled with injuries and control suites over the past 3-4 years?
Yah Blue jays fans have the most amount of dumbest fans. Any american team wouldnt give this many chances to a player that cant even throw to the strike zone
Zach Pop is another arm in the bullpen to be mindful of. He's looked good at points.

only thing holding him back this entire time has been injuries and set backs in those injuries.

So you're not impressed by Kikuchi this preseason? Yeah, I know it's a small sample size, but decisions are often made with less evidence.
Pearson will likely get a shot in the bullpen at some point this season.
I've learned to not set any expectations on Pearson.

His arm can throw over 100mph with good control.
Find room for him.

his control is terrible. They had high hopes for him, but he's been terrible so far

I would keep Pearson down and if he dominates then it will be another deadline trade asset
Keep nate!!
Bro really said ryu as a starter when he comes back😂😂
Jays are losing somebody to someone, been awhile since I've seen good problems like this :)

Bye Richards. We don't need "dead weight" pitchers we can't depend on, We'll see. Go Jays Go
mitch white can take a flight, and so can richards.
This take didn’t age well
THE SEASON HASN'T STARTED YET. why are we talking like this.
I’m taking Pearson over Richards and White if Nate healthy …
How much time you gona give pearson hahhahaha only mlb player in history that is top prospect that cant even locate strike zone consistently
I think they should trade Nate Person for cash
how much cash so you think another MLB team would pay for someone who was a highly touted prospect and has been riddled with injuries and control suites over the past 3-4 years?
@@jaytabac6525 not sure what amount of cash, if i was thinking maybe at least $1000.00 maybe I am out of touch
Get rid of Richards.
They should have dumped him 2 years ago. No value in him now. Who would take a chance on him?? Oh, the Jay's would! And how has that worked out??
