Not as desperate as the Yankees will be after losing Verdugo, Rizzo and Soto from their lineup. Things can only get better for the Jays.. unless these two drop the ball and give us another 2024 free agent signings.

When Y Rod signed with Toronto last spring, he did so only IF beginning in his second year (2025) he will be used as a starting pitcher only.

i mean...one person's idea of desperation could be another's idea of aggressive wheelin' & dealin'. we need what we need, we want what we want & getting after it is to be commended (within reason ofc). that said...there is an art to successful wheelin' & dealin' isn't there? knowing how to get accurate intel, working strategically with said intel, figuring out how hard to push forward & when to pull back a bit is no easy task. hoping we can rock it this off-szn!
Alex Bregman really Doesnt deserve more than 6 years/ 120 million.
Desperation only goes wrong when you ink the check far greater than what that players worth by more then 27% percent to what any other ball team would be willing on doing. Now beating out any other ball team for any player by 10% to 15% is okay but the extension to both Vlad and No has to be done first with Vlad moving to 3rd base and Basset, Manoah and Springer are unloaded for whatever they could get as a 2 good player return investment. Its a slash and burn for a good return as a desperate move!!!

I don’t know why idiots always talk about how much the Dodgers spent in one year. It’s not about how much money is spent in a year because some years you spend more and some years you spend less. It’s about the average salary per year. Plus, if you win it all it’s money well spent, compared to teams that spend hundreds of millions every year and they have nothing to show for it. Who spent money better? And who cares if you spend the money you have as longer as your business is profitable? Sports is entertainment. The owners are putting a roster together to entertain and win for the city and fans. I wouldn’t call that desperation. Desperation is fans calling for the owners to sell their team because they don’t care about you or the city, and care only about the money they put in their pocket. You just wish you were a Dodgers fan. Go cry some more.
