    WOW I never noticed how at 2:28, Merrill taps the defender to tell him to come with him. That's so interesting! Normally you want the defender to miss you on that baseline cut for the open layup but the lane was already congested and Merrill was giving Jerome more space in the corner. Fascinating.

    Been a fan of Kenny Atkinson since 2018-2019 when he revived that dead nets team post celtics big 3 trade. That team was so fun. Its crazy the cavs features some of the same guys too like Caris levert, Jarret allen. These corner cuts and replacements remind of rick torbetts Read and React offense. I believe it's one of the first concepts: Circle movement. When the player with the ball attacks the basket with a drive the other players must move along 1 spot, corner players moving along the baseline to the other corner. Great to see it being so effective at the highest level.

    real Cavs fans know while Don is putting up the numbers; DG has been the most impactful player in the team right now. He's been clutch throughout this run for us.

    • @themashugana9440
      @themashugana9440 2 месяца назад

      Yep! He's back on offense, and instead of being the usual defensive liability he's been in his career so far, he's flipped it and become a key defensive contributor. He keeps everything in front of him, and he's been a steals machine, while also dramatically cutting down on his own turnovers.

    Playing high level ball on both ends. That’s the key. I still feel like this team has another level to unlock if Allen starts shooting and hitting 3’s. If both Allen and Mobley can hit 3’s then look out.
