Would be nice if you put the names of the other recommended styluses (styli? 😅) on the screen so we wouldn’t have to remember their names from earlier in the vid when you quickly mentioned them. Great iPad stylus review!
The rolling feature is such a huge step toward it being the plutonic ideal of a digital pencil. If I had unlimited income, I would upgrade my iPad JUST for that feature. That's how big it's going to be for artists.
I totally agree! I actually got the 11 inch 2024 Air instead of the pro, but still got the pro pencil. It works with all my old accessories and it’s still a lot faster with more features compared to my old iPad Pro from 2020. What I wasn’t expecting was with the M2 chip, I don’t notice that it doesn’t have pro motion which I like! ProMotion was great, but I don’t have the money to pay for a 2024 pro with all the expensive accessories to go with it.
Real pencils are strange when comparing lengths. So which length is the best? I’ve used my pencils until they’ve been sharpened down to a nub. Same thing with charcoals and whatever else. So, an inch, more or less, doesn’t bother me.
I’m looking for the best stylus for an iPhone. Using stylus the rubber tips end up ripping. I’m looking for something magnetic and affordable. I’m a quadriplegic so I need something long lasting. I saw elago and adonit but not sure which can uphold the best beating, heavily usage that is.
Apple moved the magnet placement on the Pros to accommodate the move of the camera to landscape mode. So, only the Pencil Pro (which has the revised magnet placement) and the USB-C pencil will work. Of course, apple could have moved the magnets to the other vertical side of the iPad (the "left" side) and kept the same magnet placement so the Pencil 2 would work but decided not to do so.
@@konstidog True - would be very difficult indeed to design a folio with the pencil docked on the other side - so, I guess they did the best they could
So the question is, will there be a 3rd party stylus pencil for the new apple pencil pro which will charge with the ipad's magnet. Cz they did make an alternative to apple pencil 2 for the previous ipad air which used to charge magnetically, no cable.
I have the Zagg Pro Stylus 2, but it does not wirelessly charge on the m4 iPad Pro. Unfortunately, it seems that none of the styluses do at the moment.
Can you send me the iPad that you tested on because I can run it using the TIYP-C port? It doesn’t matter what you send because they work with the same port. In fact, it is a dream that is almost coming true. Please reply and thank you.
They do … it’s the recently introduced USB-C Pencil.. And it works with the new ones. They KNEW that a new magnet arrangement would be necessary … and continued selling us all the Pencil 2 while keeping quiet. Bastards.
Nope, the Pencil USB-C is $80 here in the US. So all of US (see what I did) who bought the Pencil 2 for $130 are … basically going to have to use it until it dies, adn use the older iPads until they die. Apple you done us wrong. Glad that I only paid about $70 for a Pencil 2. But I suspect that all those 3rd party stylii that you disdain (c’mon some are good; I like the Logitech Crayon v2) probably will still work as they have worked,… with the new iPad.
I really appreciate Monty’s input. One of the main reasons why I subscribed and stay with you

I was worried about replacing the nib for Apple Pencil Pro - and you’re the first person to tell me I can just use the previous ones. Nice!
Great content! Could you add the recommended videos to the description, please?
Which of these work on m2 iPad Air or the m3 iPad Pro?

Agreed. I am pissed that I cannot use this Pencil on my newly bought iPad..
Would you buy an ipad pro M2 or an ipad air M2 for making digital art?

Great review, thank you! Hi Monty!! ❤
Do the Apple Pencil alternatives stick and charge well with the new iPad Air and iPad Pro ?
no
Every time I watch your videos, I miss my miniature schnauzer who died. He only lived 9 years. Enjoy your guy Monty

The biggest problem of using the Logitech Crayon is to find a case for it

that would basically make it to where you can't use a folio or keyboard cover while having your pencil docked though

but can you use apple pencil 2 to write on the new ipad pro?
@@an1rudhyt224 has anyone tested this?

Awesome! Thank you for the review! 🎉

Hi mate. Can you recommend the best alternative stylus compatible with the new ipad air 11 2024 please? 🙏🏼
Plz try to contact the pro with old version of iPad like 5th G
Hi Aaron, I'm gonna buy an ipad 9th gen soon. I also looking for a stylus pan for that but I'm confused. Would you plz help me with that?
I’m just disappointed with how expensive the iPads have gotten. I can get a MacBook Pro for specked out iPad plus magic keyboard
Apple need to keep Apple Pencil 2 for iPad mini
Is it “nubs” or nibs?! Inquiring minds want to know.
Nibs! A nib is like a bit for a pen.
Wait... What's wrong with the Logitech?

Hi! Do alternative pencils work with the new ipad air 6th?
I have the same doubt..
No it's not I tried and finding a pencil which work with my ipad air 11'' 😭😭😭😭
Which one?
@@dashrathplayz6234 can you let us know if you find a good one that works well please?
Apple should really do a version compatible with previous models. There’s a huge market there…

If your not going to use that Apple Pencil can you sell it for 80$
They don’t work on iPad Pro m4.
Sure, rub it in. I got the blue box.
Hahaha can i have monty????
The nibs feel too squishy, compared to styluses from tablet displays.
