8:00 yup!! My first car was a Corolla in this exact way! (Geo Prizm, but still). I can still feel the leather burning my thigh as I sat down on a hot day!
Loved that thing. ABS, tachometer, power everything, sunroof, front sway bar - I've learned those weren't super common on compacts in the '90s.

Fun fact about the Toyota Prius: I had to work on one in my high school auto department. We took the battery pack out to test the charges on the individual parts of the battery. It’s been 2 years since I’ve graduated and they’re still trying to fix the damn thing. There was not a single person in any class who could put the battery back together and put it in the car and have it start.

The 240sx is basically the American cousin of the 180sx and the Silvia, and all the parts are compatible. I actually plan on making what's basically an American Sil80. Just get a 240sx with the 180sx style rear end and put a Silvia front end on it. I'll import an original S13 front end from Japan, if that's what it takes
