I am also madhwa Brahmin follower of guru raghavendra swamy.
But we can't be just brushing everything under carpet in the name of heritage. Yes there is strong heritage but the people serving in Udupi are arrogant and disrespectful. Go and watch golden temple go and watch Kalinga.... There is always room to learn and improve but my experience with the people doing service in Udupi has been worst

For me I see only Lord Krishna and Mukhyaprana in that place, rest is completely opaque to me, and I don't deny the Madhwa Brahmin supremacy over the entire place, but I also give a huge respect to them ONLY for keeping up the culture and tradition for 800+ years.

Daasohaa (a tradition of offering food to devotees) is a part of all temples in Bharat how so ever big or small will have a kitchen that is big enough to serve the devotees. The concept is that no devotee should go out of the temple hungry, the food is first offered to God and it is fed to the devotees as Prasadam (food that has been blessed by the deity is offerd to the devotees).

There are no two separate panktis for Brahmins and non Brahmins. There is one pankti called CHOUKI pankti, and one regular where both Brahmins and non Brahmins can have food. Chouki pankti is usually a smaller batch to eat along with the swamis of the mutt and is limited to few people. Not all Brahmins are allowed.

The theory about Kanaka dasa denied entry into the temple & Sri Krishna idol turning to face him is false. Vadiraja swami was chief pontiff & contemporary to Kanaka dasa & this incident never happened.
This story was created by someone to bring hatred and rift between the brahmins & other varnas.
    Please do thorough research.

    • @HarishKumar-zd5me

I feel the Kanaka dasa entry denial theory is true because this theory is not created in recent years. In olden years , how a person can have courage to create this type of story (if it is a story) which is in favor of lower caste. Also we can see pankthi bheda (seperate row for brahmins to have prasadam) now also in Krishna mutt. Then think about olden days !!!

I recently visit Udupi and ate food in the mutt. First of all didnt understand why these people couldnt main the mutt entrance properly. Entrance was covered with grass, and more than that they allowed people to write there stupid names on mutt inside walls. They need to learn how to maintain the place by looking at Sringeri or Dharmasthala. The mutt guest houses are a total mess not body is caring feels so bad to even stay in those places. Coming to food, it was not at all good.

People need to stop calling it as divine. You people don’t even know how those temple people treating Brahmins n non Brahmins. Importantly you don’t even know the importance of the temple. Why there is kanakana Kindi? I can’t believe they serve people on the floor. Where everyone walks? There is separate food n food serving floor for Brahmins n non Brahmins. With so much devotion I went to visit temple and came back with utter bad experience. Krishan ran away from those pathetic people long back.
