As a person from Coimbatore and currently living in the US, I really feel nostalgic after seeing this video. I have eaten a lot of times in various branches of Annapoorna & Gowrishankar and its really true about taste consistency over the years. It was like a normal day for us to eat in Annapoorna, but now I am craving for that Idli Sambar. So, please don't take it for granted, if such a restaurant is there in your city. Cherish it well!! Because you'll miss it more when you move to a new place.

One of their striking features is the wooden chairs. Some branches have different styles. I wish it is consistent at all branches. RS Puram (balcony style) is so close to my heart. That is the first ever Annapoorna I remember visiting in the early 80s..and I still remember how the colour(orangish yellow) and texture of their Badham Halwa captivated me, tingled my taste buds and made my mouth watery, neatly wrapped in butter paper and perfectly arranged in the tray. I have watched this video more than 20 times till now. It is such an eye-soothing and legendary documentary, with exceptional cinematography, music, direction, and the perfect choice of speakers to talk about Annapoorna Hotel. I will definitely visit this restaurant whenever I get a chance to travel to Coimbatore. The humble beginnings and the journey of taking the business to the next level, impacting so many lives, is truly inspiring. We must appreciate such institutions.

When you take care of your employees the employees take care of your business - That's the real mantra.... If you clearly notice the video you could have seen that Mr.Jegan tells about their kitchen stoves that they have modified for their employees it's really an awesome thing where the organization has improvised and spent money on their kitchen up-gradation for the benefit of their employee's health that's what gives them real enthusiasm to work and help them to deliver a greater output.. Just wow !!!Amazing Annapoorna team.
I am from Karnataka, I have stayed at Coimbatore 20 years back during my MBA studies, now also I can feel the aroma and taste of coffee and Mysorepa. During my study days, if I felt tired and to take a break, I with some of my friends used to come and enjoy coffee. The mouthful taste of coffee had remained for 2 hours. After that still I am insearch of the same taste ...not even got at barista, coffee-day etc, that time the price was ₹20 per cup, now ..?😊 My best wishes for Annapoorna golden jubilee.
I'm staying in coimbatore for the past 6 months.. I've struggled like hell to get good food.. anywhere I eat, I fell ill the next day. Finally, Annapoorna Gowrishankar came to rescue me by providing me quality food... Annapoorna is one of the places where I was able to eat proper food❤️
This is how it looks and tastes when something is made with utmost devotion.....🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. Hatsoff to the entire management for maintaining the purest of pure quality.
When I left Coimbatore with little in pocket and a lot in dreams to Chennai to pursue my career right after college, little did I know that i am leaving a trial of emotions. For the past 12 years, I make it a habit to eat in annapoorna, right after deboarding the bus in Gandhipuram before I head to my town. A crispy roast with white chutney and a coffee is enough to make me feel home.
We recently travelled to Coimbatore from Karnataka and stopped at this iconic place where the food was excellent, clean and hygenic. Hospitality was good.
I’m a Chennai person ! But this video has been captured so amazingly, that even I can feel the emotions expressed ! A perfect presentation ! Hats off ❤️

"The heart resides in it" - the same goes to the exceptional film production values and soundtrack to evoke subtle emotions to the people who even haven't visited the place; as if they already did and had some deep connection.
Very well said👌
My bachelor days at Coimbatore., job at SBI Main Br, imported Jawa, trips to Marudamalai for all Karthigai, return trip, sumptuous Tiffen
at Annapoorna’s first branch at RS Puram and back home at Saibaba Colony, memories are ever green even at my 80th year of age! Sure my friend Dorai will endorse this.
Duraisamy Right he is my grandfather?
Direction, cinematography, music, script. BRILLIANT bro.
marketing to the core..
Superb 🙏🙏🙏. And it was like a movie experience. The clarity is just like a BBC documentary
Johnrajesh nice observation bro i too wanted to compliment the cinematic look . Story board was too good .
Exactly!!
Great story, and great story telling! Felt like watching a Netflix documentary.
14:12 Am I the only one who admire his fluency and style of using the language?
What I liked the most this video is
1. When they said about the mindset behind food preparation and serving. It should always be done with pure heart
2. When they proudly tell about growth of all including their employees and their children
What an incredibly well-made feature. I came, knowing Amar Ramesh's impeccable quality of camera work and craftsmanship. Little did I expect to be moved.. and that too, by a restaurant!
Thank you!
Made me nostalgic.Back to my college days where we used to spend once in a week during our lunch break cherishing the dishes.students of Avanashilingam University students.

Coimbatore is not just a city it's emotional ❤️ Thanks for the wonderful AV 👍
Subash Bose thanks

@@TheAbinn Nice Joke sunny.....you are only a visitor to our house but not the house owner 😁
After that still I am insearch of the same taste ...not even got at barista, coffee-day etc, that time the price was ₹20 per cup, now ..?😊
My best wishes for Annapoorna golden jubilee.

Coimbatore itself has lot of opportunities. Right.
@@dileepanvm2599 It didn't 15 years ago. Now, may be yes.
We recently travelled to Coimbatore from Karnataka and stopped at this iconic place where the food was excellent, clean and hygenic. Hospitality was good.
Man it's not just a video, looks like a festival to me
I’m a Chennai person ! But this video has been captured so amazingly, that even I can feel the emotions expressed !

Thank you so much Annapoorna Customer service Team. Today I got a call from Annapoorna Hotel Customer service Manager. Provided the feedback. They assured to address the issues. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart for lending little time to hear and address my grievance.
Such great story telling and picturisation, though I live in northern part of India so far away, I will definitely visit Coimbatore once in life just for Annapoorna

I was born and raised in Coimbatore, always dined only at Annapoorna. It is one of the most amazing restaurants serving amazing food. No where in the world can you get a ghee masal roast like the ones in Annapoorna and their sambar is mind blowing!!!! For 25 years am dining at Annapoorna & still haven't stopped. Its like eating happily without any second thoughts like you dine at your mom's kitchen. Love you Annapoorna!!!! Awesome Video!!!!
