I have a 2009 BMW 335i Lci N54 the mods that I’ve done to it is MHD stage 1+ and FBO. Amazingly enough I’m still running the stock charge pipe and it’s not blown on me yet😂 (knock on wood).I’ve done things like lights and brake callipers respray as well
The reason I love it is because it’s not my daily and every time I drive it it puts a smile on my face😊

My partner said I had to buy a family car. So I bought an e92 335i and put a car seat in the back. Good enough right?
Full bolt on e50, about to get my 17ts installed on the 11th along with 3.5 map sensor 2" inlets 97506 sparks and custom tune. You've inspired a lot of this build, keep up the great work.

"I'm sorry guys... but I'll need to bribe you with..."
    Me: *Yes*
Since I'm from Belgium, I'm kinda "forced" to drive an BMW E91 335i N54 6MT Wagon from '06 which is registered as a "van"... Thank you government for those ridiculous road-taxes...
Anyway a list of mods that I threw on my money pit that I love dearly:
    - 19T Twins
    - Walbro 450 LPFP
    - BMS Dual Cone intakes
    - Masata silicone intakes
    - VRSF Chargepipe
    - Ebay oil catch can
    - Ebay diverter valves to atmosphere
    - Upgraded Toyota PCV valve
    - Masata stepped intercooler
    - VRSF 3" downpipes
    - Straightpiped
    - 2 EGT sensors (for each bank) with custom Arduino integration
    - 550i clutch & pressure plate
    - CDV delete
    - INDEX12 injectors
    - 1 step colder NGK gapped spark plugs
    - JB4 with Anti-lag & NLS + MHD custom BEF with complete integration into large Android screen replacing the OEM large Navi
Powerwise aiming for 500-ish WHP, dyno booked in November.
Again, keep up the content & good luck to you all!
    Cheers!

@J B I'm genuinely a little bit jealous (in a positive way tho :-D) that you guys can have an 1M, since that's one of the cars that's in my top 3 list :o
If the road taxes weren't so absurdly high here, I would have gone definitely for an 1M. How's the driving experience with that nimble little chassis?
But then again, can't really complain. Have an E46 328i drifter (with N54 OEM turbo, build in progress) and an E46 M3.
Anyway, to answer some of your questions:
      - 550i clutch holds up "at the moment", never have I ever launched it from a dig oO, since 1. I don't have an LSD and 2. I don't want to snap any axles. 3. Personally I think it's to abusive to use the launch control, I guess you can say that I'm to soft :D
      - The Toyota upgraded PCV valve: Honestly, I don't notice any difference... After a pull, there still is a strong odor of unburned/burned fuel/gasses going inside my interior. One culprit could be that I always drive with my window open for about 2cm (vape-life lol) + BMS Cowl filters don't really help the smell either.
I personally don't really mind, but then again, never blew any seals, replaced most of them when I pulled the engine for installing the 19T's.
Me and my tuner are aware that we aren't pushing the current build to the fullest potential, since I prefer the longevity over power.
      - Android integration: If I recall correctly, it is a joying 10.5inch tablet that replaces the OEM large navi. I then fed a wire from the JB4 through the firewall to plug it into the tablet, this way I can use the JB4 for logging and monitoring my gauges without a tablet on a mount. The EGT sensors are also fed through the firewall. It's a Arduino board, with some custom code + 2 EGT sensor's that I've drilled in the manifolds of the 19T's
If you want, we can connect on Facebook or Discord or whatever, then I could send you some pictures :)
      Cheers,
      T

Well Zijkant. An n54 in Belgium, being a petrol car😲. Interesting you got downpipes, knowing the rediculous rules at Belgium car inspection🤔. Dutch(Limburg)regards, Nico.

@@Nico_335i_DCT Pleased to meet you Nico! Yep yep, it's always a very interesting story when I have to go for the yearly technical inspection. I never replace the downpipes so they stay on all the time. I created some "drop in" secondary cats since I blew the OEM ones....🤭 (Certainly not due to the anti-lag 😇) which I quick-swap when I'm due for the inspection. I also make an E60 blend a few days prior and set a custom map in order to pass the smog test. They have hang the revs for about 5min at 3.5k, give or take, until the desired values are met. I always tell them that the cats heat up very slowly... But hey, if it works it works 😁. You still have your E93?

@@ZijkantLeutn Very interesting! I own my 2009 e93 since October last year. Bought it from a German lady which owned the car for 9 years. Only on 83k km and like new. My goal with the vert is to get it on 420Hp crank because the car is a complete M sports car, but without the M engine. But probably I have to mount sport catted downpipes. The Dutch inspection does a visual front cat inspection too. When they discover these "empty", in Holland you committed a crime!!!!
That's the only part the Dutch inspection is more insane, compared to Belgium. Regards, Nico.

    • @ZijkantLeutn
      @ZijkantLeutn 2 года назад +1

@@Nico_335i_DCT Seems like you found yourself a very decent starting platform since it was owned 9 years by the same owner! From my experience, if you still have cats's installed (primary or secondary), they don't really make a fuss about it. Mine is an '06 model, one of the very first. If for what ever reason, they would point it out you can still argue about the fact that you don't NEED 2 cats, as long as you have cats & the emissions are ok, they don't really have a point... From my point of view, the technical inspection that is performed here in Belgium is purely a money scam. I totally agree with the fact that any motorised vehicle should have fully functioning lights, tires, brakes & safety devices like seatbelts. But all the rest of testing they perform or visual inspect is a load of bullsh*t. Like for example: "Emissions", that doesn't make any sense in the slightest. The amount of pollution that all the cars in Belgium produces versus the amount of chemicals that ships, airplanes, industry produce worldwide are peanuts. So to tax it that heavily is purely from a beneficial financial stand point.

Love the continuous updates on the build! With that said, I convinced my 'ol lady that she needed another convertible and talked her into an '09 E88 / 135i M Sport with ~60k miles.
Within 2 months it's now deemed my car with DCI, catless downpipes, 5.5" FMIC, charge pipe w/ Tial bov, MHD stage 2, 1 step colder plugs, titanium catback exhaust, (catch can on order) and planning a full engine out maintenance overhaul this winter as well as silicone inlets, port injection, XHP and JB4 to top it off.
What was once (for 2 months) my 'ol ladies car to let her hair down through town is now a car that will rearrange her makeup, straighten any wrinkles she may have acquired, spew groceries through the air like candy at a parade and demasculate Corvette, Mustang, Civic and Subaru drivers (as if the last two have testosterone to begin with) from light to light speed.
*Upgraded turbos and meth injection being discussed, just need more brownie points

I have 2007 bmw 335i e92 with a 6 speed manual transmission. The mods Im running are clutch master twin disc clutch, burger motorsports intakes, charge pipe with stock diverter valves, downpipes, 7.5 inch intercooler, 2 inch inlets and outlets, stage 2 fuel pump, jb4 with mhd backend flash e60, on stock turbos with 20-24 psi depends what jb4 map im on with a toyo r888r in the rear.
I personally think having a manual transmission is what really makes the car and takes your experience with the n54 that much more amazing and leaving you feeling like you never want to sell the car.

Had Oil leaks everywhere, running bad etc (typical N54) Instead of selling dropped subframe - 17T turbos, catless DP, -12 injectors, all new coolant system, new 02's, oil pan gasket, 7 1/2" FMIC, motor mounts, charge pipe w/blow-off valve, 450lph Walbro lpfp, and MHD stage 2+ all = 650hp & torque. Coulda bought a new car for the money but so goes the N54 ADDICTION!!. Stay "tuned". PS: did all the work myself. Thanks to the 0-60 videos. Thanks guys!!

I’ve got a 212k mile, 341k km 2007 e90 335i that stops like a startled housecat on hardwood. By some grace of god, this things original turbos, hpfp, all 6 original injectors, and even the freaking valve cover are all still solid. The car put down a shade under 420whp fbo with inlets & lpfp on e30 mix, on a dynojet.
The rest of the car is really starting to fall apart, though. I’ve replaced almost every bushing and suspension component, wheel bearings, pretty much the entire interior, and the car needs paint.
I love the e90 335i, though. It’s my favorite daily I’ve ever owned, and I have had a lot of shitboxes in my life. I’ve got a single turbo manifold and gt3582r for the car, but I’ve been needing to do brakes before I can make more power if I value my existence. Honestly not trying to bribe for upvotes, though, I could just buy this kit. Just would be convenient. Thank you guys for consistently making great content!

I have a 2008 335i sedan. I’m a 20 year old college student and bought it for cheap with a million electric gremlins at the beginning of this summer after selling my E90 328. She had bad door lock actuators and disconnecting the battery when I park was my only option. 3 months later I’ve managed to fit ARM downpipes, ARM charge pipe and Tial BOV, jb4 + MHD BEF, BC Coilovers, 19x 19.5 CSL Wheels, and maintenance of course. None of which could be possible with your your channel and the E9X community! Thanks again for allowing some of us to build our dream cars 💕!

"BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!..." Strong Billy Mays vibes there, Andrew. You've even got the beard to play the part.
Why do I love it? Love it because it looks pure sex when it's all clean, it's understated but a little bit different. The lines are simple and uncluttered and the coupe's roofline is class and a little ass. It can take me hundreds of miles each day in a Grand Touring type of role and then run 146mph on the half-mile airstrip event like it's no big deal. I love it because I've made it mine over the years and especially the last 18 months thanks in part to a dodgy Australian RUclips channel. All the interior modding aside, I've spent minimal cash to achieve maximal ass-hauling and with very few exceptions, have done all my own wrenching. I love it because my obsession with messing with it is shared with people in town, across the country, and across the world. I love it because my love for cars, in general, has led me to meet more interesting people, and make connections I never would have otherwise... I'm not a super gregarious, social guy but I'll talk cars all day. Love it because I can connect with people in literally all walks of life who share this passion, regardless of background, etc... doesn't matter beyond the shared focus on noise, shine, ethanol, and the smile we all get when we smash the loud pedal to pass a plebe or hang the ass out exiting a corner.
2011 335is - High kick spoiler, BayOptiks sequential Amber LCI tail lights, integrated backup camera, 18" HyperBlack APEX ARC-8s 235F 265R with PS4s, tint, M3 interior swap from vinyl to two-tone Novilo black/Palladium Silver leather seats, door cards, and center console, custom cluster w/backlit 335is logo on tach, 200mph speedo, and functional warmup redline, Evolve DCT paddles on Nelson Racing Wheel paddle adaptors. Android head unit w/wireless carplay, wireless charging, hidden switch for hardwired OBD port/MHD wifi adapter in footwell.
Completely de-catted with no primaries or secondaries, Vibrant resonators to eliminate harshness, BMS billet slip-on 4" exhaust tips, stock 335is exhaust with Exhaustmeister wireless control, VRSF downpipes, cheap inlets and outlets on stock turbos, custom tune by Wedge Performance, BMS DCI, Turner Motorsports strut tower brace, BMS high side catch can, 7.5" VRSF intercooler, ActiveAutowerke BOV, Stage2 LPFP, in-line ethanol sensor and Fuel-It FlexFuel module for MHD integration, xHP stage 3 for DCT box, Billstein B12 ProKit, e93 M3 front sway bar, drilled rotors f/r, Cool Carbon pads. 5mm spacers on rear wheels. Fitted a arm charge pipe, 1step colder ngk, then dci, and have just ordered a 5inch fmi, that’s what I’ll be fitting on sat. Last weekend got the oil leak fixed on the dct side mechatronic gasket and an auto service. Noticed a very slight rocker cover leak, so just ordered that off eBay. Been following since the 17t videos if i recall when i picked up my 08 535xi. That vehicle has been a nightmare but with some confidence and some RUclips videos we did everything we could to not drop subframe. Car now has waste gate rattle and need blasting has almost 200k miles on it. currently on jackstands till next season. Few year back however i picked up a 2012 135 DCT and absolutely love it the DCT is so fast compared to the 08 auto. Since you have not done the bigger dct pan but the extra trans cooler how has the heat been since racing im thinking of doing it to my 135i.

I'm in Florida so it's mandatory to own an E93 335i. Since I'm cheap and using natural A/C, I needed to make the air go faster with a JB4, intakes, charge pipe, and a PSSSSHT thingy to let people know that they need to get out of my wind. It is equipped with a turn signal somewhere but I lost the owners manual on a beach along with a shaker of salt.
Now I just need to make it slow faster with a good set of slow pedal clamps.

Ok ok, here we go. I have a 2008 335xi, went from bone stock to: vrsf full turbo-back exhaust modified to fit passed the front transfer case, vrsf 7.5" race intercooler, inlets, outlets, upgraded lpfp, precision race works coil conversion kit, and DAW stage 2+ turbos. Somehow it made 598awhp and 573tq on stock hpfp with no other fuel adders on 22psi...the fastest 0-60 I've ran on draggy is 3.6 seconds (no roll out) and a quarter mile of 11.3 @125mph (200kmh) now my car smokes like it's on fire! So send me a button so I can feel better about spending money on the turd bucket

E60 530d (M57). It’s running a R90 HPFP, big hybrid turbo (GTD2872), decat and DPF, 335d rocker cover for CAI (so it sounds like a proper diesel intake), rear muffler delete. I’m working through the tuning process at the moment and I love it just because it’s something different in Australia and is cheap as chips (and reliable) to run as a daily. I love it just for the shock factor when people realise that a diesel blew them off in a puff of black smoke. And it does great skids.

There is a old hot rod technique to rust proof things when your get the bolt red hot with a torch and dunk it into a cup of dirty engine oil, the carbon in the oil creates a hard coating on the bolt when it gets red hot and the oil evaporates

Hey guys, been a relatively long time follower.
I drive a Subaru Liberty 3.0R Spec.B Post Facelift, 6spd Manual. I absolutely love this car.
I have done a full exhaust, headers back to exhaust tips, I have done coilovers, sway bars, upgraded control arms, headlights, tail lights, sound system, engine refresh, upgraded clutch, and i'm currently middle of doing a turbo manifold for it to bolt up a GTX3576R Gen 2.
I love this car because it handles fantastic for a wagon, can haul my kids around, can sleep in the back off it with the sun roof open to chill out. That EZ30 (Subaru 6cyl in a Boxer configuration) just has a unique exhaust note, thats unmatched by anything other than porsche. Its a torque monster with fantastic gearing, reliable for a Subaru with great tuning potential when I turbo it, and throw it on flex fuel.

One issue that may be, the BBK discs are about 4-6mm thicker than stock. Could be a possibility tho. That said, most of our cars have bloody warped stock rotors, main reason i went BBK on my car was cooked rotors and the vargas car is the same.

This was posted in e90post earlier this year regarding these brakes "A good friend of mine as worked for Brembo during 8 years he was in charge to control quality build in China.
Brembo brakes are now made in China and Dickass was one of the manufacturer. What some call knock off are in fact produced on the same assembly line." The truth is that this is the case for a lot of products.

Not that I know of. But depending on how these go they are cheaper than a set of genuine rotors for our e60 m5, so we will see about maybe putting a set on that.

I saw a comment recommending 8.8 grade bolts, you had a 12.9 grade cap head bolt in your hand so I wouldn’t go less than that! Your local nut and bolt specialist will have quality zinc coated fasteners in stock (hopefully manufactured locally) that won’t rust and will be able to supply the lot for sub $60 AUD - both front and rear. Just take in what you have and they’ll be able to measure the pitch and length to size up all of the replacements for you.
