When we're not working on cars, we're watching the Grand Tour!

Here’s a useful tip for ya! When changing break callipers, use a bit of wood and press the pedal down and move your seat forward and lock it in position, you’ll lose a little fluid to begin with but it won’t drain the reservoir and it doesn’t suck air back, once done just bleed them up! Simples haha
Bloody hell! Things you forget when filming.
Done this, works like a charm!
They actually look really well made and fitment looks awesome.
That fitment made me tingle in all the right places 🤗🤗
Great video! You mentioned wheel spacers in the video, it will be great to see what size you go for as there isn’t too many pictures of the E90 with standard alloys and wheel spacers. 👍
Very nice stuff, finally. And I love the name😂. Dutch regards, Nico
Personally, I always thought the 335i brakes were subpar, mind you I did all the basic mods with hawk pads, fluid, lines, rotors, triple check the bleeding and for a whole year thought they were crap, best upgrade I ever did was when I bought the m4 calipers for 300 bucks and mounted them with 370mm disks, now braking was reliable and inspired confidence. I guess it really depends on what you are doing seeing as I go and track the car. Mind you Apex wheels cleared the brakes while remaining 18 and I think I read somewhere that you can get their 17 to clear the 355 rotors you have there as they have better barrel clearance than the oem wheels.
Away from that, its really cool to see how you guys somewhat helped them in their new design and are showing the process for this brakes, cutted it real close with the ineer barrel vs caliper it seems (lol) hope to see the future review when you actually put them to use on the rolls.
On a side note and off topic, MHD recently released a way to patch the accelerator lag to 1m standards for the n54, tried it recently in my dct at the 1m setting and it really changd how you feel the car around town or in tight scenarios, you should check it out in the dct swap car if you havent yet messed with those tables.
They look awesome! Are you still able to hook up brake wear sensors?
I run 18"BBS CH on my E90 with F30 Msport upgrade.. Stock Msport 18's like yours didnt fit but the CH does nicely!!
Haha, i wish it was that easy, but from what i recall, the rear dust shields wouldn't come off without wheel hub removal.
Brake shudder is usually control arms
Also at least you put the calipers on the right sides! I got my calipers around the wrong way first bbk i got and had the nipples pointed down 🤣
Yessssss!!!
Im putting giant 335i brake calipers on my tiny Z4C 👍
A few tips for ya. First, clean the new rotors once installed, before you mount calipers and pads. Second, clean the central hub from rust scale. Third, a tiny amount of anti seize compound on the central hub, and the lock screw that locates the rotor to the hub, will do you wonders in the future. Don't panic about how much fluid you would lose while changing lines, it is minimal. ABS valves won't let much fluid through while the car is not running, you may lose whatever fluid is in the line but it won't drain the ABS pump.
Alas... Air can travel back up the lines and play havoc with the abs pump.
Hence why ista has the ability to pulse the abs pump on fluid changes.
The caliper design, and hence, pad coverage on the rotor is what makes the biggest difference up front. You don’t need to change the rears, IMO.
How come you don’t want to link where we can get them?
Hey everyone.
I got these brakes from the same supplier for my E90. Everything started off great and brakes look decent. Been having issues with the front as I'm having a weird noise of the brake pads rubbing against the rotors while driving or thinking it could be that the pads are't retracting all the way causing them to wobble and hit against the rotor.
I've tried everything to realigning, even spent some $$ on hawk pads instead of the cheap Chinese ones and even rebled everything. I'm stumped, my mechanic is stumped, and I also took it to a brake shop that has experience with real BBKS and they can't figure out why it's making that noise.
Communication is non existent. And you just ignored by the all the people working for the supplier. Most seem to not have issues but if you get a bad batch like I have you are SOL. and down $$
just my 2 cents.
Can you please check if these rims fit? BMW LA wheel, ellipsoid styling 162
Will they fit on a 06 3 series 320d ? M sport ?
Where are you buying these brakes because I can't seem to source them in the United States
I wish you near me so I can drive over and do a cool colab big brake upgrade video on my E93.
Hi..... 400mm front and 380mm back?????
I kind of wish they were unbranded 😅. If your brake tests go well I may think of buying them, as I will need new brakes at some point after the winter.
I know right.. for some reason private body parts come to mind when I read the brands name
Cool option for us !
How do you deal with the pad wear sensor? Is it simply dis-connected from the inner wheel arch ? Open circuit.
You need to close the circuit. Interestingly this car has already had a front sensor delete. The rear won’t work tho.
For F10?
The branding still makes me laugh 😂
They do look pretty mint though, let's hope they're good!
Good ol Euros and there sacrificial rotors.. makes me wish they made a set of big brakes for my nugget tho 😏
Im surprised they dont do anything for the holdens tbh
@@ZeroTo60Tube yeah probably to much of a junker for em 😅
Hi mate, have you done a video on an oil cooler? Wanting to get one
Only on transmission oil cooler. We actually have 3 here ready to go on the 17t car, OHHRLY and the vargas car. So will have a vid in the coming weeks for sure. We have sold a few of them now and they definitely help in the QLD heat.
Haven't seen your videos in a while, where the beard come from? You watch 300 recently? 😉
Do the new brakes take the electronic wear sensor into them? Man those wheel weights are close.
The fronts do the rear does not. However the front sensor has already been deleted on this car.
How to get new pads and rotors when they worn out?
Interested in the answer to this question as well.
Would you say the track brakes they offer are better for the streets then their standard pads?
track pads for everything
I love how you are still running the knockoff Brembo’s. No shame in your game.
It is what it is here….. just imagine the hundreds of people pretending they bought real ones..
Oh BTW, just do a wheel stud conversion......lifesaver.
one day, one day haha.
@@ZeroTo60Tube Don't wait, do a titanium wheel stud HAHAHAHAHA
It sounded like the wheel weights were clipping the caliper? or was it just noise from not being fully bolted up? 3rd option I'm hearing things 🤣
I heard it too. It’s probably safe to say that the wheel weights need to be moved now .
@@chrisrobles2012 From my sanity, thank you.
I will double check although the wheel wasn’t properly tight at all.
Zero To 60 , if you scratched them, and you don’t want them anymore, just send them to the states. I’ll gladly take em’.
Hey, i really want to know how was your old AliExpress Brakes holding up?, is it any good or not?, wanted to buy too for my car (only going for the looks). thanks in advance
It's good, few teething issues with certain bits but got there in the end. The upgraded pads i think are a must
@@ZeroTo60Tube Thanks for your response, i’m considering to buy it now 👍🏻
What offset wheels are those? My wheels are ET30 and I want to know if I should expect to need spacers
These were et38 from memory
@@ZeroTo60Tube Awesome, thanks for the reply
hello guys can you give a link to the big break kit. thanks
Once tested yes.
I just wanna make sure bleed nipples are all good
Ok be healthy;))
Er, anti seize for the pads?
I have never bothered with that before and never had an issue.
Just sent them a msg seeing if they had something for a E53 X5 3.0i but not sure if I can send them a message in English or to have it translated do I also need to tell them my stud pattern size sorry unsure what to ask haha
I can only find the 380mm rotors on the site. Do I need to contact direct to get the smaller rotors for my 18inch wheels?
Yes, try and get in touch with Angela on whattsapp. She is pretty good with the english translations.
@@ZeroTo60Tube any reason you opted for these opposed to the ones Angela has with the actual brembo logo?
@@nasirholiday90 Because they are not brembo.... Close but not the real thing.
@@ZeroTo60Tube Thank you I was just wondering if there was anything physically different I know clearances are weird on these kits.. I think I’ll stick with my oem setup. I cross referenced both of your videos on these and made the decision to pass on it. I probably wouldn’t offer links to these being such a critical component to a vehicle.
Mounting those beautiful brake calipers and seeing those ruined rims is not a nice sight.
Never start a thread using a power tool. 😃
Yolo!
take the dust shield off completely, your brake pad life will go up significantly, been doing it for the past 25+ years on everything
Interesting, how does it improve life of the pads?
@@ZeroTo60Tube the dust shield ends up holding heat on the rotor and the inner pad wears faster than the outer pad because it can't dump it's heat like the outer side facing the wheel where there is ventilation. In some instances it will also lessen caliper spread. All my service vehicles and personal vehicles, millions of miles mate.
how much is the kit?
You will need to contact them directly, being the manufacturer the prices do change a lot but normally around $2000usd delivered bit.ly/3d5cxhO
Looks like AP Racing 9040 clone
They look the bollocks!
How long did it take to get ur kit
1-2 weeks from memory.
Just when I got my F8X brakes... :( And my experience with those was shit (not due to the product, but the seller).
Sorry to hear to hear dude.
@@ZeroTo60Tube What size disc was the fronts? I am gonna run the m4 380mm disc with my 18"s 😃
@@grovsey3656 according to JR the wheels fit if you look in their gallery of the bmw M2's. JR sl01 is the rim
@@Zalle335 These discs are 355mm and mm away from the OEM 18. You will be able to run some 18 inch wheels with the 380s, but they will be specific aftermarket ones for big brake kits.
@@Zalle335 How did you find the 380mm F80 brakes? Were they a significant upgrade in stopping power over stock? I have been thinking about these for myself but I'd really like to know if they're worth it or not! Thanks
Was the retaining bolt on the caliper tightened to the industry standard two ugga duggas? 🤣 So many would be triggered
I’m All about those industry standards.
@@ZeroTo60Tube i have a send it policy on most stuff like that. Never had an issue over or under tightening.
Why can’t he be my friend. Lol.
Other than the fact that they say Dick Ass they look really cool😜😜😜😜 and on the next episode of Zero to 60 Andrew will be reviewing Chinese ceramic coating called Bukkake Juice
Lolllll one of your dinner comments mr Rolley
The true story is, the owner knows nothing about English, and he registered something like dis acceleration, then somehow get himself a dickass. It was such a famous joke in the industry. That's why I always laugh at ppl, put these on their car, but they are decent product do LOL
