    Keep talking as much as you want! I appreciate everything you say! I am learning so much. There are so.e things I knew; but a lot I didn't know. I am 63 and I'm trying to eat right and lose weight, build more muscle, etc. It's hard because of circumstances and I emotionally eat due to several losses I went through last year. I'm still grieving and constantly stressed and overwhelmed due to circumstances. I'm also depressed and dealing with excess anxiety. But I keep trying and listening to your very helpful videos. I'm also learning how great intermittent fasting; but of course only if it is done correctly. But I can't do this until I can manage things more.

    I've tried creatine for the first time. I've taken it for 15 days. Mentally felt very well, had sharp focus, and improved cognition, however, I got so physically inflamed, that I couldn't walk. My ankle was swollen and my heel was injured. I've read about associations with kidney stones and creatine and I have this same issue when I eat oxalate-rich foods. I stopped with creatine (it was only 3g a day) and it took 4 days to get back to normal. I can't believe I can't use it 😫😫

    But nothing I buy is organic high quality especially the animal foods not because I'm being rebellious but because high quality is too expensive out of my budget

    I get weighed on a clinical bia scale at my prover's office on a regular basis. I feel so lucky to have this available to me. I was disheartened to discover how seriously inaccurate my Renpho scale was at tracking my progress. Perhaps I had a defective one but it was so off the mark that I threw it away.

    Great informative video, as always. I am having a difficult time with eating the 30 grams at each meal and feel as though I am so overeating. I have been following a 15 hour fast daily and eating 3 meals per day. Is this normal to feel I am overeating to get in the 30 grams of protein./meal. I was hoping that the 30 grams of protein would encourage my weight loss journey, along with exercise and strength training. Am I doing something wrong?

    You suggested taking 5 g of creatine a day and doing a loading session of 5 g four times a day for 5 to 7 days. When you’re saying 5 g a day, are you meaning in addition to the creatine you’re getting in the protein you’re eating? Meaning, if I eat 120 g of protein, I’m probably getting 5 g of creatine if it’s coming from Beef, pork or salmon. So are you suggesting taking a supplement of an additional 5 g of creatine on top of what you’re getting from the protein that I am eating during the day? Also, what source of creatine in a supplement do you suggest?

    Do you recommend Leucine supplements?

    • @jjvirginvideos
      @jjvirginvideos  2 месяца назад

      Hi there! Leucine is key for muscle protein synthesis and growth, especially as we age. If you're not getting enough from foods like wild fish, grass-fed beef, or pastured chicken, a leucine supplement can help. However, it's important to balance all essential amino acids for optimal muscle growth and recovery. Hope this helps! -Team JJ

      I disagree! I did Keto for 5 months and my weight stalled for 3 months. Changed to a low calorie high protein diet and weight train and now I’m seeing lots of great changes. I eat roughly 1700-1800 calories a day. I was a size 14 now down to a size 4. My metabolism has increased significantly. I feel like I can eat more without gaining fat. I can see muscle definition in my arms and legs. I’m a 44 year old female and this is the best physique I’ve ever had. I look good therefore it makes me feel good. 😊

      Wrong! Keto diet won’t make you loose weight. It has some benefits, especially for people with epilepsy but it’s not recommended long term and won’t make you loose weight unless you spend more calories than you ingest

    • @clairesingleton7399
      @clairesingleton7399 10 месяцев назад +5

      The only way to lose weight is to be in a calorie deficit - whatever eating plan you choose - Keto, etc, you’ll lose weight because you’re in a calorific deficit. Go in a surplus, you’ll gain weight.
