    I wish I knew this when I was younger. I was diagnosed with Ankylosing spondylitis when I was 20 and I was told the opposite of what you share. I suffered so much. Luckily I found yoga and info on gut health at 40. Now I’m 56 and doing a variety of exercises with different types of yoga, lifting and I feel younger than ever. For the past few weeks I'm checking my calorie count, I'm keeping my carbs, sugar & fat low but I'm eating at least 25g to 30g of protein with every meal & OMG I've never felt my body change like this before. I'm literally dropping lbs. I did keto several times over the years but all of that high fat did nothing for me. So to now try & keep my fat low feels really different. But it's actually working & dramatically. High protein is the way forward for me & thank you for your advice

    Hi, thank you for the information.
    You and all nutritionist or people who help with tips and facts about weight loss, almost always mentioned tips and ways on how not to feel hungry, so I want to say that I NEVER feel hungry as an adult like when I was a kid, and my stomach would growl just before dinner time. My problem is that my taste buds are ALWAYS hungry, not my stomach!! I think there are more people like me after adulthood! I can be so stuffed that I can't move, but my taste buds still want to eat!!! That's the "hunger" I would like someone to study and give help with. Thank you 😏

    Out of necessity my diet consists of only meat, fish, eggs, and occasionally high fat dairy like cheddar cheese. I also can't do caffeine. Obviously I have the protein part down, and I know I can tolerate lemon juice and ACV. I hate ACV though. Maybe I could mix both the ACV and lemon juice into water, and sweeten it with allulose (which I also tolerate, thankfully), making a sort of lemonade?

    Due to kidney disease I have to limit proteins. I try not to eat a lot of red meat. But you’re right there’s nothing that satisfies as fast as red meat. Once n a while I do crave it and fall off my diet. I actually try to keep my blood acidity level low, as acidly blood is hard on kidneys. Basically it’s higher in fruits and vegetables, and use the protein almost as a condiment. And avoid grains. I’ll have to look into where apple cider vinegar fits in.

    I love green tea but it gives me heartburn. Is there anything that I can do to be able to drink it without the heartburn?

    • @jjvirginvideos
      @jjvirginvideos  Год назад +1

      Green tea is a fantastic choice for its health benefits, but not so much if it's causing you discomfort. Caffeine can increase stomach acid, and even though green tea has less caffeine than coffee, it might still be enough to trigger heartburn in some people. You can try going for a lower-caffeine version or decaf to see if that helps. Also, steeping it for a shorter time can reduce the caffeine content.
      Another trick is to sip your green tea with a meal rather than on an empty stomach. This way, you're not giving that acid a chance to get too feisty. And remember, portion size matters - so instead of a big mug, maybe try a smaller cup to see how you fare.
      If you're still getting that burn, consider the temperature of your tea. Sometimes, very hot beverages can irritate your esophagus and be a trigger. Letting your tea cool to a warm temperature before drinking might just do the trick.
      Now, if you've tried all this and you're still getting heartburn, it might be time to look at what else is on your plate. Foods high in sugar and simple carbs can be bigger culprits in acid reflux than the actual coffee or tea. So, take a peek at your overall diet and see if there's anything else that might be contributing to your heartburn. We hope that helps! - Team JJ

    You are just so inspirational. Your story is amazing. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for lipedema. I have it in both legs thanks to a failed ankle surgery. So, I am hurt and have lipedema. Not an easy daily life by any means, trying to flush my own fluid from my body. My MDs are not really seeing the bigger picture. Thank you.

      I don't know what you mean. Are you asking a serious question. The lipedema happened after the surgery. I assumed it was cause by damage to lymph nodes. Are lymph diseases your area of interest or do you have lymph diseases.@@lisaa3978

      Full cup of tea, your choice. I use green tea
      I don’t measure the rest but it’s about 2 TBL of ACV and lemon juice. A couple of shakes of the ginger, termeric, just one shake of the cayenne pepper, and 1-2 TBL of honey. If you want to omit the pepper and add more honey that’s fine too. It’s all on how you like the taste. But those ingredients together really help in our digestion and kick start to the day 😊

    Do pickles count as fermented food?

    • @jjvirginvideos
      @jjvirginvideos  24 дня назад

      Hi there! Yes, pickles can count as fermented foods, but only if they’re made through natural fermentation and not just vinegar-based pickling. Fermented pickles will contain live probiotics, which are great for gut health, but you’ll need to check the label to ensure they’re unpasteurized and don’t have added vinegar-those are the key signs they’re truly fermented. If you’re looking to boost your gut health, fermented pickles can be a great addition! -Team JJ
