I think the forcible element of imagination was very cleverly applied here. It's what you don't see that makes your brain fill in the gaps. Many horror movies employ this method too. Our own imaginations will create things scarier than anything we can ever see in practical effects or animation on screen.

5:35 the sounds are so realistic which gives it a really eerie feel amazing job on the producers.
I love the beautiful insight of the story. People can't appreciate their own beauty unless loses it all and then tries to rejuvenate themselves but only at a price of another loss, the loss of the ability to taste the flavours of a natural life.

This is the most refreshing short film I’ve ever seen from this channel, a nice break from all the predictable monsters and questionable acting. The script and animation is incredible and left me really uneased, great work! I had seen this a few years back and came back to revisit and I still love it just as much.
When he said the gap left by the missing tooth was thoroughly explored and enjoyed by my tongue of fond reminiscent, as a missing front tooth person I can totally relate to this 😅

It's the films that aren't exciting but rather, disturbing. The writing is incredible and the details that show the story of a demented mans life is creepy. Alter never seizes to intrigue. They have a gift. This is art.
I feel like the most disturbing thing in this short is actually the sounds and music. The animation is scary enough but the sounds enhanced it for me. ESPECIALLY when the dude slid a knife on his teeth. That shit made my skin crawl

What I got from the ending:
His obsession with teeth became exactly that from the occurrence of loss, but with the idealism of becoming more. With teeth that he deemed to be perfect, he lost the tip of his tongue. What's a perfect pair of teeth without a perfect tongue to accompany it.
