We couldn’t have afforded a new kitchen if we hadn’t tackled it ourselves. IKEA quoted us over $10,000 AUD just for the installation-and that didn’t even include the prep work you see in this video! I hope you don’t find this video too long or boring-it’s always tricky to decide what to include and what to leave out. Thanks so much for watching! 😉😊😀

Not at all long or boring! Can't wait to see it finished but probably not as much as you two 🙂

@@bubarong Oh thank you, yeah, I'm really missing having a kitchen, I'm trying to decide what to cook first. 😄

@ I was thinking of German Sauerbraten, or Rouladen or perhaps Cabbage Rolls - it's a hard decision 😉

@@leescooking Yum I love cabbage rolls ... I don't make them very often nowadays as it is so hard to get a whole pickled head of cabbage unless I pickle my own and for me it's got to be pickled lol I'm interested in how you make yours.

You are so brave to tackle a kitchen install. It is a real education to see how tricky it can be. I hope it all turns out well in the end.

Oh, thank you, I think it will turn out lovely. Mike is a bit of a perfectionist. He had to redo the kitchen bench, but now he has the join almost perfect.

OMG.....what an undertaking. It's a huge job. But you wont know yourself when its all complete. So great that Mike can do most of it himself with the help of his lacky😂. Love his accent BTW. Loved watching the video.

Hey Carla, I have not much idea how to do these things, I try to help a little, but I do keep him fed and the coffee going. 😏😃 When we were putting the cupboards together, we timed it, and it took Mike 7 minutes to put a cupboard together and it took me 1 1/2 hours 😉but I can use a drill a bit better now. Mike doesn't like his accent, but I do as well. ❤

Oh, thank you so much, I think the soup would still be tasty and super healthy with pesto. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I am really missing having a kitchen, but Mike's nearly finished the install and then the fun bit, decorating it. I'm trying to personalize the kitchen a little and playing around with painting my own tiles, I really like them so far. Love from 🦘❤

Loved watching this video, but there is no way I would trust my own husband to install a kitchen. Your lucky Mike knows what he is doing. Can't wait to see the end result, all the best.

hehehehe, I wouldn't trust my ex husband to hang a picture frame so I know what you mean. Mike's been a tradie all his life, so he knows how to do a lot of things. And his German heritage makes him very good at finishing it all off, he is super fussy with tiling and in the end we got a perfect bench top join. He did have to redo the first one though.
